2PM's Ok Taecyeon in talks to work alongside actress Jung So Min.
On March 19, Taecyeon's agency 51K Entertainment confirmed the reports that their artist received an offer to be part of the upcoming drama "Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi." The agency also shared that it is one of the several projects the idol-actor is currently reviewing. Nothing has been decided yet.
"Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi" was first offered to Cho Byeong Kyu but due to his recent controversy, his casting is unclear. Jung So Min on the other hand, was offered the role of the female lead role.
The upcoming drama will showcase the journey of secret royal inspectors whose job is to expose corruption while they work undercover. "Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi" will be directed by Yoo Jong Sun and the script will be written by Lee Jae Yoon.
Ok Taecyeon stars in the currently airing tvN drama "Vincenzo" with Song Joong Ki and Jeon Yeo Bin. He has been active in both the idol and drama industry ever since his debut. He starred in several dramas such as "The Game: Towards Zero," "Save Me," "Bring It On, Ghost," "Who Are You," "Dream High," "Cinderella's Sister," and many more. Ok Taecyeon is also set to appear in the upcoming film "Hansan" along with Park Hae Il, Byun Yo Han, and Ahn Sung Ki.
He debuted in the K-pop group 2PM in 2008. After five years, they are slated to have a full group comeback this year after member Junho is discharged from the military.
"Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi" is expected to premiere in the second half of the year.
