SMYM is a novel by Doctor Sammon whoâs a famous author, the novel tackles a lot of serious issues with a mix of romance. Euthanasia itself is illegal in a lot of countries but only few countries have made it legal.
If youâre expecting full blown romance,where the MLâs are eating each other every episode,then this isnât for you.
Doc Kan does something,with the patients consent & for their own good but his boyfriend Captain Wasan sees it differently.
This drama is filled with suspense,thriller & romance. Youâll keep racking your brains about who dunnit

I need more of JJ & Tor!
The acting is SOOOO good, especially Tor! I love how everything is wrapped up in 8 episodes= clean and sweet cut.Each episode keeps you wanting for more, and boy- when that kiss finally arrived- im like YESS!
It tackles the topic of euthanasia in a really diverse way- including explaining the legal side, moral side, and even talking about consent, etc. It's amazing to see BL starting to touch on deeper topics beyond just 2 men kissing each other (although i love watching that lol)
I especially love the ending as to how Wansa held Doctor's hand and then dropped the Hydrangea which represents "forgiveness"- just WOW! Got me crying so badly- it's just so beautiful
Side note, Tor looked so much like Namkoong Min somehow, especially the eyes expression. I think it's probably the similarity in character they have played before than the actual actor looking alike
Anyway, this BL is just so FKING GOOOOOODDDD- I'd totally up for more collab from this duo again!

Amazing!
Watching this series made me cry and be happy at the same time.The chemistry of the male leads is very good.
The ending was so good and very good acting.
I would like to see them in another bl series if it's possible.

Dans une histoire dynamique et tendue pour un final d'exception, c'est un drame puissant qui chamboule la morale et la pensĂ©e.L'euthanasie est un sujet dĂ©licat, mais important. En ce point, la sĂ©rie soulĂšve de nombreuses questions. Euthanasier et commettre un meurtre sont deux actes diffĂ©rents, mais la finalitĂ© est la mĂȘme, non ? Et si les conditions s'y prĂȘtent ? Et si, au contraire, d'autres y voient un moyen d'assouvir des pulsions ? Pour autant, comment pouvons-nous laisser des personnes souffrir de la sorte ? La narration est restĂ©e neutre, et c'est ce qui fait de Spare Me Your Mercy un drama aussi spectaculaire. Il n'y a aucune forme moralisatrice ou culpabilisatrice. Chacun est libre d'ĂȘtre pour, contre ou indĂ©cis sur le question. L'enquĂȘte est plus pour la forme, bien qu'elle alimente le fond. Tout au long des Ă©pisodes, les pensĂ©es, les actes et les Ă©changes entre personnes s'opposent. La psychologie est plus Ă©levĂ©e que je ne l'avais imaginĂ©, ce qui fait monter les tensions. La romance est discrĂšte, si bien que, pour moi, Spare Me Your Mercy est avant tout un thriller. Or, elle n'est pas dĂ©rangeante, au contraire, je l'ai apprĂ©ciĂ©.
L'histoire atteint son apogée lors de la confrontation entre Kan (Tor) et Thiu (JJ). Les deux acteurs ont fait un super travail sur leur personnage. Cela dit, Tor a été le plus impressionnant. DerriÚre son apparence de médecin chic, il y avait des émotions si brutes et franches. Cette confrontation a offert le meilleur de son personnage. JJ avait de bonnes scÚnes, et le final lui a aussi rendu justice sans trop de jeu de sourcils.
Aelm (Boss) était également un personnage intéressant, tout comme Gandhi (Somsak) qui était l'un des plus fermement opposé à la pratique. Il y avait de bonnes confrontations qui alimentaient sans cesse la machine de savoir si c'était bien ou mal.
Le final est exceptionnel. Cela s'est terminé exactement comme ça le devait, ce qui en fait la meilleure fin. Aussi triste qu'elle soit, l'histoire ne pouvait se terminer autrement.
En bref, Spare Me Your Mercy est un drame aux thĂ©matiques lourdes, mais oĂč la narration neutre lui rend honneur et parvient Ă rendre l'ensemble fascinant. Avec sa touche romantique au cĆur de ce thriller, les personnages sont malmenĂ©s sans jamais manquer de respect Ă la pensĂ©e de chacun.

I LOVED IT
I loved how euthanasia was looked at from different POV. Doctorâs POV as more of a morality issue. Bossâ as the wrong way to perform it. And Thuiâs legal POV. Both Kan and Boss had good intentions but Boss had no right to do it, literally killing people, on the other hand Kan respected wishes of the patients, which would make it legal somewhere else. Thiu holds the opposing views to theirs, he looks at it from his professional POV, which makes euthanasia illegal and unacceptable for him. I think it gives us all a side to be on (well maybe not Bossâs side, I think, heâs just an example of how it shouldnât be done) and for many it opens a conversation regarding euthanasia since itâs illegal in most countries. I really didnât want it to end like that but I think it makes sense that Thiu arrested Kan, I donât think he could live with himself, knowing that Kan continues euthanasing people, in his eyes and according to law it is murder and from how I understand the character, he thinks itâs his duty to act according to law (and I mean it is his job). Killing me softlyyyyyy
As a series that tackles the highly controversial topic of euthanasia in Thailand, this show is expectedly quite intense.The show has received some criticisms for romanticising Dr. Kanâs actions and his controversial stance on patient care. The series highlights ethical questions on what constitutes murder and whether life is worth protecting at all costs.
Plotwise, the many twists in Spare Me Your Mercy make for an engaging and compulsive watch. But I want to talk about the unexpectedly spectacular chemistry between Thanapob and Jayler. Despite the captainâs suspicions of the doctor, the doctorâs thoughtful and charming ways gradually chip away at Tiwâs walls, giving way to a sweet and ambiguous relationship thatâs neither friends nor lovers.
Spare Me Your Mercy wants you to root for Dr. Kan and Tiw, but also makes it incredibly uncomfortable for you to support a relationship based on lies. Overall, this was a great storyline that hits you with both butterflies and feels. Great show.

The Main point of the Story !
I love every detail about this series especially the law doctor wants to point out. Law doesn't have heart and I get what he meant. If someone asks me do I agree with doc say before I watch this Series, I might not sure but after this series, I was super sure I agree with him. This series literally tells me something that I haven't think of. It was a whole new message and I love that. For the acting, I don't think I even need to say. The Main leads and every support roles really nailed their roles. About the romance, the director knows what he's doing tbh. The little glance makes me blush which is crazy cause I have been watching bl series which contain NC scene tho. So this is work of art I will say. And ofc not everything will happens like we all want. I have one word for ending scene , that is a masterpiece. I don't wanna spoil but the ending scene was really detail and makes you feel something for a week. After all, I really recommend everyone to watch this. More of Thriller with Little bit of Romance
I thoroughly enjoyed this series. One of the best thriller genre BL in recent times. Though the team have given very little romantic moments for couple, you still feel the butterflies in your stomach in those scenes.The only reason i reduced 1 point was for not having more episodes. Its sin to end such great show in 8 episodes. Otherwise its a perfect show with right dosage of everything. Hope they give us special episode or something in the coming days.

tor... you are an acTOR alright
overall, that was a satisfying story and has an ending that makes sense. for a show that highlights euthanasia, i like that they presented different people's views and perspectives on it and just let the audience know what they feel about it. it did not feel preachy at all. this is my first time watching tor who played dr. kan and i gotta say, that man can act oh my gosh. he was able to portray this compassionate doctor but in a blink of an eye, could turn into someone so sinister. his performance in the last episode was one of the best ones i've seen from thai media (not that i've seen a lot, i don't think) and even made me tear up. his chemistry with jj was great. with romance as a supporting narrative only here, their chemistry is still palpable. i wish it was developed more but i guess, they did the best they can with only 8 eps. there were times where the investigation and police scenes made me roll my eyes but hey, that's not really something new in fiction stories like this and it's not a crime series so it's fine. as a psychological thriller, i think this one did it successfully.(it does make think.... do i really want to have the option of euthanasia for myself too or that's that me be being depresso idk... no really, i want it lol)
