A mature, non-cliché drama of the year.
This is the best 2024 Korean drama for me. I love how mature it is, the balance between romance and life/work is meticulously done. It is definitely catered towards a mature audience and I love that about it. There was not a single episode wasted, every last one was packed to keep you intrigued and interested throughout.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

It's not that bad, but it's also not the best.
It started well, but Mirae's character became too much that I had to drop it. It's such a shame because I wanted to watch Minho. I also like the parent's story. It was different and would have been beautiful to watch without Mirae's interference. I liked the younger brother although he is immature, he knows his place and allows the parents to solve issues on their own.I would have finished it, but I hated Mirae's character too much that I absolutely could not keep watching.

A great story in the wrong hands
This drama had potential. If only it landed on the right hands, it could have been exceptional. The story is promising, but the delivery by the actors is seriously lacking. The main leads have no chemistry, and if it is there, it is forced. I'd like to point out that chemistry is not making out/sex. Chemistry is the underlying tension between couples that you can feel even when they have not spoken a single word to each other. Having characters suddenly fall on each other, and catch each mid cliché-fall is not chemistry-it is forcing chemistry. There are plot holes in the story, and overall it does not deliver. Given its title, I expected more.

Love yourself...know your value and self worth. Lessons from the characters.
I love this drama. So much. The theme of the show is loving yourself enough to acknowledge that the world will never and doesn't need to revolve around you, people don't need to like you, and you don't have to be perfect just to fit what society regards as perfection. Loving yourself is the sincerest form of maturity because then, you can overcome anything that comes your way. Nan Nan found love, but not because she was insecure and was looking for someone to validate her self worth, but because love came at a time when she had accepted herself as she is. Love, to her, is not a complement, but rather a compliment.
