The first half of the show was really enjoyable to watch and got me invested in the characters. The last half was disappointing in general, not due to the ending. The first half felt more compelling, tightly written, and nuanced in terms of character development and dialogue. I actually FF some particularly cringe-worthy stuff to keep going until the end. I expected there to be more meaningful conversations with the other parental candidates/figures but only the 2nd ML's mom got fleshed out more.

I was especially confused by the turn the FL's character took. I'm glad they didn't make it too angsty, but I thought she would have more complicated feelings and reactions to several of the situations the ML put her in. Even the ML was also lacking consistency in the last half, changing his feelings and decisions rapidly and in some cases inexplicably.
