Ending fell FLAT......
This kdrama actually started off fine but mid-way into the story, I felt that the issue with Dr Seo's missing papers were lost amid issues within the "organization". I actually reached a point where I wasn't getting the whole point of the story.Added to this the "big mouth" and "big mouse" monikers which left me confused as to what the title was.
Action wise, Big Mouth was more fast paced compared to Adamas, which was also airing that same week. But the push and pull as to who was Big Mouse kept leaving the viewer hanging.
I don't know why, but with Kdramas, endings are more often than not, very disappointing. Big Mouth's was no different. The last episodes all seemed like they were trying to fit everything within a 60minute time frame. When Miho got exposed to radiation, she didn't look sick and her passing actually felt very rushed. Changho also lacked emotion during this scene wherein he should have been devastated. Instead, he was surprisingly calm in his acceptance of Miho's fate.
These issues aside, I liked Lee Jong Suk here better than when I saw him in W. Visually, both him and Yoonah looked good together and hopefully, they will portray the roles of a couple in a romcom in the future.

for a change..... a mature rom-com
Have been watching light rom coms recently along with revenge thrillers. So, Kiss Sixth Sense was definitely veering from my current norm. The FL and ML have amazing chemistry. The second lead Male and the girl portraying the actress could have a drama of their own. Their visuals were just so good.
Storywise, this was a unique drama. There was a perfect balance of comedy and drama. However, the ever present amnesia angle and the childhood connection is once again present. (Wish they could do without these tropes in the future)
Overall, it was such a joy watching the series as a whole because they were not the typical "too cute" "too handsome" "too beasutiful" guys. Really just mature people in a relationship.

Realistically written
Sometimes amidst the romcoms and thrillers, you want to watch something closer to the realities of life. Our Blues is one such drama.Jeju is the perfect setting for this drama. The easy, relaxing, laidback country life suits the stories of the characters living on the island. This drama was wonderfully written, not necessarily perfect, but gives you the warm feeling of home. Each character was given a fair moment to shine and the ensemble didn't fail to impress me with their performance.
I loved the story of Yeong Jun and the actress who portrayed her was such a revelation. She nailed the role for someone so young. Another story I loved was Yeong Hui's, because it showed real challenges a person could face when you have a family member with a disability. Lastly, Lee Byung Hun's story was given a touching closure in the last episode. It reminded me so much of my mama because due to work, I was never that close to her. It was just work, sleep, work, sleep for me. We never really got to have any meaniingful conversation. When she fell ill, I didn't hesitate to leave my job to take care of her. I will forever be grateful to have had the chance to bond with her in the end.
If you want to watch something that is more realistic, a slice of life type of drama, this one is for you

Great Casting
One thing I can say about Kdramas is that more often than not, they manage to cast actors and actresses with great onscreen chemistry. Everytime I doubt a pairing, i end up wrong. This is one example. The King's Affection was a joy to watch, in my opinion. I was watching this simultaneously with a Queen for Seven Days; and while the stories were different, QFSD was a bit dragging for me. TKA's cast did an amazing job of bringing their characters to life; even the secondary ones.
I cannot wait to see more of these actors in future projects

Story with relatable dating relationship
I was hesitant to watch this at first because of the animation; but I am glad I did give in to the urge to do so.This was uniquely different in that it combined animation with real people. The way the writer weaved the story to incorporate the various cells was engaging. You cannot help but wish that you can hear your own cells discussing among themselves.
Since this is a webtoon, you can basically see it in most IG posts about how this season would end.
Ahn Bo Hyun was such a revelation! I didn't like his character in Itaewon Class (though he was really good there); but as Woong, I totally fell for him. In fact, for me, between Yumi and Woong, I would love to see more of Woong.
I don't know the ending of the webtoon (heard there was a season 3), but I am hoping that it would be Yumi and Woong

refreshing..
Despite their being trauma cleaners, I actually found this drama very refreshing. I loved the visuals, the drone shots....Kdramas are truly unique. They have so many original stories which can be eye openers for foreign viewers.
I loved the idea of having these trauma cleaners. For people who have experienced losses, it is truly difficult to go through a loved ones belongings because of all the memories they evoke.
Though this series was short, it showed a different side of loss. In their words, the deceased could speak and tell their stories. True enough, everything they leave behind, be it receipts, old bills etc, can easily tell a story of how they live their daily lives.
This is a recommendable drama the whole family can enjoy

Flat ending
This drama had an interesting start. I wanted to watch a drama that focused on "real" people and not the high luxury lives of chaebols. Having worked in a bank myself, I wanted to see how they would navigate office romances.Truly wanted to like this drama but that ending was just What the???!!!
Mentally going through each episode, it really boils down to the lack of communication between the leads. Too many things left unsaid left room for doubts and suspicions which could have been prevented if they were more open with each other.
I saw the ML in Mr Sunshine and dr Romantic, so it was refreshing to see him portray a different role. To be honest, he was more likeable than the Fl. He was just that Real.....
The only other plus for me would be the OST. That was something I really enjoyed.
Overall, I don't think I would recommend this drama. The frustration that builds up every episode ending was just aggravated by that ending

Interesting legal drama
There are times I would veer away from my typical drama list and watch something serious. For me, Juvenile Justice didn't disappoint. With just 10 episodes, the drama was able to show several examples of delinquency among youngsters. It is a difficult thing, handling juvenile cases. It could make or break a minor's future. I liked how the writer was able to spin different cases to highlight how the judges' decision are made.
The FL's facial expression were kind of bland but as the drama progressed, you will get an insight on how she came to be the aloof, aggressive judge...
Personally, I would not mind another season of this legal drama

Fun ride of a legal drama
Much like Extraordinary Atty Woo, I cannot imagine any actor other than Namkoong Min to portray Ji Hun. This is actually my first time to watch his works and I loved it.I liked that the show balanced the comedic moments with the serious ones. It was flawlessly done and did not come out as corny or anything. The cast has a good camaraderie that shows in their scenes together. It is sad though that it has only 12 episodes. Would have wanted to see more of them.
Hopefully Namkoong Min will have something new lined up soon

Claustrophobic setting
I used to be an avid reader. If there was one thing I didn't like in books, it was a story confined to just a small town with limited characters. While this series had numerous characters, being in a hostage situation until ep 10 (still ongoing), makes me feel too constrained.I initially watched this because of Jung Hae In because I liked his character in Prison Playbook. But it seems he tends to lean towards certain types of projects; mostly slow burn romances and serious action thrillers?? (D.P for instance; I actually fell asleep watching One Spring Night and DP)
Jisoo on the other hand, was surprisingly good for a newcomer. You would not feel that this is her first drama.
The plot? Found it lacking..... But since I am already in ep 10, might as well see it through until the end.
UPDATE: DROPPED AT EP 13

Not for me...
This is only my second cdrama. After Hidden Love, I was excited to try other cdramas. The fact that both leads were good looking and the story sounded interesting, made me try this one.Alas, this isn't for me. Many people loved it but I found it a bit dragging. I felt that it didn't need that many episodes at all.
Except for Yang Yang, who was very easy on the eyes, and the guy playing Jiang Yu, no other characters were that notable for me.
The FL's character was very flawed. And while this was probably the writer's intention, she came out as a beauty with no brains woman for me. She would probably do well as other characters but as a doctor, she failed to make it believable for me.
After half the series, I finally stopped.

Dropped...
I've been wanting to drop this drama since ep 5 but decided to keep trying just because I liked the ML. Saw him first in First Responders so wanted to see his acting range.I am probably one of the few who cannot stand the FL. Sorry to her fans, but I cringe at her acting. Must be because of the role given to her though...
Honestly do not know where this story is going, but it's downhill for me so I am dropping it now and moving on to others worth my time..
Agree of disagree, this is just my personal opinion......

Great casting
Despite living in an Asian country, historical movies and dramas are not as common here as compared with Japan, Korea, and China. Which is why I take particular interest in watching these historical Kdramas. It is a learning experience seeing how Koreans used to live in the past. The manner of speech, the customs, the social hierarchy.......
I just finished this drama and, I can honestly say, that the storyline is one of the more entertaining ones I have come across with. Although it bears resemblance to other dramas (corruption, greed, power hungry officials etc); what would define this drama is the cast and the writing.
The Crowned Clown is well written and the cast gives a stellar performance as an ensemble. The energy of each emotion is palpable to the viewer and it is a nod to the cast that they can each deliver their roles with such dedication. My favorite character would have to be the Chief Secretary. For me, he is the driving force behind the king. It may seem manipulative, but he gives sound advice and is tactful despite dealing with the snakes in court.
Was apprehensive about how it would end after watching some good dramas with FLAT endings. But, it turned out well...

So Unique....
I went into this thinking it was a dark drama. Was I ever wrong.....I am glad I finally watched it after all this time. This comedic drama is really a gem to watch. Mothers would be able to relate well to this, as it chronicles the experiences from childbirth until the time they take their babies home.
The characters all have so much depth in them, and they each portrayed a different side to being a mother.
I first saw the FL in Little Women. Though I disliked her character there, I loved her here. She does comedy flawlessly. So did the ML.
If this has been on your list to watch, then do so now. You won't regret it :)

Lovely drama
This will probably rank as one of my favs for 2023.While I was initially skeptic about the ML and FL's chemistry, after watching this, I believe both suited their roles very much.
This is my first time to see the FL (can't wait for her next project Kill Bok Soon), but I loved how she portrayed and gave justice to her character. The fact that she can make the viewer feel her sincere love and affection for her niece, is a testament to her acting skills.
Beyond the romance angle of the story, the FL's relationship with her niece is the best part of the whole drama. It reminds me so much of my relationship with my nieces. Roh Yeon Soo has been one of my fav young actresses after seeing her in Our Blues. It helps that she looks like my niece :)
The ending was also very fitting. Unlike some dramas which just gives you an ending open to interpretation, this one was unpretentious. It ended just like how it should be. No feeling of dissatisfaction at all.
Hope there would be dramas like this coming out soon....
