i like to play and draw. i have a bad memory so i use this site to log things.  i wish to be full of whimsy.

my hook line and sinker tropes
✓ depressed moms... cool FLs... ♡ + bonus: if they're vengeful
✓ "evil" morally ambiguous men who are funny about it.  + bonus: [tragic backstory here]
✓ ragtag misfits group... found family... just a group of guys through thick and thin...
✓ you know what. sure. biblical/church imageries. i like your priest. being sent to the nunnery with this one
✓ the bond between a traumatized lead and the child they (unofficially) adopted is unbreakable

i love dramas with a good mix of seriousness and comedy... and i love thrillers and detective dramas! i don't really care for romance unless i'm watching a romcom out of my own will ?

sorry for the bls. or not. i'm a gay man. they're not that good most of the time but i'm here for a long time i guess. they need to make me care about the characters first before i can get invested in a romance.

ratings if you even care:
i rate things based on my general impressions of the (individual) genres themselves (e.g. i have a different criteria for thrillers VS tokusatsu VS romcoms.) it's mostly just vibes though and based on how objectively good it was, occasionally influenced by how much i actually enjoyed it. i don't rate things until i've finished them. cinematography is important to me and if the camerawork and editing is kino enough then anything can happen to boost those ratings. pacing and buildup is also important to me. i can forgive most unsatisfactory endings if everything else was OK (happens with thrillers all the time.)

there is some stuff in here i cannot recommend wholeheartedly/say was Great (kamen rider decade) but i'm delusional about it (kamen rider decade)
