1. Let's Go Karaoke!
Japanese Movie - 2024
Start Date: January 3 Completed: January 3
I entered this story with little to no expectations, but I was genuinely moved by the profound and heartfelt friendship that blossomed between a young boy and an older man. Their connection was depicted with such beauty that it struck a chord within me. The time they shared together had me laughing uncontrollably , perfectly illustrating the intricacies of human connection. The climax was especially impactful; that nearly shattered me for moment. Yet, I was ultimately rewarded with a touching resolution that tied their journey together in a deeply satisfying manner.
Replay Value: 10/10.

The editing in this show was exceptional. I was particularly moved by the final scene where all the contestants expressed what being a chef truly meant to them. This season was filled with an incredible amount of passion. It was clear that each contestant held deep respect for the food they created. It was a joy to watch, and I eagerly anticipate the next season. Edward Lee was my favorite chef.

The only reason I didn't ditch this drama is that Fang Yu Ze is just too ridiculously good-looking; it's almost criminal how attractive he is. On the flip side, Dong Ting Yao is your standard female lead who can't seem to use her brain properly. She constantly makes poor choices, and honestly, it's infuriating.
I can't wrap my head around how she talks about seeking revenge while blindly trusting people who are clearly up to no good. Dong Ting Yao has this irritating habit of jumping to conclusions without bothering to gather and think through the evidence first. This not only clouds her judgment but also lands her in precarious situations that could have been easily avoided.
Then there's our dashing and overly protective Governor, who risks his life over and over to save her. Despite all his efforts and the dangers he faces for her, she still doubts him and won't give him her trust. It's just ridiculous—seriously, can she not see how committed he is? If she doesn't want him, I’ll happily take him off her hands!

Honestly, I think this drama totally outshines "Anti-Reset." Let’s be real, Heng Si is leagues ahead of Heng Jiu. Sure, they’re both AI, but Heng Jiu is just too stiff and robotic for my taste; he barely shows any human emotion and comes off as annoyingly naive. Plus, his mannerisms? Yawn.
Now, Heng Si? He’s got that irresistible vibe. Maybe it’s my weakness for dashing, sassy butlers in glasses, but he’s got a charm and personality that really pulls me in. I can actually vibe with him on a whole different level.

Motoharu elicits little to no sympathy from me. His recent realization that he has completely erased his children's existence feels too little, too late. Throughout the entirety of episode one and the first half of episode two, he has demonstrated persistent selfishness and a disregard for others, which makes it hard for me to care about his guilt or sorrow.
Even if his wife failed to articulate her needs, it does not excuse his behavior. At this juncture, I struggle to see him as a compassionate husband. His choice to revisit the past and pursue a romantic relationship with another woman, while still bound to his wife in another timeline, raises serious concerns.
There seems to be a lack of true remorse; instead, he appears preoccupied with his desires, indifferent to the consequences for those around him. I feel no regret for my inability to sympathize with him.
