Fans of Asian horror should definitely give this drama a watch! This is the first horror drama I have seen, though I have seen numerous Asian horror movies. The problem with most, I think, is that they have a tendency to either turn out corny, or they feel like something is missing. Some are supposed to creep you out, and just end up failing miserably. As a fan of the genre, I appreciate stories that actually succeed in scaring me, or at the very least, creep me out. Coma succeeded in both. It not only made me shiver with the creeps, it also really freaked me out, to the point that I actually expect nightmares from it. Now, a lot of you will find that a put off and that's fine, but if you're like me, you'll instead find it the mark of an extremely well made horror. Just a warning, though. Besides being scary and creepy, it's very disturbing and graphic gore wise. In the realistic sense, which in my opinion, only added to the creepy factor. This isn't a drama for everyone. You really have to appriciate horror to like it. I don't think I'd rewatch it, which is actually good, because it creeped it me out so much! By the way, it is extremely, extremely hard for me to get scared or creeped out by any horror, but this is one of the few that did it!
A note about why I rated it an 8. There were some parts of the story that left me confused at the end. I felt there were still some unanaswered questions that lingered and a couple of scenes that were shown quite differently. Also, episode three was short on the creepy.
