Lee Jae Wook and Jo Bo Ah are in talks to star in a new novel-based K-drama.
On April 19, multiple media insiders reported that Lee Jae Wook and Jo Bo Ah will be the next pairing for a new K-drama. According to reports, the two actors will star in the upcoming K-drama Tangeum (tentative title).
Lee Jae Wook's agency shared their side regarding the casting reports. According to C-JES Studio, Lee Jae Wook did receive the casting offer and is currently reviewing the proposal.
Jo Bo Ah's agency KeyEast also responded to the reports. According to them, "Jo Bo Ah is positively considering leading the upcoming K-drama Tangeum."
Tangeum will base its story on the novel of the same name by Jang Da Hye.
The upcoming K-drama will be directed by Kim Hong Seon (Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area - Part 1 and Voice) and the script will be penned by Ko Yeong Jae (Dr. Brain).
If Lee Jae Wook will officially join Tangeum, this will be his third upcoming K-drama. He will also star in the upcoming series Royal Loader and Death's Game. In 2023, he first appeared in the Netflix original film Kill Bok Soon. He made a special appearance in the movie led by Jeon Do Yeon. Last year, he led the two seasons of Alchemy of Souls.
Meanwhile, this will also be the possible second upcoming K-drama of Jo Bo Ah. The actress will also lead the K-drama Destined With You with SF9's Rowoon, Ha Joon, Girls Day Yura, Hyun Bong Sik, and Park Kyung Hye.
Jo Bo Ah will also possibly make a special appearance in the upcoming second season of Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938.
