It Was Okay
So, this one took me a while to finish. I actually watched the first episode when it was initially released, but something about it didn't make me feel like 'Oh, I am looking forward to the next episode'.I think off the bat what I was underwhelmed with was the introductions of not only the new generation, but the reintroduction of the Suparburoot Jutathep (SJ) characters especially the couples and great grandma. This was probably what I was most looking forward to the most before the series started - how they were going to show off each parents' personalities and how maybe their kids are the same or not. But the SJ characters don't seem like their originals and I get that they are all now older and parents, but being a big fan of the original, it was a shame that it wasn't really shown much. It got a little better as the episodes went on, but still it was just okay.
And that also goes for the new generation, especially the sons. There wasn't anything special about their introductions or even to show what their personalities are. I was surprised that them just being in a room together was everyone's intros...again, I can't help but compare to the SJ series and how strong of an introduction it was for each brother and each of their future wives. Chat ended up being a breath of fresh air when he popped into the last few episodes, but at first I wasn't even excited about that, lol. Cause again we weren't really introduced to these characters well enough imo.
The main couple was again okay for me. I don't think they had romantic chemistry, but their scenes together weren't terrible either. But that really can't be helped when the FL is written to barely think about the ML especially in a romantic sense. Yes, romance isn't a big part of this one, but because of it being rare, that's when there should be moments of it where it should just then spark! But that doesn't happen here. And at the end of the day, this series is mainly about how the couples start and end their journeys. So, it should be an important factor.
The main story didn't really keep my attention. And man was that a really big loop to make the connection of how Laorchan is Thewaphrom. But the last couple of episodes were probably the best overall for me, those I did enjoy a lot more. I think I would only rewatch certain scenes rather than whole episodes. And the acting was good, nothing terrible.
I know a lot of people thought the first series in SJ wasn't the best, but it's honestly one of my favorites, lol. I think it's mainly cause of Great and Preem for me, I really liked their chemistry. So, this being the start so far is a little disappointing. But it looks to be picking up so, onto the next!

Fourth of the series, first place in my heart
This follows the eldest Juthathep cousin and the next Dhevaprom of the series, Petch and Fah. This is perhaps the most intense love story so far out of the series as far as the romance and the angst. It is a parallel to Chai Yai and Maprang's love story and what happened to Rampha after Khun Chai Ronaphee. Fah is essentially forced by her mother to take revenge on the Juthathep family, but that backfires as Fah and Petch fall for each other very hard and fast.First off, Petch and Fah - chemistry. Whether it be giving glances at each other, comforting each other, having arguments, the slight touches, the kisses...these two don't miss a mark! They really are the main reason I was impatient to watch the next episode. Peak and Mint just click both on and off-screen and would love to see them in another project. Until then, I will be rewatching all their scenes, lol.
This is so far my favorite secondary cast/ characters - the office staff, Fah's aunt and friend, the palace staff, etc. And even the villains, I liked to hate them and was actually interested in seeing their downfall.
I loved how involved the parents were in this one compared to the others. Chai Yai and Maprang were really a part of their kids' lives and being nosey like many parents are, lol.
The directing and cinematography were so beautifully done. You can tell from the first episode that this will be a treat when it comes to the visuals of the show and there really were many breathtaking shots. I also very much appreciated the aesthetics in this because it felt most like the 90s out of the series. The clothes, the references, etc.
The story is good, but perhaps the most tiring part is Rampha. I knew going into this that it would probably be more angsty than Kwanruetai when comparing the sisters (Marathee and Rampha), but experiencing it...well, they really did not slow down on her obsession with revenge. It was just a lot. But it made sense with how it ended for her in the original series.
But all the other stories were great and tied well with each other including the office drama, the romance between Petch and Fah, the secondary love stories, etc. Fah's POV especially was something I can relate to as I have had moments in my life that weren't great and I have also used forms of escapism to feel better.
I would say the weakest of this part for me was the last episode and that ties back to Rampha. The focus was so much on her and it felt like they really just braked on Petch and Fah. Of course Rampha's story is important as it's the driving factor of the show as a whole, but I wish perhaps they wrapped up her stuff either earlier in the last episode or even made it the second to last episode. I am glad though that they kept her ending realistic and realized she is not fully healed as she tried to lead others to believe.
And now my ramble has come to an end and I will just say...this was such a great watch. Was it perfect? No, but personally even shows I really like or love are never 100% perfect in my eyes. It is so far my favorite of the series followed by Kwanruetai.

Second Part is a Definite Watch
Watch it, you won't regret it, lol. That's my opening. The first episode kept my attention the whole time and I know typically it's not wise to have your hopes up only after watching the first episode, but I'm glad I did cause it did live up to it. This is another version of Puttiphat in the sense that now it's their son who is the doctor and falls in love with a down-to-earth/hardworking girl.
I want to go over my few cons/nitpicks first cause the pros do outweigh it. I didn't like how much focus was put on the bad (or 'bad' since some weren't actual villains) guys especially towards the last couple of episodes. I personally didn't care much about some of their endings so, I tended to fast forward those scenes.
Or when the main couple having a sweet scene and it kept cutting back to someone else or their reaction like the waterfall kiss scene. This absolutely does not count with the scenes where Met is the third-wheel though - those scenes are golden, lol.
The other minor ones are I wish the beauty competition lasted a bit longer and just overall, I selfishly wanted more scenes with Chat and Tai, lol. Which leads to my pros.
Chat and Tai - these two had such great chemistry. They were cute, sweet and cheeky with each other. During emotional scenes, you could see how much they love/care for each other. They were definitely one of the main reasons why I kept tuning in.
Supporting characters - Met is my favorite, gonna say off the bat, lol. His humor especially when teasing anyone is the best. My other two favorites were Ket and Kong. Seriously, what amazing siblings and the support they gave to each of their brother and sister. Overall, I think the characters were great and fit into the world well.
Story - it was good. Was it predictable? Yes, especially if you have watched the original series. But it kept me engaged and entertained which I think is important. It was nice to see the Juthathep hate from some of the Dhevaproms finally wrapped up. And the romance storyline was great which again, is important to me since that is the main premise of this series.
Acting - I think the acting was done really well overall by the whole cast. This is Mikey's debut so, you can definitely tell that's the case, lol. But boy does he ooze charm. I am sure he has a great future in acting ahead of him. I think Yada did an amazing job - I have seen her in a couple of other shows and I'm glad to see a role of hers where she finally gets to have some fun and isn't always a tortured soul the whole time. Hope that continues for her as well, lol.
Overall, this was such a great show and definitely rewatchable. I actually did rewatch episodes in between waiting for the new ones, lol.
