Endearing romance
This show was everything I expected it to be. I liked the concept( childhood friends to lovers) and the chemistry of the couple the most. You will appreciate the more heartfelt moments as they give a deeper depth to the story. In the beginning there are a lot of good comedic scenes, but then the show focuses on more the reality of life and love. It wasn't a 10/10 show for me, but I get why it was talked about so much.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Choppy
The first few episodes are the best from the series, then it kinda goes "meh" with some highlight moments in between. The story overall is intriguing enough. But the script and editing feels choppy, with no easy flow. The last 2 episodes also, it feels there is a rush to wrap things up with ultimately a predictable lukewarm ending. Maybe my expectations were too high because of the hype for the series. Lastly, I was surprised from the Spice up our Love crossover.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
True comedy
Another favourite. The fml actress is hilarious in her role. The second lead was a heartthrob and a half. The overall concept and story felt original to me. The song though.. that damn song that plays in almost every episode? It got to my damn nerves. I don't want to hear it ever again! It wan not that good either. If you watch only ONE romantic series in your life, this should be it! The story, the actors, the chemistry of the couple, everything was just right. I have read some things, but I hope we will get to see the actors in another series again. This show has everything a romantic heart wants and desires. A lot better than what I was expecting! The actors did a good job. It was funny and lighthearted, but at the same time it is conveying serious societal issues. A tridute to Jeju Island
Even if you've never visited Jeju, after this drama you will feel like you know everything about it. A story with the feel of a small community in the country, very similar to other dramas of that type. Childhood friends to lovers that broke up and give a second chance to their relationship. Interesting aspect were the haenyeo "gang". Drama with a lot of emotional and sometime funny moments. The chemistry of the couple felt extremely natural, so I won't be surprised if in the future there are news about a real life romance between two actors.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Cute with a little depth
Cute romance with a little depth surprisingly. Which was much appreciated, even though it was personally triggering. I liked the couple, but their chemistry was just ok. The funniest part/character was by far ML's brother. The actor hit it out of the park. So, I found to the secondary couple more the main one. Production was good as expected and the ost was nice. Interesting subject
Short drama(only 6 episodes), with an interesting contemporary story. Was it one the best dramas i've watched so far? No, just good enough to keep watching. The acting was good and I believe the director and the production team did a very good job. I feel it could have been more funny in the beginning, but.. The script was just ok. Mature viewers will appreciate this drama more. Unexpectedly very good. The actors were right fit for their roles. Smart script. Contemporary romance of two couples. I think the story had potential to be way better. It felt like the script was struggling to make sense. I was hoping for a strong comedy with a side of romance. Very funny and endearing kdrama. Loved the couple and their dynamic. The actors were a right fit for their roles. The ties everything together beautifully. It has a very satisfying ending. The only thing is, that towards the end it feels rushed. And also, I wanted the fml to have even more badass heroine moments. I have watched this show multiple times already. Hyeri is the best in it! She was my favourite character. Amazing and underrated actress. One of the funniest kdramas out there, in my opinion. Also, the nostalgia factor of the show is strong and quite endearing. The best "Reply" out of the three. I don't know if the actress didn't do such great portrayal of the role, if the show would have had that success. She was amazing. Very funny scenes. All the actors work well together. I have a beef with this show..
And particularly its ending! The director of the show did us so dirty. Loved the couple, no doubt. I found the storyline refreshing and yet predictable at the same time. The chemistry of the leads is a bullseye. The ost is so amazing, I want to buy it. In the beginning it has a lot of comedy in it, then grows quite serious and somber. REALLY loved the dark vibe of the show. Very good acting and storyline. I felt satisfied when I completed watching it. Without a doubt is a favorite. The actors not only have very good chemistry, but individually the hit a home run in their roles. Love the maturity and complexity of the show. The production team did a phenomenal job.
