This drama is absolutely out of this world. I wasn't really expecting much and only wanted to watch it for Kim Dong Hee, but it exceeded my expectations by a ton. The acting and the emotions conveyed were on point, the theme song is so catchy, and the plot line is intriguing and you just can't get enough. I bingewatched all 10 episodes in one day because I couldn't put it down and I kept wondering what would happen next. This isn't your typical high school drama; it's so much darker and tackles a larger topic and really pinpoints the struggles and risks some people will go through when they're desperate. The message of the story is big, and everything that happened was so unpredictable. Right when I thought things would get better, it just kept getting darker and darker and it left you with so many questions in the end. But overall, this was a amazing drama and if there's a season 2, I'll be right here waiting for it.
I was first introduced to this drama by my Chinese friend. I'm more of a Korean drama person, but I decided to check it out. Though, I was only a few minutes into it before I instantly grew bored and dropped it. But at the beginning of 2020, I was reminded of it again, and I had nothing else to watch, so I tried to give The Untamed another go. I'm so thankful that I did. I was so hooked on the drama that I finished all fifty episodes in just a week and watched around ten episodes everyday. I fell in love with Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji and they meant the world to me. When Wei Ying died, I couldn't stop sobbing for twenty minutes after his death, and I even cried myself to sleep that night. I rewatched multiple scenes from the drama over and over, and I cried every time I rewatched Wei Ying's death scene. When I finished the drama, I realized I couldn't move on from it, so I rewatched it all over again. When I finished it again, I just had to rewatch for a third time. This was one of my all-time favourites.
