Cute & simple

This was a good, lighthearted drama (for the most part) with a happy ending. The darker moments didn’t really dampen the vibe of the show either even though they would be pretty sad irl. With that being said, all the “plot twists” were pretty predictable; I had it figured out from the first couple of episodes which wasn’t a bad thing in my opinion since it was still interesting to follow along.

I enjoyed the chemistry between the main characters. Their relationship and interactions with each other seemed to flow naturally. I will say there were a few times where they would joke and laugh together but it felt really forced and it just felt off but that didn’t ruin the vibe either because they made up for it in other ways.

I will warn you though, Duk-mi was VERY cringe for the first half of the series. I know what it’s like to be a fangirl, but watching it was so funny but so so so cringe at the same time 😭 I’ve also read a few people feeling uncomfy with Eun-gi’s feelings but honestly I don’t think it was THAT horrible, yes it was weird I will admit, but I don’t feel like it was pushed onto me either. I did feel bad for him though and I’m SO GLAD he didn’t end up with Choi Da-in. I didnt like her at all and when they started being friends I got so scared they would fall for each other or something.

My rewatch value is a little low just because I’m not someone who rewatches shows a lot, so I probably won’t with this one but it was still a fun and enjoyable drama!

It was frustrating and hard to get through.

It started off pretty decent, got pretty annoying in the middle, and picked back up in the end. The drama was overall frustrating though, especially the female leads character who acted so dumb and clueless through the entire thing. She was always asking how or why and just couldn’t figure things out on her own - very helpless. In the beginning I thought she’d be different but she had no character development whatsoever which was disappointing. They could never make me hate her dad tho! Probably an unpopular opinion but reality check: comic book characters don’t normally come to life so his reaction is very justified considering the situation, although he may have been a little over the top in some things. He always loved his daughter that’s for sure, but he definitely grew in his ability to show it - he just grew overall as a character. And because of how I felt towards him, I hated the ending. I just couldn’t look past what happened to him and be happy with it even though it was technically a “happy ending” for the MCs. It made me feel like I should’ve just stopped at episode 8 when I wanted to 😭 I don’t know, it was a good show and I loved all the twists and mysteries (that’s the only thing that helped me get through since the romance wasn’t that great), but I just can’t fully recommend it without giving those warnings. Obviously that’s just my opinion (which is a very mixed opinion lol), so it just depends on your taste.
