EXO's Xiumin, Monsta X's Hyung Won, and Lee Shin Young will be the main leads of the upcoming drama by director Lee Yoo Yeon.
On September 14th, it was reported that Xiumin, Hyung Won, and Lee Shin Young have been picked to star in the upcoming drama "CEOdol Mart" (literal translation).
XIumin's agency SM Entertainment already confirmed his casting.
"CEOdol Mart" will be about a former idol group that gathered once again to run a mart. The series will be the latest work of director Lee Yoo Yeon who is known for helming the dramas "Best Mistake" and "Light on Me."
There are no other details revealed yet about the characters that Xiumin, Hyung Won, and Lee Shin Young will portray.
The broadcast date, channel, and other production details are still undecided.
This will be the comeback drama of Xiumin. The EXO member last starred in the 2015 series "Falling for Do Jeon." Aside from the casting news, Xiumin is also set to release his first solo album "Brand New" this month. The idol-actor got discharged from the military in 2020 and since then, he has been active in EXO activities.
Meanwhile, this will be the follow-up project of Hyung Won after the 2021 web drama "Fly, Again." Aside from Monsta X activities, Hyung Won's appearance on the web program "My Alcohol Diary" became a buzz. He also recently participated in Monsta X's Seoul concert "MONSTA X [NO LIMIT] TOUR in SEOUL."
Lee Shin Young on the other hand last starred in the 2022 drama "Rookie Cops." He will also join the upcoming film "Rebound" with Ahn Jae Hong, Kim Do Wan, Jung Gun Joo, Kim Tae, and 2AM's Jung Jin Woon.
