I can’t believe GMMTV can make BLs like this.Oh my goodness, this series is absolutely phenomenal! The way it fearlessly critiques the Thai government, especially with recent events in the Thai elections, is just awe-inspiring and deeply poignant!
The story of Black and White, these twins with such a powerful connection, is so captivating. Their separation after their parents' divorce, with White moving to Russia and Black staying in Thailand, adds such a heart-wrenching element. And when White returns after fifteen years and discovers Black's condition, I couldn't help but be on the edge of my seat!
The suspense of White disguising himself as Black to uncover the traitor among his friends Sean, Gram, or Yok is so intense! The dynamics between them are just so enthralling, especially when Sean starts to suspect that something isn't right.
Oh, and let's not forget Black's journey as a protester and his struggles with Todd. That breathtaking fighting scene at the pool, the same one as in KinnPorche, brings an extra touch of excitement! This hotel location has been used in many BLs since. I can't help but fantasize about a Black and Todd spin-off, but alas, it might remain a mere dream due to the OffGun shippers and GMMTV.
And Gawin's portrayal of Dan, the disillusioned cop turned graffiti artist, is nothing short of extraordinary! His slow-burn relationship with Yok, a passionate protester and devoted fan of Dan's art, is a symphony of emotions. Gawin's performance had me completely hooked and left me yearning for more of him. First come on my radar only to disappear with his pairing with Khaotung.
All the characters in this series have their own compelling reasons for becoming protesters against the government and influential figures. It's incredibly moving to see their determination and resilience in the face of adversity.
The message about gay marriage and LGBTQIA+ rights is so relevant and crucial, even if there might have been some censorship due to the Thai government. This series courageously speaks up and advocates for important issues!
Overall, I am utterly in awe of this series and all the depth and brilliance it showcases. It's a must-watch for anyone who craves powerful storytelling and meaningful themes. Bravo to the entire team behind this outstanding production!

Wow. Just... wow.
I don't tend to give 10s out easily but I couldn't, in good conscience, give this show anything less. It was one of the best BLs I've seen to date and I'm so glad I came across it.At first, the serious tone of the show had me putting it off for a while, thinking I needed to be prepared emotionally before getting into it. However, even though it was a more serious and mature plot, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
The story was intriguing and kept a steady pace of being interesting and exciting all the way through. I was afraid that it might get confusing when there are twins and hidden identities but it was super easy to follow and Gun did a phenomenal job at portraying the personality differences between Black and White; even when White is pretending to be Black.
In fact, the acting from the entire cast was great and I can't imagine anyone doing a better job in any role. There was a range of characters who were both good and bad in their own ways. It's nice to see a very human response from these shows where we are reminded that no one is perfect and, while we may have similar goals in mind, different people will act differently to achieve those goals.
As far as the music goes, I never really pay attention to soundtracks since it's always the same 2 songs throughout the series. This show, however, had an awesome and diverse soundtrack.. so much so that it was probably the first time I ever took notice of the music in a BL.
With a show like this where there are hidden identities and plot twists, it could either have a high rewatch value where the viewer wants to go back and see if they catch the foreshadowing or a very low rewatch value where the viewer is left feeling unsatisfied after investing all that time just to find out a cop-out ending.
Personally, I'm more the former in this situation because I feel like any and all revelations and occurrences were believable and only made the story better. That's a really hard thing to do when dealing with issues where there are so many opinions; not just among viewers but within the show itself and it's characters. Even if you don't agree with a characters method, you can still understand them and their motives. They even address that within the show by asking if the gang are vigilantes or heroes and it walks a fine line throughout. Some people might be put off by all the political talk but it is thought provoking and important, IMO.

I LOVE THIS SERIE AND ESPECIALLY I LOVE GUN. the series is done well, you can see that there was hard work behind it. The actors are great, especially Gun! I hope a lot more people can see this series because it deserves a lot, it deserves to be watched by a lot more people, congratulations to the actors, the director and the production! thank you so much for creating this series, I watch it every day. Watched this when it came out and I still think about it & rewatch all the time!Everything is perfection, the suspense, the unique plot— especially the way it deals with social justice, the acting, EVERYTHING.
I love it so much that I’ve watched it more than I can remember. Offgun have incredible chemistry and are such good, talented actors who make it look so effortless and real. I liked the second couples as well and everyone’s acting/ chemistry was so good— don’t think people hype up the WHOLE ENTIRE CAST as much as they should :)
This review doesn’t have much structure ? Just overall this drama is the best out there and you should definitely watch it. It will always be the standard for me!

Pomete muito e cumpre tudo e mais um pouco. A atuação do Gun é sinplesmente de tirar o folego, conhece perceber como ele muda ao atuar o Black e o White, digo o mesmo para a atuação Off, dá para sentir tudo que Sean sente. Diferente de muitos bls a trilha sonora é diversificada cada música combina perfeitamente com os momentos. . .Simplismente perfeito, poderia assistir Not me sem parar que não cansaria nem enjosria, cada detalhe contribui para a história como Sean parece impenetravel, frio porém é carinhoso "geudento" com White tendo sua linguagem de amor sendo o toque gísico.

Um plot bem diferente dos BLs thai. Eu amo gay criminoso, e mais ainda gay revolucionário. Acho que esse é um dos BLs que é mais fácil de recomendar, porque agrada todo tipo de público. Uma das melhores performances do Gun, que trabalhou muito bem pra fazer pessoas tão diferentes como são os gêmeos. Ele é um talento imbatível da tailândia, o cara manda muito bem. Não tem nem como confundir um gêmeo do outro, e ele não deixa falhas na atuação e não deixa que você saia da imersão de que não é o Gun e sim o White e o Black.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

This series blew my mind in so many aspects!1. The story: It is so unique and full of depth. It's not only a love story but a story about friendship, social injustice and how different people have to work together for the same goal. And how such a goal like to change a rotten system can even be achieved.
2. Representation: This series finally shows you well-rounded characters, even if they're only side characters. The women of this show are not your typical hysterical girl that only exists to cause drama. No, they have their own minds and goals, which they communicate as well. We don't have your typical gay men either, and we have a trans character who is not used for comedic relief but triggers some important conversations in the group.
3. The music: For a BL this has a unique soundtrack which I loved. Every song fit the scene perfectly by underlining its atmosphere and there were a lot of them, not just one or two that get repeated over and over but a huge variety.
4. Cinematography: This series is an eye-candy. So many beautiful and also interesting shots. Sometimes you really feel like you're being pulled into the screen by how the director used the camera.
5. Acting: The cast chosen has done an incredible job. I have never seen Off and Gun representing such deep characters, and you can really see how much they have grown as characters. It was also my second time to see First in a series, and I was again blown away by his acting skills. Such a delightful watch!
Overall, you can really feel that the director is part of the LGBTQ+ community and has an eye for what's going on right now and what maybe is not talked enough about in mainstream media, which is why it is great to have this piece of art. I highly recommend you to watch this show if you want to understand Thailand's society better, to maybe get some new perspectives on some issues and to see a beautiful love story.

Different
This Drama is different from anything I have seen before and that's a good thing.I liked the characters and thought it was great that they weren't just tools for the main characters, they have their own good story, highly connected to the one or other character + the story.
Now the story I thought was very good but there were some plotholes I noticed in the end and generally, you could slowly see the tropes from other drama, so I have to say that I liked the first half of the show much more but that's doesn't mean that the rest was bad, no no, it was still amazing.
Let's also not forget the importance of this Drama related to todays political debate and human rights.

NOT ME, NOT YOU, ROL
AMAZING DRAMA YOU WON'T REGRET.My first mention is definitely going to be Gun's incredible acting on this one. To play not one character but two in one drama and showing off completely different sides really immersed me.
White, the innocent and emotive and Black, the dangerous and utterly unforgiving. I don't think I can pick a favourite from both of the characters he played as they were both just breathtaking.
OffGun being the perfect acting duo the world needed.
Left on a fairly open ended note, would love a possible spin-off in future to explore Black and Todd's relationship. I think something more was hinted at there. But, it's not necessary for a second series, I'm left feeling quite happy with how things turned out.

Action drama with amazing romance
There was no episode that would bore me, actually almost every episode gave me goosebumps. I liked the contrast between Black and White and how well Gun the contrast showed us. White, the cinnamon roll everyone likes. Black, the antagonist we try to understand. My most favorite scene is at the end of episode 8. I won't spoil but the romantic scene was one of the best I've ever seen. It was not cringe, not out of place. It was completely natural like even the actors were in love with each other. They are so good to fool my eyes. But the plot of this story was very well made. At first I was just confused as White but we were slowly understanding the situation with him and were cheering him up. I'm sure I'll rewatch this show minimally once and it's sad it's so underrated.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Another great LGBTQ+ series
This series was another series that kept me watching every single week, I always have to cleared everything to make me free and come watch this series. Honeslty I'm not really a huge fan of OffGun but the story lines kept me keep watching all 14 weeks. I was very confused at first that how can this series continues to keep me in watching it but I got the answer that everything is just great. The story shows the changes that they could make like on politics, LGBTQ rights, etc. The casts were all great they show the hard work they could act naturally and show us the feeling inside. The music was quite in a good mood with the story lines. Last is on the rewatch value, I rewatch this series several times after watching till the end. The story lines keep me able to watch it again without getting bored. I came back to write this review because this series became the best LGBTQ+ series that were able to make some changes in our real world. Not your typical romance
Starting this series, I wasn't expecting to call it my number one after finishing but god, does it deserve this place. Seeing Off and Gun again as main roles made my expectations high from the start, since Theory of Love proved how good their chemistry is but i dare to say that here it was even better.Not Me story is not your typical thai bl and you have to watch it being aware of it from the start. The tone is much more serious, topics sometimes heavier and there's not as much humor (no funny sounds which you might know from some titles lol). The story doesn't rely on the romance as much, at least not in the first five-ish episodes. Of course, there are some close proximity moments but you can tell that the plot is more important.
What i loved the most about this series was its pace. Usually, shows like that rely on certain checkpoints which keep the viewer engaged, but also can leave us feeling empty after said checkpoint is complete. Here, before getting to one awaited moment, let's say, first kiss, a thing usually awaited in romance series, there is another goal already in the viewer's mind which doesn't let you have a second of boredom or a filler moment. Every scene feels needed and it leads to something (maybe except for some advertisement moments but hey, they have to make money somehow and even this didn't bother me that much).
To sum everything up, I believe Not Me is a must watch for anyone looking for a good, engaging story and I'll surely come back to it.
