Netflix revealed that the South Korean series "Sweet Home" has been viewed by more than 22 million paid subscribers worldwide in the first four weeks of its release! 

"Sweet Home" was on par on views with other Netflix Originals that was released at the same time such as "Alice In Borderland/Imawa no Kuni no Alice" with 18 million, "Selena: The Series" with 25 million, and "Just Another Christmas" with 26 million subscribers. The Korean series premiered on Netflix on December 18, 2020.

The director of Sweet Home,  Lee Eung Bok  shared, "I am happy that the unique plot of the series has been loved by millions of viewers around the world. [I am] grateful for all the hard work of everyone involved. From Studio Dragon, producers, and actors who gave their all in creating the K-Monster based genre in Netflix". He also shared that he will do his best to create more meaningful shows in the future.

Kim Min Young, the general manager of Netflix for Korean, South East Asian, Australian and New Zealand contents revealed that she is very happy to unveil the news that the series "Sweet Home" made by Korean creators was enjoyed by 22 million Netflix paid subscribers. She also stated that Netflix will continue its journey in discovering and introducing more fun content with local creators.

Netflix said to have invested 770 billion South Korean won (approximately 700 million US dollars) in Korean content since 2015. As they announced their fourth quarter earnings in 2020, they also revealed that APAC (Asia-Pacific) is the second largest region to have contributed to Netflix's growth. APAC has 25.49 million paid subscribers (an increase of 57.1% in a year).

"Sweet Home" is based on the Korean webtoon with the same name written by Kim Kan Bi and Hwang Young Chan.
