Tho moved me in so many ways from belly laughs to streaming tears. The characters are wonderful and it gave me such an insight into Chinese life from the 50s onwards, such a contrast to my life in the UK from the 50s. So so so enjoying this!! I love the introduction and ending music too.
The translation into (American) English seems a little harsh at times I’m sure that the original Chinese isn’t so harsh - especially using the term jerk so often but overall a great dialogue.
