Good... almost great
Disclaimer: I watched the first 20 eps in full while the rest was mostly watched in the background.Nonetheless, I think this drama was pretty good and worth checking out. It has a family and romance focus. I did not love the idea of the brother-sister relationship turned romantic relationship; just not my thing, but it wasn't too hard to overlook it. Originally from the opening and ending theme songs, I thought this drama would center mainly around their highschool years, but thankfully, that wasn't actually the case, and it breezes over pretty quickly. I mainly stayed with this drama for its family storyline rather than the love story though.
I think the acting was great. However, Song Wei Long's acting was lacking a bit compared to his fellow actors; sometimes his acting just didn't feel natural. My absolute favorite duo in this drama was Steven Zhang (He Zi Qiu) and Luna Yuan (He Mei [Zi Qiu's mother]). As well as the child actor for young He Ze Qiu. They never failed to make me emotional and cry for them. As for the music, "Yu" by Shen Yicheng was a banger for sure. It always came in at the right moment and made me cry. The rest of the songs were good too but not that memorable. However, the reason why this drama is not a perfect 10 for me is that there are things that could be changed to make it better, and it didn't even captivate me for the whole 45 eps.... which isn't the drama's fault necessarily; I just have a terrible attention span.

Loved it!
From the comedy to the romance between the leads, I have no complaints. There a plenty of moments to make you literally laugh out loud, and the chemistry between the leads will make your heart flutter. The acting was great, and it never felt cringey. The soundtrack was nice as well. As someone who rarely fully finishes romantic c-dramas, this drama managed to get me to finish the whole thing even when it did drag near the end. I think what makes this drama different than it’s counterparts is that you can really tell that the leads are really made for each other and that they’re more than just their quirks. They are characters that have dimension to them. Plus you actually feel excited about their relationship after they do get together as opposed to other dramas where you’re pretty much over it as soon as they get together. Overall, definitely give this drama a go!Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

The visuals are immaculate
I'll be honest; I would've watched this drama even if it had a mediocre plot because Seo Ye Ji (Ko Moon Young) and Kim Soo Hyun (Moon Gang Tae) are so good-looking. I enjoyed the chemistry a lot. The story was actually pretty good too. I loved how they used fairytale books to help tell the story; it was very aesthetic. I also liked how mental illness was the main focus, which brings to light the mental struggles that people deal with every day. One negative about this drama is that at one point, I was pretty far into the drama, but at the same time, I didn't feel a connection with the characters at all; they still felt distant. I would not rewatch this, but there are some scenes that are definitely worth rewatching.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
One Of The Best Cdramas
Likes:- Each episode ends at a turning point in the story, therefore, making each episode a different length. I respect that it’s only 12 episodes and not dragged to be 45 episodes.
- It is filmed like a movie and is very visually pleasing. I also heard that they filmed this in only 77 days, which is very impressive.
- Although the main characters speak Mandarin, I loved how the background characters spoke either Cantonese or other dialects.
- The acting was superb and realistic, especially the kids.
- I loved how people’s skin was not whitened and the places were realistic. This is unlike other c-dramas where everyone is fair-skinned and the places are super neat, clean, and perfect.
Dislikes:
- My only dislike is that sometimes the logic of the kids seems unrealistic, and I really can’t wrap my mind around some of the decisions they make. Like I get that they’re young and one of the kids is probably only 9 years old, but I’m assuming that the other two kids are middle schoolers and would know better.
Edit: Changed score from 10 to 9

Binge Worthy, Light Weighted Fluff
Please watch past the first two eps before you decide if you want to continue! The first two eps were trash, but I'm glad I decided to continue anyway. This is definitely a feel-good drama. The story is nothing special and follows the cliches. Like the director of the drama even said this concept has been done before and that the only thing that makes this drama stand out is its focus on hockey. This is probably the only reason I stuck with this drama and its storyline. Nonetheless, the drama was addicting and managed to make me watch all 24 eps. I would've enjoyed this drama even more if they actually gave more focus to hockey than the romance. As for the acting, it was not the best, and cringe at times. I think this was partly due to the dubbing, which I think always ruins the naturalness of a drama. The chemistry was there between the main leads; however, all the kissing scenes were unnatural. For the music. it was nothing special but still catchy.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Surprisingly Addictive
I did not finish this drama when it first came out but recently decided to rewatch from the beginning and ended up binging the whole drama. After finishing the drama, the plot really was not that deep or dark compared to the posters and everything. I was never really surprised by what was gonna happen next. The trio was also not even that charismatic group for me to root for-- was kinda annoyed at Soo Ji and Se Joo most of the time. Honestly, I was just there for Tae Hee and Si Hyun because of how attractive they were and that they had good chemistry together. I would recommend watching it if you're just looking for something brain-dead to watch.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Drop Everything and Watch This
You know when you binge-watch a drama and feel like absolute crap afterward. Well, this drama is a series worth binge-watching and will leave you feeling good. It is just so immersive. I was completely entrapped with the plot and characters. The Queen herself is just such a charismatic character. I am constantly rooting for her to out plot her rivals. While this is a more political/power struggle drama, there is a small plotline of a love story, which I loved so much. Honestly, I'm very glad that I watch this!Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
