I don't usually write reviews on dramas - I just read the ones other people have written about them before or after watching a drama. However, it's a little different with this drama because some people didn't hit the other important aspects of it yet...
With a majority of dramas, you can classify them into romance, comedy, mystery, crime, or a drama drama, those tearjerkers. With Rooftop Prince, it's really hard to classify what type it is (besides romance, obviously) because there are so many genres attached to it. At first it's comedic and you're laughing your butt off at everything that happens, then it slowly progresses into a cute romance that will make you laugh and cry, then it progresses again into a different style - crime solving. It ends well (as there are many endings that can completely ruin a drama) and the writers did a good job wrapping it up. It sticks with the reality of the drama but ends it so that it is neither heartbreaking nor happily ever after.
Overall this drama keeps you going. You're not sure if the next episode is going to be hilarious or tear-jerking and you're not sure what to expect. The story plot was fairly original, making time travelling their own thing, and the cast did pretty well. The music wasn't too memorable but it adds to the piece and makes it whole.
Definitely one of the better dramas this year and well worth a rewatch sometime in the future. If you're considering a drama that adds in all elements, this is a good one to watch first. =D
