It's pretty clear and obvious from the very beginning that they were riding on the tomboy train at the time and desperately trying to create a copy of other cross-dressers/tomboy-looking of other popular works. Once the grandmother appeared halfway through the first episode I knew exactly what kind of show this was going to be. It's one of those cheap ones that somewhat managed to broadcast 16 episodes. Just like most mysteries, they fall apart halfway through and this one was no exception. The outcome was unbelievably bad and the whole thing had more plot holes than a Swiss cheese. Regarding the cinematography, the levels, exposure and contrast were slightly off but distracting (mostly on the island). I checked both Netflix and the TV version and both had the same thing. Good enough
The 19 years old (Kang Min Gu) was the worst story, cringe bland boring, him and his girlfriend. Then there's the 9 years old who finds himself in a career slump and lost his 8 years old girlfriend to his rival! His story was short and funny since it was just a comedic relief. The other two stories were good. Although I would prefer if it was shorter since the story seemed too thin. Overall, it's a decent watch.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Almost unwatchable
Brothers rivalry done wrong. The plot is too ridiculous in a bad way, it lacked that tiny bit of sense to keep it grounded. Bad set up, lame characters, childish love triangle/square, disappointing revenge, and unnecessarily long. Not a good orphans focused story. The flashbacks of the kids/teen were too damn long, boring, annoying and 100% deafening. My ears! After that, there was a whole lot of nothingness until the last few episodes where things started moving again. The story was too thin it would barely fit a 16 episodes run. Most of the cast were unlikable. The drama was full of annoyances but if I had to pick a one that stood out the most it would be Chun Won worthless existence. Chun Won knew the other orphans for a very very short and brief time when they were young, yet they considered her as one of them and let her get away with anything and everything all the time. The synopsis is just awful and a sign that even MBC don't have a clear plan for the drama. Which was confirmed very shortly within a handful of episodes. It was solidified even further when the female lead Lee Ga Ryeong dropped out of the drama by episode 46. They didn't replace her with another actress, they just removed her character entirely. The drama went through a big shift after that, hopelessly trying to adjust the story but there was no saving since it was unserviceable from the very beginning. The old man love relationship was unbearable to watch. This might be the worst "family" centered drama which is weird because it's really hard to fuck up a family drama.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

This drama is the definition of scam. I would rather be robbed and slapped on the face in broad daylight! The viewers, the characters, the production team and staff all were scammed blatantly by the writer. The writer did an identical move of the exact scam with her other drama "A Good Supper (2021)". Seems to have a good track record in scamming. The drama in general was scuffed including the earlier parts. The stinkiness began as early as episode 3. I hope Han Ji Hye can pick up better projects in the future. The last project she did that was actually good was "Sweet 18 (2004)" from 19 years ago!Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Bad love
For the story and this prolific love of theirs to work, a lot of hard work needed to prove their undisputed love and the leads needed to have a better chemistry which the drama didn't do a good job of neither. They took the concept of "love" and ran it to the ground. It was nothing but ugly. There was a desperate need of balance between good and bad. The opposing party (the baddies) were invincible until they weren't. The pace was often off, 5 episodes can pass while the leads don't even have much screen time. The breakups/separations gaps were too damn long without any interaction between either sides. About 10-15 episodes can pass without these "lovers" talking or seeing each other, what is this writing?! You can't make excuses for the drama for being old because I've seen infinitely better dramas from the same era. On another hand, Suk Jin just looks too old to be involved with the others. I wanted Suk Hee to have a bigger contribution, she got less screen presence than any of the support cast.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

It works because it's silly and doesn't take itself seriously. Add to that a lot of chemistry from the trio and you get a light enjoyable watch. This is the right kind of triangle with no bad blood. Jang Na Ra is just too OP with rom-coms. Having 10 episodes instead of 16 seems to be working in its favor, otherwise it would have become melo and began to drag.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

My least favorite drama from Kim Jung Eun. The music was fine but I couldn't stomach anything else, especially Hwa Ja's loud cringiness. The drama probably had the most boring divorce case in drama history. Would be better if it focused strictly on the music.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Unhinged comedy! The earlier parts were a solid comedy full of jokes and this is it's main attraction but unfortunately they tuned down the comedy a bit in the later parts. Maybe if it was cut down to 12 episodes they would be able to refine the comedy and fit it in a better package. These kind of dramas usually have a decent concept and beginning but fall apart quickly within 5 episodes and this one is no exception. Shallow story padded with nothingness yet they don't take advantage of developing one of the side stories like Jung Yeon & Yong Duk. Not that bad if you can get over Chul Soo and his initial impression. It's mostly lighthearted and comedic without much melo. With that being said, I wanted to see more variety with the characters since it feels a bit stale as it is. Also, a better developed story was needed.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
