Do not even know how to explain this movie in words. But please watch. The MUSIC IS AMAZING, even though I don't understand the lyrics the music does an amazing job conveying emotions behind the scene. What all those body did and went though...jesus. The teacher/gardener was really full of wisdom and said what the ML needed to hear. The ending scene was really unexpected, but then again so was the movie. The scene where the 2nd ML is on the terrence for the entire day was so cinematic in its own way. You really get to know it took him long to make the decision he made, or it could be his own way of reflecting and saying goodbye in his own way (watch and interpret it how you please) Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

The face that this is based on a true story makes the story even more sad. To make matters worse, they never meet again (unlike the movie). You know this movie made you feel numb after watching it when you spend 3 hours discussing the plot and your opinions of the movie with your bf (and force him to watch it so he can feel the same sadness you had to endure). The cinematography was amazing and the original song was amazing in terms of summing up the whole angst scene. My only dislike was how even in the end birdy was so nonchalant idk. The silences said alot
The dialogue was amazing, and the chemistry between the characters was chefs kiss, but what was more amazing were the emotions conveyed during the silence periods of the film. You really got to understand the title of the movie when you finished the movie, and was up to interpretation by the viewer (depending on the message they received at the end). Great coming of age movie. Great aesthetics in the movie. The scene in there room was my personal favourite and the end monologue just put the movie together so goodVond je deze recentie nuttig?

Oh to be a women
I wish I didnt relate to this movie.... I think I can say it for most women, but we women have been through at least one of the scenes the main character had to go through. From her father only considering the health of his son, to the boy trying to grab her on the bus and her dad blaming HER. I love how the mom stood up for her when needed, and unlike some mothers (like mine) remind her of the "societal, traditional and cultural norms that women are expected to endure).Biggest fear like shown in the movie: husband "convincing" his wife to have a kid, but not participating in the child-rearing and doing the bare minimum, until the FL develops postpartum.
Please read the book, it is amazing

Oh how this movie makes you want to go back to your high school years. Watching this made me nostalgic for a childhood I never had. Loved the comedic side but also cherished the sad moments as well. I love how realistic it was in the sense that not everyone had a great future after school. Also wished they found their #6 friend before the funeral so they could reunite fully. The different renditions of cyndi were my fav, I also looked up the Korean songs played and they are a BOP
Music: 10/10
Choreography ahaha 10/10

The cinematography was beautiful. The sounds of the train track and Yumi looking out the window really had me as a viewer imagine the trauma and sadness she relived every time she heard the train tracks. The scene showing the once painted green bicycle getting rusty and dusty years later was very sad but loved how they added the scene. The cherry on top was when her son, later on, chooses a small green bicycle for himself.
Once the credits came on, it left me feeling like I first hand went through that grief, which reflects how well this movie conveyed its message regardless of the lack of dialogue.
The anger, sadness, confusion, and numbness were all conveyed beautifully!

As a nurse this showed the harsh reality of healthcare, but also shed light on how big of a role nurses play. The scene where the charge nurse stands of for the FL and reminds the family members that shunning her and considering her mental disorder taboo will only put back mental health advocacy and in turn hurt their own family members that are in the hospital. The FLs dissociation and desensitization was so relatable, and also some of the stories of the patients. Loved how they didn't overdo the romance and take away from the bigger story. Bring your tissue boxes and hydrate
Fast-paced (in a good way) without taking away from the overline story and emotions.**spoilers**
when the friends come to visit him in the hospital after quite some time, and their faces when they realize that he gotten 100 times worse from when he told them about his diagnosis. That 10-second camera pan to the friends faces was enough to see the regret and sadness they had inside of them when they saw theirfriend.
The Ex gf- did an amazing job conveying their relationship and regrets.
The main character-- you truly saw the stages of acceptance -- denial, anger, depression, bargaining, and acceptance. He was able to convey all of them in the real world and in his imagination.
Must watch, I know this movie will help you go through the stages of acceptance with the character, especially if you or anyone you love has dealt with a similar diagnosis. Be well all!
