Better than original!
This review is mainly for the people who have already watched the original, I will make a comparison.
While the original series was amazing, this Thai version takes it to a whole new level. They spun the story in a way that made much more sense to me, and they "corrected" the main shortcomings of the original series. I absolutely loved this rendition, because (SPOILER ALERT!!):
1) the person who steals her house is her sister, which makes much more sense in the real world. It also makes more sense why she didn't go to the police. I would've probably made the same decision, which I definitely would not in the case of the original series, where the thieves were her awful friends.
2) they fell in love at halfway through and the story was solely focusing on them. There was less drama with other people in general; at the beginning he was even mad at the other woman, he also didn't regularly stand up the heroine, that only happened once in the second part. There was also less meddling of her sister/bf, they didn't randomly break into their house, the sister also wasn't nearly as mean, she was always heavily influenced by her bf, etc. There was also less involvement of his family. The story really focused on them spending time together and annoying each other (loved the broken leg theme, where she had to nurture him).
3) loved the other guy! He wasn't as handsome as the hero, so I didn't get the second lead syndrome like in the original series. He was also very likeable, always acting properly and scolding the other woman what was she thinking, clinging onto a married man, and vice versa he scolds the hero that he's hurting the heroine - BIG like.
4) the resolution with the other woman was a tiny bit different, but it made the whole difference. In the original series, the hero is loyal to the other woman till the very end, until she tells him to go. Here, the hero is angry that he has to stay by other woman's side and even tells it to her face ("Now I cannot love her, because of that stupid promise I made to you"). And in the end, he himself declares that he can't do that anymore, whether she agrees or not.
5) I'd just like to comment on the acting, I really loved the heroine's sad act. When she stays at other guy's house after the rain and they sit on the couch and she breaks down. Man that physically hurt me, she is such a good actress. And again when she returns with the hero to the house, and they sit outside and she quickly says she can't listen anymore because she'll get even more hurt. When she stood up quickly and kinda patted his knee and ran inside holding back tears, I thought WOW that's exactly how it happens in real life, again she did a fantastic job.
