The possibilities for this show were endless. A semi interesting story about two lawyers who represent the top 1 percent aka the rich, famous, and well off. The story's bones were there, I will say. I was compelled to watch it not because it peaked my interest wholeheartedly, but I desired to see how they would tie it together.

Our female protagonist is a colorful character to put it lightly. She is dressed like a 90's rapper: tacky, flashy, over the top, all with matching pimp rings to tie it together. While I had no problem with this (even though her hair looked like a hat most of the time), I did have an issue with how she dominated everything when she could have been easily discarded. Let's be honest the female lead should have been disbarred the first or second episode. From blackmail to illegally obtaining documentation/information, our main lead has no issues with getting down and dirty(even if it is far-fetched) .

The story begins to step into hella-far-fetched territory during EP 4. The writers poorly try to keep the two leads together by giving them cases to somehow connect them. It drags, and the punches become expected after EP 5. You sit back and say "here he/she(main leads) come." Predictability isn't a bad thing, but when the story relies on intellect and twist it becomes boring. The main male lead always fumbling when he encounters her took away from his character. He should have been ruthless, hard, not easily shaken, and witty. But since he wasn't during those forced encounters, he became weak as an overall lead. Overall I finished..... But like a $15.00 buffet with mediocre food, I got my moneys worth eating all I could, why not I am already here. But I wouldn't go back for a second time even if i was offered the chance.

It's going to be a no for me dawg

This drama has a great concept, a woman coming back to life and facing the true reality that after 5 years her place is no longer held within her family. However, it drug for me.... I am not sure if it was the casting, or how the character was written.... But Oh Min-Jung comes off extremely cold. Her presence on screen even when laughing (to the bitter end) was sad, but not because her overall character was likable, and she has something to lose. On the contrary you feel pity for her because she is so darn flat.

Our main protagonist is loved both in life and after life, and she is the best part of the show. For her alone I would recommend the story. The side stories are boring, drawn out, and takes too much time. Our main male lead's relationship with his new wife seems forced at times (most of the time honestly) when it should not be. There was no connection, even before the protagonist showed up. The ending was harsh, but in my opinion it would have been justified if there was some kind of redemption to be had.

Our main leads carry the story. The show became worth watching when they were on screen. However when they weren't, the drama's weak points peaked through like a red bra under a white blouse. It was bitter for me because I saw no growth in any of the characters besides our leads and the mother. There are well over a half dozen side stories, so there is a lot of filler. Overall I wouldn't rewatch or recommend it.

The movie begins with a woman Sang-Min (Jeon Do-Yeon) whom has a son on the spectrum (autistic), who she loves to death. Ki-Hong (Gong-Yoo) has a daughter with an extreme form of depression, whom he loves to death. Their children is what brought them together, and sadly it's what keeps them apart. The movie doesn't hold punches as many Korean dramas/movies do, it is void of tropes and foolish mishaps. You won't see a character slipping and falling into a kiss, or running away for half the movie trying to not figure out there love. There isn't any long waits for kissing. There isn't any long waits for feelings to be revealed, everything is laid on the table right away. Leaving you to feel the connection between the two characters from the get go.

Sadly this movie swimming in reality leads to some harsh realities. If our main male lead is to leave his now wife, she will kill herself. And if she kills herself his daughter will never recover. He has to choose between the love of his life, and his daughter's well being. This isn't a fluffy "they might get together later on" kind of movie. You know from the void Sang-Min is left with on the cold road smoking that cigarette that it's over. Ki-Hong tears represent that his love is not gone, but he cannot have it. It's a great movie, the soundtrack isn't loud but flows. The instruments during the love making scenes, during the empty conversations, during the happy moments, and even during the harsh ending fit so very well. Watch it! It'll make you enjoy good cinema, with harsh endings. 10/10 for me

The story was pointless

I want to first start off addressing the male main lead's acting skills. His growth, care, sorrow, and anger were all compelling; I felt it wholeheartedly. Upon facing his wife (during an ordeal) his tears flows, but his face is red. He brings both compassion and anger during every scene when he believes he will lose his wife. With that being said beyond him the show is not worth watching. The MFL and the side dude have simply no chemistry. She is just looking for a way out, after making a choice of giving up her career. Had another man come along at anytime that gave her attention she surely would have fallen for him. But beyond this you are asked all the time why do you love the second lead (side dude) again? He provides her with little romance, and they have nothing in common. It was a boring watch, and I was not rooting for anyone.

Based on the British drama Doctor Foster; our main protagonist Ji Sun-Woo played by Kim Hee-Ae has it all. A beautiful home, a great career as a family practicing doctor, and a wonderful family. That is until she discovers her family, her friends, and her home isn't all too secure. The fickle people in Sun-Woo's life will have her picking between her sanity or keeping everything she has. This drama is extremely well written. I would suggest you watch the character's body language, their emotions, and not take anything they say literally. You will be confused if you do. Literally everything everyone does in this drama is for personal gain, and words do not coincide with actions. I would highly recommend, if you are looking for something close to this/just as mature watch Misty, Secret Affair, VIP, and or second 20 (a bit more lighthearted but about mature people and a affair).

This movie was perfectly delightful. The humorist conversation, the reality of emotions after a heartbreak, the steamy sex scenes, etc. I simply adored it. It was like a 90's american romcom in every way. It brought back memories of my teenage years, where movies just let things happen; until it built to a romance. It was good for that reason, it stands out because it isn't like many korean movies/dramas; which is a GREAT THING. I could watch this again and again and not be tired of it.

However, I must say the soundtrack and songs were sadly misplaced/bad in my opinion. The worse part of the movie is when the characters created music together, and when our main lead begins to sing. Ever heard someone dragging an overly dry piece of chalk on a unused chalkboard? Well that is the sensation I got when the music numbers came up. Everything else was great. I would however recommend you watch it with the volume to a 50 or less if you have roommates, family members, or people you live with; just a tip. But if you are a freak like me 100 volume during those scenes is all we know baby!
