Actress Lee Bong Ryun is confirmed to join the upcoming JTBC K-drama Destined With You.
On July 12th, Lee Bong Ryun's agency shared that the actress will be joining the upcoming Wednesday and Thursday K-drama Destined With You.
This will be the second K-drama of Lee Bong Ryun for 2023. Early this year, she became a scene stealer in the hit K-drama Crash Course in Romance. She worked alongside Jeon Do Yeon, Jung Kyung Ho, Oh Eui Shik, Shin Jae Ha, and Roh Yoon Seo.
Lee Bong Ryun made her acting debut in 2011. She is known for starring in the hit K-dramas Narco-Saints, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Sweet Home, Reply 1994, and more.
In 2021, Lee Bong Ryun joined hands with Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha co-star Shin Min Ah and signed under AM Entertainment as her new agency.
Destined With You will revolve around a woman who found a forbidden book that was sealed 300 years ago and a man who will face the consequences of discovering the book.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Nam Ki Hoon (Kiss Sixth Sense and Big Bet Season 2) and writer Noh Ji Sul. (100 Days My Prince and Scent of a Woman).
It will be led by Jo Bo Ah, SF9's Rowoon, Ha Joon, Girls Day's Yura, Hyun Bong Sik, and Park Kyung Hye.
In the upcoming K-drama, Lee Bong Ryun will play the role of Ma Eun Young. She is the head of the Environmental Green Division at Onju City Hall. She is known as a strong sister who does her job well in the city hall. She is also the fastest-promoted woman among her colleagues. In the series, she will be a strong supporter of Jo Bo Ah's character Lee Hong Joo.
Destined With You will officially premiere on August 23rd. It will also be available on the global OTT platform, Netflix.
