"Good Partner" actor Ji Seung Hyun to make a special appearance in "The Fiery Priest 2"
The pairing of Ju Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi in a K-drama is confirmed to happen this year.
On August 19, it was officially confirmed that Ju Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi will lead the upcoming tvN K-drama Love on a Single Log Bridge. It was also confirmed that the romance series will premiere in the second half of 2024.
Love on a Single Log Bridge will tell the romance between a man and woman who will reunite after 18 years. They were born on the same day with the same name and their families have been enemies for generations. 18 years later, the two will reunite as colleagues in Dokmok High School.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Park Joon Hwa (Alchemy of Souls, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, and Because This Is My First Life) and writer Im Ye Jin (The Tale of Nokdu, Love in the Moonlight, and Who Are You: School 2015).
According to reports, the romance K-drama will have a total of 12 episodes and will be part of tvN's Saturday and Sunday K-drama timeslot.
This will be the first romance K-drama of Ju Ji Hoon after almost two decades. In the K-drama, the actor will portray the role of Seok Ji Won, the executive director of a construction company named Seokban Construction and the new chairman of Dokmok High School. He is known for being good at studying. He left his hometown and school back then because of their family circumstances. After 18 years, he returned to his hometown as the chairman of the school.
Meanwhile, this will be the grand comeback of Jung Yu Mi to the K-drama scene after four years. In the series, the actress will portray the role of Yoon Ji Won. When she was a student, she was known as "Dokmok High School Crazy Dog" because of her personality. She can't stand injustice and she always wants to fix it. The crazy dog in her subsides after becoming an adult. When she reunited with Seok Ji Won at school, her crazy dog personality appeared again.
