Nice samurai movie
An emotional story about a man who wants to keep his promise to his late wife, and an ended friendship.Watching this movie somehow reminded me of the older samurai movies. Excellent performances by the actors and a suspenseful story of complicated treacheries among a han. I was really curious as to see who the killer of the father was.
My only complaint (well, not actually) would be honestly a nitpicking, and it is that there was lack of music. There was only a single piece - I presume it is by a violin that played through the whole movie. It doesn't really affect the experience though, I actually thought it added to it.
The fights were good too. I like seeing more realistic samurai matches in movies personally and was not disappointed. I don't know if it's just me but until the last ~20 minutes of the movie, there weren't much blood shown, but after that it was like bloodbath for some reason. That was weird haha but I'm not complaining.
It could be a little slow but it was a nice watch. I would recommend.

They tried
The story was cliche, the plot moved super quick. Nearly all of the characters motives' were unclear. Even the main relationship doesn't feel believable? It all happened too fast but I'm guessing that was all because they didn't have much time to explore that.Acting was okay. I'm kind of used to seeing Japanese actors act in that kinda cringy way (like the main dude, Akagi does) but the principal and Akagi's mom was really shining in this. I think the others were fairly new actors so I could cut them slack.
The editing was horrible, you couldn't even hear the characters much because of the deafening background music.
The budget probably was my high school lunch money which is ₺0 but I still appreciate them trying to bring something to the table.

One of the my favorites!
Okay, this being one of my favorites could have something to do with the fact that this was the drama that introduced me to Takenouchi Yutaka. But in any way, it was also one of the rarest drama that made me actually cry – not once, but twice! The main story revolves around the stepmother and her daughter. Their development throughout the whole series was so heartwarming to watch. I probably cried a lot because it made me think of my mother who gave up her years for me.
[Spoiler?]
I didn't really like the time jump at first but the story needed it to continue I guess, so I'm just nitpicking. And just when Ryoichi and Akiko were getting closer, they sent him straight to heaven :( And it was hard for me to cheer for Manager Mugita after seeing them and warming up to them so much! Nevertheless, Mugita's character was entertaining to watch ^^

Good samurai movie
The plot revolves around a low level samurai who gets stripped from his sense of vision. All of the actors were amazing but I especially liked the actress who played the wife character. She really shined in this movie.
The duel at the end was really satisfying as well.
What I liked about the movie really was that the MC was a well done flawed character. Usually from the samurai movies I've seen, they really underline the honor of a samurai and the main leads usually don't do obvious mistakes. But in this one, I really got mad with the main lead's actions towards his wife at one point.
[Spoiler part:
At one point, the wife tries to ask for help from a higher up but gets r*ped in return for SEVERAL times. And when she lets her husband know of what's happening, the guy divorces him.]
He did her so wrong, but I actually liked that portrayal of a samurai character. Normally - like I said, upon what I've seen so far - when movies want to show the corrupt side of the samurai, they usually create another character, a villain against the MC. Sure, there was one, but the MC was also to blame; he was arrogant AF, didn't trust his LITERAL wife (who keeps showing hm too much love that he didn't deserve tbh).
Also, women sadly weren't given too much importance in true history anyway... So what he did [the part in the spoiler section] was actually so much better than what would have usually happened to a woman who did the same thing irl, and I liked that they decided to show this gritty realism as well. Reality isn't pretty...
Fortunately at the end of the movie, he realizes the truth and the damage he caused prior. And that is exactly what I liked: He realized his mistakes and acted upon it.
[Spoiler part:
I was really hoping she would come back at the end, and almost cried when he held her hand once again. That was really emotional!]

Kind of disappointing but will be fun for newcomers to this series
First of all, I've been a very big fan of this series since the first movie with the same name came out. So I had high expectations for this adaptation but it was, like the title says, a bit disappointing for me.I wouldn't expect everything to be same with the Japanese version, and actually, I found it very refreshing that they explored some background characters better than the original, such as the Boss' wife and the workers in MC's branch.
This is actually what bore me eventually too. As you'd expect, the first few episodes are about the MC and his relationship between two love interests but around episode 6-7, we had to see every single detail about background characters for some reason. I started to skip so many scenes at first but then I skipped through an entire episode at the end. So I said to myself, "Why bother with this?" I may finish the rest of the episodes some other time, since I already know about the outcome.
My favorite character was the Boss as he also was my favorite in the Japanese version as well. The actor who portrayed him did him perfect justice in my opinion! I also liked the performance by the actor who played Darren.
I want to talk about the relationships between the love interests. As it is a rather goofy series, I don't expect it to be too serious. However, there is barely any reason for you to believe that the two main leads could be in love at all. I'm talking about Tin and Siu Muk, of course! ^^ Seriously, all the "chemistry" they have is Siu Muk being a caretaker towards Tin. That's all there is to it to their relationship! For whatever reason, Tin doesn't want him to leave his house and he can't even give a reason as to why he wants Siu Muk by his side... So the main "couple" is not interesting at all, for me.
I gave a very low point for music because I don't think any of the background music stuck with me at all. It was almost non apparent.
All my excitement wasn't for nothing, of course. If you're a newcomer to this series, I think there will be a lot for you to laugh and have fun with. Ossan's Love's simplicity with its characters and settings were the reasons I always remembered loving this series for. It's a pity that I couldn't find it on this version.

Better than I expected
I'll start this review by saying that I don't enjoy Thai BL dramas that much, which is mostly because of the usual editing choices and the majority of having settings at high school or universities which is something I don't really prefer.I read the premise of this and was interested to see a supernatural story. It started like I expected from a Thai drama again, pacing issues and like I mentioned before, the editing (especially the sound direction). Many times the "comedy" fell flat with me.
However, the acting from the main male leads were so good. Their chemistry was amazing, and especially the actor playing Thun did a fantastic job. Someone else mentioned on the comments too but, I also liked that they integrated the university for a reason rather than just it being that way because it is (like I said) what the majority also shares.
Around episodes 4-5, I found myself getting really into the story. There were maybe too many twists, but it kept me wanting more. I felt my eyes getting teary near the end.
The ending left me a bit unsatisfied, but overall this series was a nice breath of fresh air.

3 episodes isn't enough! ?
This manga series and the first season are one of my favorite things ever, so I couldn't wait for this to be released. Finally, that day has come!Like many others also mentioned, this season was more focused on the development of the characters and less about comedy - that doesn't mean there was less of it, though! Seeing some of my favorite moments in live action was a lot of fun :)
At first, I thought the story was going to continue the same way as the first season but they did a little twist at the end. I will keep this spoiler free though ^^
I hope season 3 will happen, and please, a few more episodes this time!!

Waiting for it to get better honestly
The premise sounded funny yet the delivery falls short so far. There's nothing funny, nothing different about the story —I know it doesn't even need to be, but the way it is presented like it expects the audience to laugh at the funi. The acting of the leads are average at best, and since there aren't any side characters that really affects the storyline in a challenging way, it only underlines the two leads' lack of chemistry.
I will keep watching to see where it will be going but I don't have a lot of hope for this series. If you do not go expecting too much, maybe it will be a quick short watch for those who enjoy an easy story.
