Lee Do Hyun receives casting offer for "Melancholia" with Im Soo Jung

Lee Do Hyun has received a casting offer alongside Im Soo Jung on the new drama "Melancholia". 

A representative of the upcoming drama shared on April 5th that Lee Do Hyun will work alongside Im Soo Jung. 

Rising actor Lee Do Hyun got the offer for the character named Baek Sung Gyu. He's a math genius and a quiet person. Im Soo Jung received the offer to play the role of a math teacher named Ji Yoon Soo, while Lee Do Hyun will play as the former student of Im Soo Jung's character. The two will be swept up in a scandal after reuniting as adults. 

"Melancholia" will narrate how a shocking scandal overturned a prestigious private high school in Gangnam. The scandal is about the sexual relationship between a teacher and a student. The drama will be produced by production company Bon Factory and the script will be written by Kim Ji Woon.

Both Lee Do Hyun and Im Soo Jung's agencies confirmed that their actors are still reviewing the casting offers for the drama "Melancholia" and nothing has been confirmed. 

Lee Do Hyun is one of the hottest actors of today. He's currently on the rise after starring in several hit dramas. He  first started gaining popularity after appearing as IU's first love in the 2019 drama "Hotel Del Luna". In 2020, he landed his first ever main role in the drama "18 Again" with Kim Ha Neul and Yoon Sang Hyun. He received many praises for his acting skills in "18 Again". He also participated in the hit Netflix original series "Sweet Home" with
Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Shi Young, and more. This year, Lee Do Hyun will have another main lead role for the drama "Youth of May" with "Sweet Home" co-star Go Min Si. If he also accepts "Melancholia", this will be his third drama to play as the main lead.
