Huh...
"So why am I still watching this?" my mind asked."It's because Park Bo Gum looks freaking cute and adorable" my heart whispered.
These two lines are more than enough to describe my entire watching experience of Love in the Moonlight.
I started this drama because of Park Bo Gum, I continued it for Park Bo Gum and I finished watching it for Park Bo Gum. Apart from that one more reason for continuing this was because I have NDD (Never drop disease).
I'll say it in one sentence IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME.
The story was okay but not interesting. SML was super annoying. FL wasn't convincing as a male or maybe I didn't like her acting in general. 'ML is gay or not?' this question made everything even worse. Whether he is gay or bi or straight just make it clear to the audience. Why go around in circles?
Throughout the whole time, the only excitement I felt was in ep 16 and that excitement lasted for only one scene. While I am at it, I would say the only character who was totally likable in this drama was Kwak Dong Yeon's character.
This drama wasn't memorable in any way except for that off-screen bombastic dance of Park Bo Gum.

An Okayish Romcom
'An okayish romcom' is what I would call Dali and the cocky Prince. Maybe it's because I had way too many expectations or something, which is why I couldn't enjoy this drama as much as I expected. I was originally planning to rate it an 8 but I am giving it one more point because of Kim Min Jae's acting.Story was good. It had the perfect balance of romance, comedy and thrill. All the actors and actresses portrayed their characters well. Kim Min Jae was the best here! His goofy dialogues and comedy dynamics with his secretary and Won Tak were something I always looked forward to. I also liked FL's relationship with her brother-like figure Won Tak. But unfortunately, contrary to my expectations, FL was weak. Too damn weak which is why I couldn't like her character much. She should've at least slapped 2nd lead with all her force!! (Hong Cha Young's slap to Babel Boss in Vincenzo spoiled me nvm)
Anyway, so back to review. There's nothing much to say about the story cause it's simple, saying too much might spoil it. Second lead was venomous. There were some dislikable side characters still the drama was good.
However I have one serious issue with this drama and it's the KISSING TIMING! This drama probably has the worst kissing timing ever!!
So there was a scene where ML was crying about his mother who has passed away and our FL kisses him to comfort him at that moment?? Before anyone starts yelling at me, here's the fact, "ML and FL were JUST FRIENDS at that scene, they didn't start dating yet." Now Like seriously! Who kisses their friend when they're talking about something so saddening? If you swap the gender role for that scene you'll realize how creepy and sickening it was. Then there was another scene where ML tells FL to sleep with another man to earn money! Right after saying something so sh*tty, he kisses her and she gives in??!!! I honestly will never understand what the screenwriter was thinking while writing these scenes. They were plain toxic. Not romantic at all.
Apart from this one issue, everything else was fine to me.
Music of this drama was good. "That's ordinary love" was an uplifting ost. Listened to it a lot of times.
As for rewatching, I don't think I'll ever rewatch it. I may watch some favourite clips or fmvs but rewatch is a NO.

Unexpectedly, a good watch!
Before starting this drama I honestly didn't expect much from it. Since it's said to be an office romance drama, I expected there to be romance, comedy, cringe and whatnot. But as I started to watch it I realized it's actually a slow burn romance with a little bit of comedy in it and both ML and FL actually act according to their age. Lmao. Their romance can be seen as being lovey-dovey but it's not what you can classify as cringe. The story is simple. There is no plot twist and it's definitely not intriguing enough to keep you hooked all the time. It's just what a slow burn romance is expected to be. It takes time for the leads to build an emotional connection and once they finally get together you can't help but swoon over them. However this drama managed to keep me hooked from the beginning, maybe because I was going through a drought of good romantic Kdrama for a while.
And while I keep saying that it's a slow burn romance the story itself is not slow at all. The pacing of the story was perfect. Every character was given enough screen time to tell their stories. One thing about this kind of drama is that by the end of it, you end up understanding most of the characters from their perspective and She would never know executed that part really really well. On that note, Lee Hyo Joo's character development was definitely one of my favourites. Another thing that I loved about this drama is the bonding of ML and his eldest sister with their niece. Their relationship might be the sweetest part of the story.
This drama somewhat shows you how karma and reality work. I won't say how, as you watch the drama you'll understand that part on your own.
As for the acting, first let me start by talking about Rowoon. After this drama, I can't see him as an idol-actor anymore. He has evolved his acting skill a lot and you can clearly notice that in this drama. He brought Chae Hyun Seung's character to life! After finishing the drama I couldn't imagine any other actor playing this role as perfectly as him. As for the FL, it was my first time seeing Won Jin Ah as an actress and she did a great job. Rowoon and Won Jin Ah were an unexpectedly good pairing <3 Wang Bit Na as ML's eldest sister was straight up ELEGANT. Her hairstyle, dress up and the way she talks make you believe that she is the epitome of a classy lady. Whoever was the fashion designer of this drama deserves a raise.
All the other actors/ actresses were good in their respective roles as well. So I would say the casting was perfect.
The music in this drama was soothing and beautiful. props to "I live in your eyes" ost for making its way to my most listened ost of all time list :D
As for rewatching, I am giving it an 8, because I am not the type of person who watches a drama more than once.
Finally, my advice would be that you should give She would never know a try only if you want something really soothing, heartwarming, not so complicated and beautiful^^

Marriage is business? More like Marriage is Trauma O_o
So let me start by saying that this drama was CRAZYYY. I don't know about others but I will definitely stay traumatized by the word "marriage" for a while because of this drama. LoL.The story revolves around a woman who has lost everything precious in her life because of some other woman. Hence the revenge-driven story begins...
The story was good. The pacing was good. It was intense and engaging till the end. Almost all the characters were well written. Although I wasn't expecting to see subtle romance here, I'll admit I loved the chemistry between the main couple a lot!
However, I think this drama should've had at least 10 episodes to develop the romantic relationship between the leads and to give more details to some characters. Also, some things were unresolved here and there... One more thing that was a bit disappointing to me is that FL didn't have any major character development throughout the whole time. Since it's a revenge plot it was natural for me to expect some character development for her but unfortunately it was nowhere to be found.
As for acting, everyone nailed their roles except for Jung Mi Jin's mom. For someone with such an important character, her acting was flat. Her dialogue delivery was the worst. The kids in this drama acted much better than her. Kim Hee Sun, Lee Hyun Wook, Park Hoon, and Cha Ji Yeon did well in their roles. But...but... The real star of this drama was JUNG EUGENE!!! Her acting was spectacular. After loving her so much in W and Romance is a bonus book, I never imagined that someday I'll hate her so much in a drama. But that only proves how amazing her acting was!
As for music, there was only one ost. And it was too good. I rarely skipped the intro because of that ost. Once you finish this drama you'll definitely end up searching for it on YouTube.
Overall it was an 8 episode short makjang drama. If you are new to this genre (like me), I think you will enjoy watching it. But if you are a veteran to this genre you might find it mediocre.

The slowest 1 hour and 34 minutes of my life
As a person who rarely skips any scene while watching a movie/ drama, I can't describe how frustrating it was for me to continue watching this. It felt like time wasn't moving at all. That's how much boring it was. I decided to watch it because of the tremendous amount of good reviews it received when it first came out but I had no idea how much biased those reviews were.It had a good plot but the execution of the story was really really really bad. It was flat and boring. Nothing exciting happens here. Rather than a movie it felt like a promotion of Chanyeol's upcoming album or something.
This movie had good actors in it but only good acting can't save a movie...
Since it's a musical, all the songs were pretty good. But to be honest, none of the songs caught my attention.
If you have a lot of free time to waste in your life or if you are willing to watch a movie-length music video instead of a story, go ahead, watch it. Otherwise save your time and watch something else.

Webtoon VS. Drama
Before I start writing this review let me say that I've read the webtoon first before watching this drama. To be more specific I was an ongoing reader of the webtoon. So sweet home webtoon is like an emotion to me, that's why when I first heard that this webtoon is gonna have a drama adaption I was super hyped up about it. My review is gonna be biased but I'll definitely try to justify my words from the point of view of a webtoon reader.Okay first of all let me start writing this review by saying this THEY FU*KED UP THE STORY FROM THE ORIGINAL WEBTOON. Now let's get into it.
Story - Like I said earlier they fu*ked up the story. Sweet home webtoon was about the residents who were trapped in an apartment for days, their struggles, their emotions, their strong desire to go back to the sweet times with their loved ones.
When you'll read it you'll feel like you're also trapped in that apartment along with the residents. It doesn't matter if you're an ongoing reader or binge reader, YOU'LL FEEL LIKE YOU'RE ALSO TRAPPED WITH THEM. Getting out of the apartment was next to impossible in the webtoon (no one would dare to do it alone), going from 2nd floor to 3rd floor was breathtaking. But the drama doesn't make you feel like that. They made it look like it's so easy to move around the building as long as you're a half human. And there was this character who went out of the building out of nowhere and came back safe lmao.
Some of the monsters were drawn so well that I was actually scared of reading the webtoon at night. Even one night I had illusions of those monsters while laying in my bed! But the monsters in the drama.... I'll be honest, all the monsters looked like cartoons. I wasn't afraid at all. I laughed when they appeared on the screen.
The lead characters had really good friendship. The way they formed their friendship/ relationship during the pandemic was so beautiful. But here they RUINED almost every single relationship. They literally CHANGED all the characters personality.
Each and every characters thought process before turning into a monster was a tearjerker. The way Hyun always resisted the inner demon in him was so so emotional. And Hyun's character development was the most satisfying part of the entire webtoon! But in the drama... *sigh*
And not to mention there wasn't any character in the webtoon who was "all about braveness". No matter which character it was, all of them feared the monsters at some point. But in the drama some characters were on superhuman level. They make it look so easy to fight monsters. yaay!!
And one more thing, I didn't like Lee Si Young's character at all. Her character was never in the webtoon but somehow I was still looking forward to this character. But after watching the drama I can say that it was the most terrible decision to add that new character. They probably wanted to show us a brave female character but to me Her character wasn't brave at all. All her actions were childish and stubborn. Her character was the most unrealistic character I've ever seen in my life. Roaming around the city with a bike during this pandemic and coming back absolutely safe. on top of that she was pregnant. seriously! No hate to the actress, I just found her character annoying and unnecessary.
Now let's not forget how they included that military sh!t instead of focusing on monsters. Poor monsters didn't even get half of the screentime they got in the webtoon lol.
In the drama they totally skipped the 2nd half of the webtoon. Wow there are so many things that I can point out. But the review is getting longer. So I'll stop here.
The only good thing about this drama was the last 3-4 episodes. Because that's when they picked up THEIR STORY and STOPPED INSULTING sweet home webtoon's story.
Acting- the casting for this drama was terrific. I don't have any complain here. Everyone nailed their character. I just wish they didn't change the personalities of each character.
Music- I liked the ost. But it didn't match with some scenes. In the webtoon Jisu writes a comfort song while being trapped in the apartment. Later Hyun names the song "sweet home" (that's how deep the webtoon was). They could actually include this scene in the drama. It could be a tearjerker ost for us. But whatever....
Rewatch: I will rewatch this drama if someday any of my sibling/ cousin/ friend asks me to watch it with them. Watching a show with someone is quite fun. Because you don't really need to focus on the show. You can just pass the time by talking with them :D
Thoughts about Season 2: I'm not looking forward to season 2 but I will watch it someday. Because this time I'll be prepared to watch a Netflix original story instead of looking for Sweet home webtoon's story.
Finally, I don't think the director/ screenwriter of this drama have ever read the webtoon. They just took the idea from the webtoon and made their own story and of course they ruined it.
If you're an avid fan of the webtoon (like me) than please convince yourself that it's a Netflix original story before watching it.. Of course it's hard to think like that since they named it after the webtoon but yeah just do it. And those who didn't read the webtoon yet, I'm sure you'll enjoy this drama. Go for it. But if you have time why not give the webtoon a try? :D
