It has an interesting mentor character too who deals with his family issues much like this drama.

There is a set of rookie cops under him, and their training and initial experience in the police force have been shown with much more detail and emotions. The rookie cops also have their own stories, and overall the characters are really memorable too, (Doesn't follow a main crime throughout the episodes, hence a different procedural style).

Worth watching if you love the initial rookie struggles and bonding between youngsters joining police force.

- Both have a romance subplot

Live has better romance and character development, with more realistic perspectives while First Responders is a bit more light-hearted in its approach though the cases are serious enough in both.
