Jeon Jong Seo will be the Queen in the upcoming historical K-drama The Queen 'Woo.'
It was officially confirmed on April 18 that Jeon Jong Seo will be starring in her first-ever historical K-drama. She will be the main lead in the upcoming TVING original series The Queen 'Woo.'
The Queen 'Woo' will tell the story of Lady Woo, the first person in history to become a queen twice. She will search for a new King within 24 hours after the previous King died. The K-drama is set in the Goryeo era.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Jung Se Gyo (Oh! My Gran) and writer Lee Byung Hak (The Royal Tailor).
Jeon Jong Seo will play the role of Lady Woo. After her first King dies, she will marry one of the brothers of the King so that she can remain in her position as a queen and can still protect her family and tribe.
The Queen 'Woo' will premiere in 2024 and it will exclusively be available on TVING.
Since her debut, Jeon Jong Seo hasn't worked in any historical K-dramas. She is known for being part of different genres in films and series.
Before she leads the upcoming K-drama The Queen 'Woo' she will first star in the romantic comedy series Wedding Impossible with Moon Sang Min, Kim Do Wan, and Bae Yoon Kyung. She will also possibly return to the second season of Bargain.
The actress will also lead the upcoming new film Ballerina with Kim Ji Hoon and Park Yoo Rim.
Jeon Jong Seo made her acting debut in 2018. Since then, the actress has starred in several popular works such as Burning, The Call, Nothing Serious, Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area - Part 1, and more.
