Interesting concept, pretty good show
*light spoilers*I thought this was good! I watched it bc someone said it took them back to Kinnporsche era (my all time fav) and for me it didn’t quite live up to that hype, but it was still enjoyable. Took me a little longer to get into it and finish but I liked the characters and thought the plot had decent pacing. I also thought the premise was really interesting and unique and it didn’t go how I expected. However I didn’t like the choice to mainly use the actor for New Joe even in flashback scenes that technically should have been Old Joe. Even at the funeral it was New Joe’s picture up. Was a bit confusing at first and kind of took me out, but maybe that’s just me. Otherwise, the actors had good chemistry and I liked the heartfelt ending. I’ve seen some people complaining about Ming’s behavior but I personally don’t mind toxicity in fictional relationships. It often adds interesting conflict anyways. I also really enjoyed the dynamic with Joe’s mom, I thought it was really sweet. The whole cast is clearly very talented which is refreshing to see. Overall, I can’t say this is a favorite for me but I definitely enjoyed it and would recommend giving it a shot.
Also one of the soundtrack songs has notes that sound a lot like the old Microsoft start noise and that made me laugh like everytime XD

This was the first BL series I ever watched and it holds a special place in my heart for so many reasons. I think the pacing is really good, the story definitely held my attention, and the cast does a fantastic job. The chemistry between all the couples is so great. I love the premise, the dynamics, and even the absurd ad placements (they make me laugh every time). Of course, it's a drama so the theatrics can be a bit cheesy but I think it's fun to just embrace this and roll with it. This is one of those shows that I'll wish forever I could relive my first watch. This series set a pretty high standard for me, I expect it'll be my top fav for quite awhile.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
