Long-time fan of Kdramas/Jdramas/Tdramas who started watching back in the Dramafever days, lapsed for a bit then picked up the habit again recently. This isn't a complete list of everything I've watched, but it's the most recent ones or the ones I remember well and felt strongly about (good or bad).

An overview of my rating system:

• 10★: Honorary rating given to a 9-8.5 dramas after equally enjoyable re-watches.
• 9★-8.5★: Loved it, will rewatch it, minor flaws that don't detract from the narrative.
• 8★-7.5★: Liked it, might rewatch it some point, distracting flaws hurt the story.
• 7★-6.5★: Decent, but either deeply flawed in pacing/narrative or had a bunch of turn-off tropes; probably stuck with it because of a unique premise or major hype that didn't pan out.
• 6★ and Below: Likely a drop. Hate watching is a waste of time.

Plot-driven, well-rounded cross-genre stories with slow burn romances and compelling character arcs that show instead of tell are the ideal, along with contemplative, maybe-bleak-but-ultimately-hopeful slice of life. My #1 drop/low rating reason is a lack of consistent storytelling. Realism isn't strictly necessary (outside of slice-of-life), but if a drama doesn't have some combination of:

• Character Consistency (ie, everyone is recognizable as an individual and has meaningful reasons for their actions/choices; no one magically changes through the Power of Love)
• Internal Consistency (ie, makes up rules/paradigms/logic but sticks to them)
• Narrative Consistency (ie, doesn't bury its main plot under filler/become a different drama in the second half, has a coherent, cohesive ending)
• Thematic Consistency (ie, there's a connective thread or a specific journey underlying everything)
• Tonal Consistency (ie, if there's murder in my romcom, there better be a good reason for it)
