K-Drama "Numbers" Holds Production Presentation

On the morning of the 23rd, the production presentation for the new Friday-Saturday drama Numbers took place at MBC in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Director Kim Chil-bong and actors Kim Myung Soo, Choi Jin Hyuk, Choi Min Soo, Yeonwoo, and Kim Yoo Ri attended the event.

Regarding the reason for choosing an accounting firm as the subject of the drama, the director explained, "When it comes to stories about accounting firms, people tend to associate them with numbers and sitting at desks, but it's not like that." He further stated, "This drama has three main parts to the accountants' story. Among them, the deal department is the main focus."

Furthermore, he introduced the drama by stating, "Rather than focusing on well-known aspects, we wanted to explore the unknown aspects in the deal department, which we believed would be dynamic and interesting. It would be better to consider it a story about the deal department rather than the accountants."

Choi Min Soo mentioned the drama with just five letters, saying, "It's intriguing." He raised curiosity among the audience.

Choi Jin Hyuk added, "I feel happy to work on a unique drama like 'Numbers' with such great senior and junior actors. It's a drama that can't be easily explained. I hope people will watch it and spread the word."

Kim Myung Soo, who chose Numbers as his first project after completing his military service, said, "While reading various scripts, I thought this was the first time accounting professionals were portrayed accurately. The merit was significant, which led me to choose this project."

He continued, expressing confidence, "It will be interesting. Initially, I wasn't sure what accountants do, but we visited Yeouido, conducted research, and had Q&A sessions. We discussed and observed the actual working environment. I also made an effort to understand accounting terms easily."

Lastly, Kim Myung Soo greeted the audience by saying, "I worked hard on this project as my first work after military service. I hope you look forward to it and give it lots of love."

Both Kim Myung Soo and Yeonwoo showed confidence in their chemistry. Yeonwoo said, "Although I was nervous on set, I felt comfortable thanks to him, and I could act peacefully. He's truly a great senior."

Meanwhile, Numbers is a human office drama centered around Jang Ho-woo, an accounting professional who confronts the corruption of a massive accounting firm, striving to achieve his own definition of justice.
