Hope everyone is healthy now. This is part two to upcoming Chinese dramas but instead of historical, these are modern dramas instead as everyone has their preferences.

It seems that the industry has been expanding in certain topics such as E-sports, Gay Relationships, etc. which I see as a positive and am excited for! 

As I stated in my last article, apologies for not finding the exact date they are unknown at the moment.

Symphony's Romance (2020) [Airing: June 17]

A talented musician, Li Zhen Yi (Steven Zheng), had the world at his feet. With invitations to study abroad, under some of the greatest musical masters of the modern world, pouring in, Zhen Yi should have had no reservations about stepping out into a wider world. But the ghosts of his past refuse to let him go. Suffering from severe childhood trauma, Zhen Yi is trapped in a world of demons from which there is no escape. At least not until he meets Fang Xiao Wo (Jelly Lin). An extraordinarily gifted pianist, Xiao Wo possesses more talent than even Zhen Yi, but her odd behavior and weird personality don’t exactly endear her to those around her. Despite her being such an oddity, Zhen Yi can’t help but be a little intrigued by Xiao Wo, especially when they share an unwavering passion for music. The two eventually begin to spend more time

together and Zhen Yi slowly starts to find the courage to continue pursuing his own dreams. With Xiao Wo by his side, the wounds from Zhen Yi’s past begin to heal, allowing him to dream like he’s never dreamed before. Finally free from the ghosts of his past, Zhen Yi and Xiao Wo step bravely into a bright new future, together.

Broker (2020)

A broker with a hidden agenda plots to steal a scientist's research, yet a mutual attraction develops between them. Qiu Jianing (Victoria Song) is a core member of a research lab spearheaded by the leading pharmaceutical company in the nation. She has devoted her heart and soul to finding answers to scientific problems not only to prove herself but also to secure her country's position in the biological field.

As their experiment enters the clinical phase, a new researcher by the name of Zhou Xiaoshan (Leo Luo) joins the team. His sharp acumen and quiet nature attract Jianing's (Victoria Song) attention. Similarly, her beauty and strength disrupt the calm in Zhou Xiaoshan's single-minded pursuits. In reality, he is a broker who has walked into their lives for the purposes of stealing Jianing's research. Will she be the one to change him?

All her hopes and dreams for the future are dashed. At this time, Gu Wei (Sean Xiao), her father's attending physician, walks into Lin Zhi Xiao's life. Love has the tendency to creep up onto you when you're not looking. Two people who have been hurt before gradually get to know each other and fall in love. They go through doubts and hit road bumps. They experience misunderstandings and trying times, but in the process of falling in love, they realize that they are made for each other.

Lucky With You (2020) Wu Yi (Claudia Wang), who used to be an excellent Taekwondo athlete, found her husband cheating on her on their 7th year wedding anniversary. She then divorced her husband. Not only did all the property go to her ex-husband, but she also lost her child's custody.   Wu Yi then plans to work in order to fight for the child's custody. She starts to work in a security company and becomes a professional female bodyguard. She is assigned to become a 24/7 bodyguard of a wealthy, cruel and handsome man named Hou Jue "Marquis" (Johnny Huang) who has many enemies and will later help to get her child back.

Falling Into Your Smile (2020) A female e-sports player, who vows to never be in a relationship with someone in the same field, catches the attention of an elite team captain after making it to his team. The student Tong Yao has stepped into the e-sports professional circle with her real strength, becoming the first formal female e-sports player in the professional league of China. Facing doubts and inconveniences, she has to overcome difficulties with persistence and the support of her teammates to finally stand on the world stage, making up for the six-year unfortunate regret of the Chinese League of Legends Team, and let the dream of e-sports bloom.

Never Say Goodbye (2020) Three years ago, police officer Liu Yuanwen (Allen Ren) sends back wrong intelligence, seemingly causing the death of his fiancée and fellow police officer Rong Yu. He also loses a friend in Rong Yao (Lin En Liu), his brother-in-law-to-be and member of the drug task force. Disheartened by all the events, Liu Yuanwen resigns from his position and cuts off all contact. In the present time, Rong Yao has been promoted to leader of the task force and is ordered to provide ongoing support and resources to the sole undercover operative in Group K, a drug cartel led by the ‘Spectre’ Mr. Ou. Turns out the undercover Mu Qing is actually Liu Yuanwen, and the pair must work together to bring the criminals to justice.

City of Desire (2020) A man dealing with anxiety and depression after a painful divorce manages to find warmth when he least expects it and it reignites his passion towards life. In order to chase after her dreams, Qiao Na (Zhu Zhu) aborts her own baby which leaves her husband Jiang Nian Hua (Wu Xui Bo) in shambles. After getting divorced, Nian Hua accumulates much wealth through sheer determination and hard work but he isn't able to enjoy the fruits of his labor as he is diagnosed with severe depression. Just when he has decided to give up on life, he encounters a young corporate woman named Lin Li (Angelababy). Not long after they meet, Lin Li deals with the fallout from a toxic relationship with her boyfriend whom she works with. She becomes devastated at the realization that she should no longer be with him. Both bearing emotional troubles of their own, Nian Hua and Lin Li get to know each other through work and a romance ensues.

Love Trap (2020) This drama tells the story of Ding Junjie (Luigi Zhang), the deputy general manager of a cosmetics company, and Ying Jiaming (Han Jing Cheng), the son of the cynical chairman of the board. Though the two originally have a tit-for-tat, cat and mouse relationship, they gradually come to know and understand one another.

Love is Always Online (2020) CEO Jiang Anzhen (Dylan Xiong) has been looking for Yao Yuan (Elvira Cai) who saved him during his university days. After learning that Yao Yuan played the 'ShengShi" game, he took the opportunity to save Yao Yuan’s life in the game, and he announced that he would marry Yao Yuan. Then the two met through the party and began a passionate pursuit, in reality, finally determining the relationship between the couple.
