I'm Millie. I'm small and ginger, and I'm getting old (when did I turn 25? how did this happen?!).
I am a student doing BA Japanese Studies and Korean (joint honours, whoo, go me!) at SOAS, University of London.
I lived in Vietnam in 2012/13, where I spent 6 months teaching English at a high school and having the most amazing experience of my life so far.
One of my 10th Grade classes, 10A1 (I'm standing next to the biggest VIP I've ever met, Truc. She was in love with Taeyang).

I've had an almost unhealthy obsession with all things Far Eastern since I was about twelve or thirteen. It started with Cardcaptors and a manga volume called Doll (which I found in a bookshop on a ferry to France one summer), and then led to my love of Japanese horror films, Korean melodramas, Chinese martial arts films, and of course K-pop.

I've been to South Korea on holiday, where I spent most of my time in a sort of amazed daze. I also experienced the hectic subway in Seoul, the most ridiculous karaoke room ever and the danger that is drinking too much soju in Ulsan.
My totally crappy picture of the beach at Busan.

My dream is to teach English in either Japan or Korea after I graduate, and settle there.
