If you’ve glanced at my watchlist, then it’s no news that in addition to having an unhealthy obsession with K-Dramas and Chinese Dramas, I have an insane love for historical dramas. Sageuk, Wuxia, Xianxian, and general historical stuff, just about anything and everything where the actors are wearing costumes.

That being said, my 3 favourite K-Dramas of all time are;

Favourite Chinese drama of all time are;

1. Joy of Life 2019

2. Nirvana in Fire 2015

3. Word of Honor 2021

I am on a mission to hunt for dramas that will make me feel as good as Six Flying Dragons and Joy of Life. While I don’t deny the appeal of a good idol drama, with good looking casts, I am more into a sensible and strong plot with great acting.

So if you want a friend who can recommend you dramas that are really worth watching with strong plotting and all, then I am your go-to girl. 

Other Sageuk dramas that I’ve enjoyed include and are not limited to My Dearest, Empress Ki, Goryeo-Khitan War, Bloody Heart, Mr. Queen and Red Sleeve. Other modern day K-Dramas I am partial to include and are not limited to Money Heist Korea, The Glory, Alchemy of Souls, Reborn Rich, Arthdal Chronicles, Dr. Romantic and Worst of Evil.

On the side of Chinese dramas, other historical faves of mine are A Dream of Splendor, Sword Snow Stride, The Blood of Youth, Story of Ming Lan, One and Only, The Rebel Princess and The Untamed. For modern c-dramas, I am partial to Meet Yourself, Lighter and Princess, Love is Sweet and You’re my Glory.
