this c-drama is probably one of the best watches ever! definitely worth it!
to be honest, i don't really watch a lot of c-dramas because i find the acting and the overrall story kind of cringey (and im not saying this drama wasn't cringey - it definitely had its moments!) but 'hidden love' somehow kept me hooked from start to finish. i just loved watching their love blossom throughout the series.also, the zhao lusi and chen zheyuan had AMAZING chemistry - they definitely need to work together again! their acting made the story of sang zhi and duan jua xu so real!!
omg and the ost~~ i love the songs so much (i think zhao lusi actually sang two of the songs too?)
i'm still listening to them.
i miss the couple so much :((

BEST DRAMA OF 2024-25
This drama had me HOOKED from beginning to end. The acting? PHENOMENAL. The story? AMAZING. The chemistry?? HELLO DO I EVEN NEED TO SAY ANSWER THIS, THE CHEM B/W YYS AND CSB WAS SERIOUSLY OFF THE CHARTS.I will say, for a romance/thriller, the thriller part was definitely mid - but since I'm not a thriller fan! It didn't matter so much to me. To be honest, that doesn't even take much away from the drama though (unless you're a thriller fan watching the drama for that bit of thriller and you expected more). The drama was a bit cringey at some points, but it really shows how in depth the actors' acting was. They all portrayed their characters SO well. YYS's acting was PHENOMENAL, but that's NOT to say CSB's acting wasn't!!! This was the very first drama I've watched of his so his acting really stood out to me.
To be honest, I wish this drama had more episodes. I don't know how I'm going to say goodbye to this drama. WILL DEFINITELY REWATCH LATER.

a cdrama you CANNOT miss out on
i first watched this c-drama 2 years ago, the story didn't really resonate with me, but I found the acting and the chemistry of the two leads to be amazing. the story was also very real in it's own sense - none of that cringe I get while watching other cdramas.but after having just rewatched this drama, and at the exact age and stage of life as the characters at that, I'm overcome with emotions. not only did the story actually resonate with me this time, but I could feel the emotions of the characters for real this time. i was laughing, crying and eventually balling my eyes out at all the same time. this is a truly spectacular, coming-of-age drama that you HAVE to watch. at LEAST once.
this will forever be one of my faves - even considering rewatching it one more time tbh!
ALSO - this cdrama got adapted into a kdrama!! so make sure to follow along with that too. i watched the first two eps and it seems rlly good.
