TL;dr: I started this show and dropped it after like 2 minutes, because I was so annoyed by the style and biased by the negative opinions of others. But then I saw an edit and wanted to give the show another try... and I fell in love! We really need to care less about other's opinions when it comes to shows, because I watched so many shows that a lot of people dislike, while I enjoyed them. What a pity, if I would have missed all those gems!My Love Letter to Bed Friend, lmao:
I'm a huge huge huge fan of expressed consent, because this topic is really important to me. I also don't like to be touched without permission, so shows which tackle this topic are kinda special to me, because it's not often addressed. I just feel seen when this topic comes up, and I really really LOVE it. Furthermore, I giggle and smile like an idiot whenever this topic comes up in a show.
King absolutely respects Ueas boundaries with no doubt. He asks for permission and takes him serious. He isn't frustrated or annoyed by Uea stating his boundaries and saying "No". Not only that, but he gives Uea the time Uea needs to open up. That made me so happy and I smiled every time. But King also doesn't shy away to vocalize very clearly what he wants and needs. But he also makes clear, that he doesn't want to pressure Uea and respects any decision Uea would make, he is endlessly caring, patient and understanding. Nonetheless: It's not like King is only simping for Uea. But he gives him safety, and that's what Uea needs after all he went through. At the first look, it seems like King puts more effort in it, but he is just the more (talk)active part, who takes the initiative, because Uea is really careful and cautious, what is totally understandable.
The respect they have for each other is just so nice to see, especially since consent is still a topic that many people don't take seriously and belittle it/laugh about. So seeing a show portraying it that way made me really excited, glad and happy, because I can relate so much to Uea.
Good communication: Both leads reflect and apologize! Not one-sided attraction or love. That's often missing in other shows, but here it's stated as mutual in so many scenes, and I love it. They both see when they made mistakes and both take responsibility for it and don't expect the other one to apologize or take the blame. You can absolutely see that they BOTH want to be together and how they put effort into it, to make things work, to understand each other, listen to each other and support each other. It's healthy, mutual, full of respect, dignity and effort and I. Am. Whipped.
King literally devours Uea with his looks in every scene, and I love it. He looks so proud, attracted and whipped for Uea in every shot and I. Am. Melting. Get yourself someone who looks at you the same way King looks at Uea. That's so heartwarming. Overall, Nets acting is just really impressive to me. There are scenes where he only breathes in a specific way, and I'm like "Damn, he expresses so much right now" I could totally see and feel every emotion that both of them wanted to convey.
The acting could be a tiny little bit better here and there, because sometimes it felt a little bit off/stiff. That's also because the pauses between the lines, when they talk to each other, are sometimes unnecessarily long…but that's so little, that it didn't take away from my excitement and love for this show.
Also: Important topics get addressed, just as safer sex, STDs and testing, boundaries. Overall, their communication is just really wholesome, like I explained already.
Ultimate Plus point: No "love fixes all" trope. Yeah, King supports Uea all the way, but Uea puts work in it himself in order to get better! He works for the processing and healing of his trauma! Again: wholesome. He doesn't rely only on King. He doesn't think, just because King accepts and likes him the way he is, he doesn't have to change anything anymore. Furthermore, he works constantly on different things, he grows and he opens up, step by step. The development is great to see!
Likeable support characters: Jade and Gun are great friends, especially Jade. What a cutie patootie! I know…a lot of people dislike characters like him and I can totally understand this, but I love Yim (I fell for him in Cutie Pie) and maybe that's why I have a soft spot for Jade too. I knew that Tutor will appear in the last episode, and I still smiled from ear to ear when he was finally there, because I am just abnormally whipped for them, and I am really excited to watch their story in Middleman's Love, even though I heard a lot of negative things about the show. The other people in the office are also funny and entertaining, and I laughed multiple times when Faii and Muay appeared. You really have to like characters like them to find them funny, and I am surprised by myself that I wasn't annoyed by them.
Funfact; I started Bed Friend a while ago, to get a quick look how the vibe is, and I didn't even make it through the introduction, because I was so annoyed, LOL. And now, I am absolutely in love with the show, the cast and everything. x)
Low angst: Obstacles get solved pretty quickly. It's not dragged, it's not getting boring. I love that! The pacing is absolutely to my taste. Every time when I watched a preview that shows some drama/obstacles, I was afraid. "Okay, that's the moment, where the show will f*ck it up. Now there's drama incoming, and they will drag it :(" but nope, every episode I got surprised again. The problems were solved quickly and nicely. Maybe for other people, too fast and unproblematic, but I absolutely loved this.
Lovely Soundtrack: The lyrics for the OSTs are very fitting, what I also like. It's great to think back to a show, when I listen to the OSTs afterward and the lyrics tell the story again.
Relatable characters: The characters make sense. Their behavior is understandable. Uea is absolutely not annoying! If you understand trauma, you also understand him. People who say he's annoying just don't understand what trauma does to someone. I can absolutely relate to him, and he is probably my favorite character ever. I love how he teases King and how King loves every second of it. But I also see the little moments, where Uea steps over his shadow and pushes himself out of his comfort zone, to open up to King and give him something back. To show him that he trusts King and wants this thing between them just as much as King wants it. They also share some lovey-dovey moments, where Uea doesn't joke around, just to tease King, but gives him serious the confirmation King asks for. It's a great balance of teasing, but making clear that he wants him too. Bratty characters are often written in a frustrating way, because either they never admit that they like the other person, or they take too long to admit it. So it can get annoying pretty easily. Characters like this have a high chance to frustrate me, because I want to see a relationship that shows me a mutual love story. I'm not interested in one-sided love, but shows with bratty characters have a high tendency to fail to deliver this, because it's easy to miss the chance to turn the characters' behavior just slightly, so they don't fail to sell me their love. But yeah, like I said, Uea nails this balance and his teasing always comes off as very loveable, without the intention to hurt King or make fun of him in a disrespectful way and the serious moments always come off as very sincere and lovely.
The Ending: Usually I don't like time skips at the end, because I feel disconnected from the story. It is just not connected to the rest and the smooth flow is lost. But in Bed Friend, I didn't mind them much. Maybe because they happen on a casual basis, so it was kind of part of the whole vibe. I also don't like it much when they pack the last episode full of sudden happy events. Like wedding, Pregnancy (well, more in straight dramas, but if you know, you know) etc. It just feels kinda off. I know that dramas don't need to be realistic, and I don't have this standard either, but somehow it often feels like too much and not fitting to the rest of the story. It feels like the writers try to use everything to push the happiness to the maximum level. But here again, I didn't mind it at all. I am so in love with KingUea, that it really made me happy, that they got the full package of a happy ever after in the end, because - especially Uea - they went through so much shit, that they just deserve every inch of happiness they can get.
Bed friend became an absolute comfort show for me. I enjoyed every second and I love love love it. I felt so relaxed, watching the show. KingUea are both freaking attractive, cute, adorable and sweet characters. The show gave me so many tropes that I just LOVE and adore (and don't find often in other shows, so I was even more excited). I was glued to my screen, devouring the show just like King devoured Uea and I definitely don't regret it.
Kudos to everyone who actually read all of this. I don't even know how this could happen. That's for sure my longest review ever. :'D

+ the acting is quite okay
+ i am not sure what to think about the chemistry. i guess..its there? but the main problem is the story. i'll get to this point later
+ nice ost.
+ visuals
Room for improvement:
- i didn't like the female character. she was absolutely annoying imho. i just have a problem with people like her, lmao. she's way too intrusive.
- the story lacks excitement. it was just..a bit boring. i would've wished, that his insomnia gets more room in the story. or more depth. it felt shallow. at the end there are some open questions, which i didnt got any conclusion for. nothing major, but little things i would've like to know.
- the whole plot felt a little bit like a mess and all over the place. as if someone would start several things, but doesn't tell them till the end. i guess that's also the reason why i don't feel much chemistry. because the story doesn't feel connected. so.. yeah, well.
it's okay to watch, but it's definitely not a must-watch. and that makes me actually a bit sad, because i was really excited for this drama. ^^'

Lack of logic drops the rating
It really isn't easy to write a review for this show, at least for me.First of all, i would actually recommend this show!
The rating is low, but that's not because the show is bad. I enjoyed watching it and I like it a lot, actually! The problem here isnt the acting - because the actors did a really really great job! I especially fell for Tor, because he is so cute and cheeky. But also Toey did well. He managed to keep those cheeky, flirty attitude of Tor so well. Both adult actors nailed to keep the charme of the characters. I totally saw the younger versions of them in the adult actors and that's really nice to see, because they worked hard to achieve this. They talked about this in the special episode and I am just happy that they succeeded and delivered just fine! So the criticism for the show really doesn't have anything to do with the actors. Besides the acting, the OST is also beautiful. We also get to hear the OST from Until we meet again a few times, and for someone who watched UWMA, it's a cute and quick nostalgic trip. Especially if you know what the lyrics mean. They somehow fit for this show as well as they did for UWMA. (I really love when the OST is telling the story through a song and the lyrics here are so beautiful. I listen to OSTs a lot and i love to think back to a show while listening to their OST and if the lyrics are so matching, like it's here the case, it's even more emotional.)
Coming to the problems of the show and the reason for my low rating: the lack of world building and therefore the lack of logic. This show is a hot mess, when it comes to this point. There are literally no rules explained, so they can just do what they want, because if you don't explain the rules, no one can say you break them, right? I was so confused since episode 1, because I kept asking myself "how? why? that doesn't make sense!!!" :'D They really didn't care to make things make sense. And that's the biggest weak spot of this show. The time travelling plot is just full of plotholes, because they just went with whats convenient, not caring about the lack of logic. Another small criticism I have: I would kinda wish to have seen even more of their lovestory. It gets displayed as tragic, deep, dramatic and epic. And I kinda get it. But it fails to touch me emotionally, because they don't SHOW me, but just tell me. Ah, it's kinda hard to explain. But..I feel like it's a bit of this "Show, don't tell" problem. Maybe it's just me. I wasn't as emotional as I expected. But that's also because of the lack of logic. I was so frustrated and f*cked up almost till the end, so I was busy with ranting, instead of crying. :'D
Overall, give it a try. Don't let the bad reviews make you hesitant. The actors are great, the OST is great and if you can just accept the fact, that they really failed with the world building, it is indeed a heartwarming and comforting show.
All my love goes to Tor and Toey. <3

+ Lee Shi Kangs & Hsu Mu Jis acting. Jun Cheng's dominance and confidence is really hot. T_T I had to pause multiple times to process how handsome and attractive Lee Shi Kang is. U_U
+ The OST
+ Visuals. Eye candy is always appreciated.
+ A short but entertaining drama. The plot is interesting. The acting is balanced. Some actors are better, some are worse. For such a drama it's totally okay. No one was really bad.
+ The language switch. I actually liked that they talked in Korean and Chinese. At some point I really was impressed by the acting because you don't see that they don't actually understand each other. Or maybe they do..I don't know how much of the languages the actors speak. :D but you don't really see by the acting that they speak different languages.
+ I loooove the inner monologues. There aren't many, but I think they are hilarious. The humour is really placed well and made me laugh multiple times.
+ Jun Cheng and Lin Xun are definitely my favorite couple.
I didn't dislike anything major about it. ^^' some scenes were a bit too overdramatic and the acting was a little awkward and towards the end it gets a bit less exciting, but besides that it was a quick watch, it was funny, entertaining and the chemistry was also nice. The show left me longing for more.
Unfortunately the subtitles on Viki are a bit off. It's nothing major and I think you can still understand the meaning, but it's a bit annoying if you understand the language a bit and know, that the dude is not screaming "Auntie" but "Mother". :')

Fluffy and cute slice of life BL
Things I liked:- The OST! It's such a bop! I started to listen to it even before i was watching the show and i love it. its catchy and cute!
- The acting and their chemistry. They are so adorable together!
- No annoying characters -> There was no unnecessary drama at all. It was so healthy and fluffy! And the support characters were all fun, especially Haruna! :D As someone who doesn't like angst, this was just perfect.
Things I missed:
- The kisses were cute and kinda fitting, but it still would have been cool to have at least one deeper kiss. But still, they just fitted the atmosphere, so my complain is really little (although i complain all the time about deadfishkisses xd) But like I said, it matched the vibe totally!
- I think, it would have been the cherry on top if Kazuhito called him at least one time for real Ryota. :D
All an all its a super cute and fluffy slice of life BL. I binged it, so it adds to the different feeling i have for the show. A lot of people criticized that it's boring or slow, but since i waited for the full release, i can't share this opinion. I wasn't bored a single second and it just felt good to watch those adorable cutie patooties together. I dont rewatch dramas often, but i can totally see myself coming back to this one, when i need some fluffy feel good drama.

What I liked:
First of all, I was suuuper excited for Ahn Se Min, but found his perfomance the weakest.. Therefore Kim Sung Hyun surprised me. I really liked his acting/his character and he made me smile here and there. Overall, all the characters were pretty much likeable and entertaining.
The ending OST is a bop! Love it.
I actually liked the haircuts and the fluffy pastel sweaters. :D Jung Ki Sub was such a fluffball and endlessly adorable. Some scenes were really cute, funny or just nice to watch.
Room for improvement:
I agree, the writing was weak. The story felt choppy here and there and it was rather shallow. Some circumstances could have been used in a more emotional engaging way. I just didn't care too much about the characters, buuuut I really enjoyed one scene in episode 7 and a lot of episode 8. So..in the end, I was actually happy about the outcome. :D
It's just a classic, light korean BL. I don't think you miss a lot if you skip it, but it's also not a waste of time watching it. It's just nothing that hooked me emotionally or made me really feel connected to the characters. But I love korean BLs in general, so I don't miss out on them. :D
Additional thoughts:
I think a lot of people lack psychological understanding to get the characters at some point - based on what I read in the comments and where I absolutely can't agree with. I started the show, read some comments and were pretty bummed, because I expected the worst. :'D But yeah, it's not bad and for me the, the actions were all logically and understandable. I won't elaborate any further, because I want to keep my review spoilerfree. :)

It's nice to get a little background information about how something was recorded.
I like to watch commentaries in general to get to know what the actors think about specific scenes, to get some background knowledge and here: simple to see them again infront of a camera. They have a really nice chemistry!
There's not much to say about this. You shouldn't expect a lot of new information, but it's a nice work on top if you finished the show and want to see some more of them together - just like I did.

What a good rollercoaster!
I didn't expect this emotional journey at all. I thought it would be a classical, predictable drama about infidelity, but oh boy, was i wrong.Likes:
+ The start is pretty usual. We get a good introduction of the characters and the dynamic. With each episode, we dive deeper into the emotions. It's not overwhelming, it allows us to understand everything better step by step.
+ The character development is slowy, but natural and so authentic. At the beginning i was so pissed about the husband and just screamed internally that she should just leave him, but with further progress, we discovered more and more of the story and the characters emotions unfold so beautifully.
+ Theres a deep dive into psychology and i really suffered together with the characters. This drama hit me off guard out of fkkn nowhere.
+ The OST. Its beautiful. Not just the song itself, also the vibe, the lyrics and how the intro was shot, the symbolism (i have my own wild interpretation of the blue apple :')) It's been a few day since i finished this drama and i still listen to the intro on repeat. The whole vibe of the song and the drama just has me in a chokehold. I am emotionally so hooked. x.x
+ Plottwists all over, kinda. I was definitely surprised. After the quiet/slow (?) and not-so-special start, i expected a usual drama, but nope.
+ The child actor! Yuma's actor is just great! But all the actors did a great job.
I actually don't have much that I dislike about the drama. There's nothing that I could name in particular, besides one little thing, that I will put in a comment of my review, because I want to keep this review spoilerfree.
I really don't get the low rating at all! It's not a typical infidelity drama, where one is cheating and then the other part cheats, too. Just for fun and without giving a fck about the relationship.
Its deep, emotional, raw and inspiring & I really like it a lot!

Edit: After typing my review, I found the review from Zelme and I pretty much agree to their opinion too, so feel free to check it out, because they put things differently into words and I feel like they did well. :Dhttps://mydramalist.com/profile/9837639/review/267273
Well... We have a bunch of eye candy, decent acting, a catchy OST and a story that's not that bad. I was pretty committed, liked the characters, and some moments were really sparkling... but the last two episodes were just pure nonsense.
We have 2 time jumps of 2 years each, and while I liked the first jump and understood why they would write it, the second time jump of another 2 years took me even more out of the story. They were suddenly together, apparently for a long time, and behaved even more awkwardly than at school, which made no sense.
So everything feels far too rushed because important milestones are simply not shown (confession, come together).
Apart from the fact that kisses are constantly teased, there are never any. No couple behaves like this, especially if they felt so comfortable with skinship before. I already knew there was no kiss (that's why I stopped watching the show the first time), but people who don't know must have been massively annoyed by it.
Until the last episode, the series was a good 8.5 for me, but this hiccup at the end - being awkward/uncomfortable, even though the two were very close to each other at school, including skinship, doesn't make sense to me and therefore depresses the series to 6. My frustration scala just exploded. I've rated A Breeze of Love also a 6 and plotwise I found A Shoulder to Cry On way more interesting and fun to watch, but oh boy, this last episode really killed my mood.
With one less time jump and without that regression in terms of their closeness, plus a fleshed out confession and how they eventually come together, the series would probably have stayed at 8 or 8.5.
Especially the last episode is frustrating. It feels like I wasted a little bit of my time. Not because there is no kiss, but because their behavior is actually quite unpleasant with each other, all of a sudden - because... while they were going to school, they were so comfortable with each other! Ugh! I just don't understand why they decided to write the characters like this, because theres no logical reason for this, omg.

I really like the trope about contract marriages, because usually it leads to funny, flirty moments. But not here.. In the beginning the show was an easy 8 - 8.5 for me, but it dropped very fast, leading to reach rock bottom at episode 9. I was so close to dropping the show after episode 10, but with only 40 minutes left, i decided to finish the show. And got more and more frustrated.Usually japan serves very likeable female leads, thats at least my experience, but maybe i was just lucky in the past to watch the right dramas. The fl here is just horrible. she lies all the time for the sake of others, because apparently everyone deservers happiness, but her.
Takumi, Masaki and Remi really carried the show. the support characters are absolutely adorable, likeable and funny. the actors are great and i indeed like the comically acting. The one-sided gay romance surprised me and at one point i just wanted takumi and masaki ending up together, lol. the fl was really frustrating, because theres no character development for her, while remi got a great change and became likeable very fast. she and masaki were my favorite characters! somehow every side character was more likeable then yae, which made it really hard and frustrating to watch the drama.
the dramas favorite trope is interruption. and i hate it. if it occurs only a few times, it can be funny, but overdone its just annoying and thats the case here.
the ending was just ridiculous. a fake marriage to make takumi realizes he wants yae? yeah, no. why communicate when you can pull off such a desaster? lmao.
ah, and what was this ost pls? i dont know if it was autotune, but there were way too much effects on the vocals on the ending song and it was just a pain in my ears.
i dont recommend the show, because there are way better dramas with the contract marriage trope, that serves the things i expect from a drama, very well. this drama failed totally to deliver everything i watch this trope for.

"Why transition into a tearful melodrama genre all of a sudden?"
+ It started kinda promising.+ It was funny and I am a huge fan of bickering between leads. Both leads have a nice humour and are likeable.
+ Besides the leads, we also have 2 employees in the café, which are pretty much likeable. Also the people in the office are nice, but the main focus is really on the leads, which I liked lot.
+ The ost is really beautiful.
+ It's short, so I don't have to endure too much and it's still kinda watchable, BUT:
- Towards the end it was just so frustrating to watch. T_T The obstacles just got copy and pasted. If it was solved on the FL side, it appeared on the ML side. Yeah, wtf. :'D How can a drama with this length be so freaking annoying?!
Things, I disliked:
- Unnecessary lies. I hope everyone out there would handle the situation with the ex differently! Otherwise, don't you dare to call yourself a friend.
- annoying ex, who also leads me to be annoyed of the FL, because: why can no one talk clearly in this show?! I can clearly see how many thoughts rush through their minds, but communication can't be found, lmao.
- second female character whose whole personality only consist of one thing. I won't spoiler it, but she doesn't talk about much aside of this. She is so pushy and uncomfortable. This has nothing to do with "I won't hold back, because xxx" It's just straight up: "I don't want to read the room, because I don't care about others anymore. I just care about me, so deal with it, why should your feelings matter, LOL."
- Unnecessary time skip at the end. Yeah, sure, we need more obstacles to drag the frustration. /s
With the negative points, the show felt dragged, although it is pretty short. I would not say that you miss something, if you'll just pass here. It was okay, but it was nothing major cute, fluffy or romantic, which would have balanced the criticism. I laughed some times, but there were definitely shows that turned me more often into a gasping, squeaking fangirl than this one.
Btw: The Headline is a quote from the ML in Episode 9 and describes my thoughts on the SFL in such a perfect way, that I just had to use it. :'D

Spoilers are at the end of the review.I often hesitate to start a show, if people disliked it much. But I try to get less influenced and built my own opinion. So far; I don't think this show is that bad. But the ending is the problem here.. I am really sad right now, lmao.
What I liked:
+ PingPong, Lomfon and Thian. While I didn't care much about them in the beginning, I started to really like them and in the end, they are my favorite characters in the show!
+ The humour is funny and most of the time I liked the editing - even though there were a bunch of mistakes, like things changing their position.
+ The OST is beautiful. I started to watch BLs this year and after watching some shows with OSTs from Boy Sompob, I definitely get why so many people are in love with him. I am too.
+ I could understand Lomfon, Thian, Tai and Phat. Even if their behaviour was not productive or unlogically for some people, I could totally understand all of them, everytime.
+ This show has for real one of the hottest kissscenes. I wonder why not more people talk about them! They shots are pretty, the kissing is great, the chemistry is kinda hot, so...yeah, I don't know why it's not mentioned more often. :D
Room for Improvement:
- around episode 7 I started to dislike Phat. I don't even know why, but somehow I lost my interest in their lovestory.
- the end was way too dragged.
- not every character was as easy to understand as Lomfon, Thian, Tai and Phat. x)
- i would like to sue the cinematographer for the shitty shots we've got from LomfonThian in the last episode. They did so well with the first couple, so what was this?! We were robbed!!! T_T
Overall the show started strong, but the last two episodes were too dragged. I still like the show, but I really have to fight my bad feelings, especially about the very very last scene.
From here, I will mention spoilers:
- Excuse me, what the f*ck was this ending, please?! I swear to god, LomfonThian are adorable, don't you dare to separate them!!! T____T
- The GL couple in the end was cute, but unnecessary. The same goes for the other couples that suddenly popped up.
- The lies were so much nonsense, wow.
- I also don't get why the parents weren't just honest. It was really not that big of a deal, lol. I thought they also found out that one of them has two soulmates, or they lost their connection, lul.

I quite enjoyed it and I like MeenPing here even more than in My Dear Gangster Oppa, which made me watch Ai long Nhai for MeenPing. :D
I love their communication and how they handle certain topics in the show. (Overcoming internalized homophobia, coming out, the question about "is it necessary to announce a relationship?" (I love Nhais opinion to this!)) Ai is so caring and I like that he really stops when Nhai doesn't want anything . Consens. c: Also the fact, that both show their love verbally for each other made me really happen. It's often just the "top" who speaks about his adoration for his partner, but here, Nhai also tell Ai what he feels for him and how strong these feelings are. But I wish he would do it more often. The same with skinship and kisses. Nhai is often defensive and distant. After some time it's a bit annoying, tbh. But I also like that Ai doesn't push Nhai, but gives him the time Nhai needs.
It's really not as bad as people say. I dislike their nicknames (wife&husband) for each other (because of obvious reasons) but this problem is a Thai-Problem. We see it in multiple shows.
I liked the acting, the flirting, the humour and how light everything was. I don't need heavy plots and I like some good fluff. Nhai, for me, wasn't as annoying as some people think. Sure, some things were overdone, but that's the style of the show and I don't think it's horrible. Ping is able to act whiny and annoying characters in a way where it's still comfortable and entertaining to watch. I see, that Nhai is supposed to be annoying and exhausting, but he doesn't annoy me, you know? :D
The side characters don't add too much to the show, but they are quite funny. Jida is a refreshing female sidecharacter. Finally not an annoying female obstacle. I love the support from the boys! They made me laugh multiple times and Nine is such a cutie. Also Ai's Dads were so much fun to watch! They are so precious together. T_T
I hesitated a long time to watch this show. I even deleted it multiple times from my watchlist, because some reviews were just soo bad. But than I gave it a try and I was really surprised. It was really fun to watch! After episode 6 I had a mildly hard time to get back to it and the last episodes were a bit boring. Some scenes were still funny and made me giggle, but overall it's a bit too long for a character-driven show. But I made it through it, wuhu. *Clap clap*

+ I love fast-paced shows!
+ a little bit of humour. Had to laugh several times.
+ I didn't expect the ending being so..steamy. Kinda. :D
-> Onoes face expressions are everything. Geez. He looks goddamn hot while enjoying Kabu-Kuns attention. Those lipbites though! T_T
+ Story wasn't really original, but I definitely enjoyed watching this show. We see different cases on which they work together and for me, they were interesting.
+ A little bonus fun was seeing the ML from "The Novelist" again. I always like to see actors in different shows.
+ Mayasan was a funny support character. Definitely like this guy.
Some scenes were really weird. I was thinking like "They did not...?!" :'D but this isn't a point I dislike. I was just..surprised?
Room for improvement/Dislike:
- Kabu looks so awkward while smoking. Same with the actor from "The Novelist". As a smoker myself it's so obvious that the actors don't smoke in real life so I always cringed a bit when I saw them smoking.
- On one hand I like the way they communicate. Like..it doesn't take a long time till they talk about the things bothering them. But on the other hand it just feels like the talk past each other.. (but I definitely don't dislike it like other people wrote in their reviews. Their opinion is still valid. But it's not that bad for me :D)
- The acting could be improved. I get that Kabu is a distant and more on the cold-side type, but still his acting seemed a little off. Like not fully into character..I don't know how to explain it. Stiff? Bored? Aah, I don't know. It's like the other extreme of overacting. It was just too little...energy? People are definitely able to act cold and distant without giving me the feelings that Kabu gave me. ^^'
But I liked Onoe! And the two guys working with them. They were funny.
Overall I had fun watching this drama and don't find it that bad. It didn't give me this fully-hooked feeling, where I can't stop watching, but that's okay. It was nice to watch, but not overwhelming great. It's just that I didn't feel addicted to the show. But it also didn't frustrated or bored me.
It's nothing I would fully rewatch (but definitely would rewatch the scenes were Onoe is enjoying Kabus touches and kisses. Geez... x.x :') ) but for a one-time watch it's definitely entertaining enough.
