Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today we're going to talk about JTCB's hottest airing show: MISTY. This drama is a Crime Suspense centering around a headstrong anchorwoman who becomes the suspect in a murder case. Her estranged husband who's a lawyer decides to defend her and hence starts their journey to fall back in love.

If you've read the synopsis of the show, you're already aware of all this but what the synopsis doesn't tell you is why you should give this drama a shot. So here I am, at your service armed with all of my self-created gifs to pique your curiosity.

Let's get right into the reasons why this is the drama y'all should be watching right now:

1) Strong Female Lead

If you love badass women of power then yes, this show is definitely for you. Go Hye Ran (Kim Nam Joo) is a cutthroat anchorwoman who lets nothing stand in her way. She's a morally ambiguous character who lies, schemes, and cheats but is excellent at her craft and never one to back down without a fight. You just don't mess with Go Hye Ran or you'll get payback like nobody's business. She's unapologetic and makes no excuses for who she is - a blunt and fierce shark of a woman. However, despite her ruthlessness, there are times when she's vulnerable and her shoulders stoop. But even then, her crown never falls. 

Personally, she's one of my favorite drama heroines. Every scene with her makes me feel empowered and shout her praises. With her wit and classy fashion, she makes her enemies bow down in front of her like the queen she is.

2) Atmosphere

Misty is a tension-filled drama at its finest. It keeps you hooked from the very start and on the edge till the ending credits roll by. Every episode is fast-paced and filled with twists.

In the beginning, the show deals with the "who-dunnit" aspect of the crime. Everybody is a suspect and nobody is to be trusted. The motivations of all the characters are unclear. But the thing that keeps you guessing the most is how our female lead is going to deal with the problems thrown at her and how she is going to clap back at her enemies. Go Hye Ran's power walk into and out of hot waters alone is enough to thrill you down to your core and create a deadly atmosphere.

3) Romance

What makes a crime/thriller drama absolutely perfect? Romance. The love story here is all sorts of complicated. From the get-go, you can see that both our main leads are trapped in a loveless marriage. There's too much bad history, lies, deceit, and bitter misunderstandings between them. But what do you do when somebody comes at your family? You back them up of course and so our hero decides to put his grievances on the back-burner and stand tall beside his wife.

Will they be able to gain back the companionship they once had? Will they fall in love for real? Watch to find out.

4) Sismance

We never know what's going to happen in the future but as of right now, our heroine's friendship with the quirky and always slightly amused reporter is absolutely delightful. Whenever Hye Ran needs somebody to help her out and have her back, Yoon Song Yi is there with advice, dirt on people, the hottest gossip, and emergency updates. I simply adore their moments together.

5) Steamy Makeouts

A lot of us K-Drama fans are kind of sick and tired of dead fish smooches and closed mouth kisses. But worry no more 'cause Misty makes all of your fantasies come true! Even though I edited these gifs to keep this article PG, the show, in reality, is much hotter so keep fans and cool water bottles nearby folks 'cause trust me, you're going to need them. 

What's even greater is that all these steamy scenes are relevant to the plot and not just mindless fanservice which is what makes them all the more entertaining to watch.

6) Eyecandy

Come on, let's be completely honest here, we are all a little superficial inside and ain't nothing making us drama watchers more happy than gorgeously sculpted bodies. So my ladies and my gents (if you swing that way) it's time to appreciate God's beautiful creations with Misty. ;)

7) OST

And finally, we have our brilliant OST to set the mood. While the beautiful and edgy instrumental and violin also maximizes the impact of the show, this song plays at all the right times to make us really feel the moment. It's nostalgic, sweet, thrilling, and melancholic all at once.
