Watch if you need a break from the typical kdrama formula
I have seen this drama described as a "healing drama." I agree with this in multiple ways. Not only is this drama about healing from past traumas, but it's what I would describe as a "palette cleanser" which I would consider another form of healing. After watching several dramas with crazy plots and twists that causes some anxiety or an entire box of tissues to be gone through, this drama was a nice slice-of-life slow-burn drama. It has its dramatic and rather sad moments but nothing completely utter tragic to the point it's unbelievable. Probably the most realistic kdrama I have seen. Another added bonus, no real second leads so it's not your typical romance drama either. I loved it so much. I would have given it a 10/10 but honestly the end was sort of confusing to me.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
A therapeutic, slow series...
I think this type of series are for those with a certain genre of watching. Some may find this slow, plain, boring or therapeutic. The ending was kinda rushed (?) but the vibe was still present. The acting showed the characters' true self -- their past and feelings. The chemistry of both lead artists were good. As to rewatching the series, I think it really depends on the audiences' taste in watching. For those interested in watching this series, I recommend watching this during winter time or cold season (for those countries without four seasons) so you would also grasp the feeling.

It made me want to live in this small town.
I want to start off by saying that I surprised myself when it comes to this drama. I usually love a fast-paced romance where the OTP are in love by episode 5 and planning their wedding by episode 8 lol. This drama was as opposite from that as it could get... but I absolutely LOVED it. I loved the slow pace, the long quiet moments, the sad moments, the sloooow burn pace of the romance and absolutely loved almost every single character in this drama. The best way I can describe it is that it's an absolutely beautiful story and healing to the soul. It's just SUCH a beautiful drama. I felt like I was reading a book. I found myself wishing I could move to this small town that had a warm and cosy book shop, an amazingly supportive book club and imperfect people who were all going through something but still cared for each other and carried each other's burdens. It's honestly one of my most favourite dramas. I gave it a nine overall because the helpless romantic in me wished for all the loose ends to be tied up and presented to us with a pretty big bow on top, but it really is beautiful.
PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY! It's different from many dramas I've watched and I think that is what set it apart. I really hope there can be another drama where Park Min Young and Seo Kang Joon are the FL and ML because their chemistry is stunning.

This drama carries really strong message. It has such a calming , heartwarming and healing effect. Beautiful story about life. Definitely for people who love 'slice of life' dramas. You're going to love all characters and their stories in this drama, if you deacide to watch it.
And for sure give it a try, you're not going to be disappointed. An amazing job of authors and actors. I'm so happy my favourite actor Seo Kang Joon played this role, loved his character. All the characters are so warm and all of them have a touching stories, This drama will always have a special place in my heart, especially because of messages it carries. I give it 10/10. They all deserved it. Amazing job.

True to its name, the ending is shown like that. A kind of an open-ended. Where the viewer doesn’t know whether FL stayed for good or not. The show also dragged a bit after 13th episode. And when FL goes back to seoul leaving ML behind was also not fair. I mean how can you not be in touch with a guy who you are in love with?BUT overall the story is good. This is first Seo Kang Joon drama and he acted like a perfect introvert. Saying all the things he wants to say through his eyes and actions. PMY character was also good (straight-forwardeness character trait is not common in kdramas) their romance was too good. as if i had something warm to drink and slowly its spreading all over my body.
AND the side characters were so excellent. Im hui and jang wu stole the show. It felt as i was a part of their daily life as a family. Along with melodious OST which made me feel all their emotions.
I generally do not rewatch dramas but will definitely watch my favourite scenes again.
Recommend only you’re patient enough to feel the warmth at snail’s pace and if you’re ready to evaluate few things about life.

The characters- One thing I LOVED about this drama were the characters. They have enough screen time for all the characters and show’s they’re individual stories so you fell in love with everyone. The actors did an amazing job and getting you feel the emotions they were going through, I never felt so intensely for a story other than in this drama. I’ve gotta say Park Min-Young killed it, this character is so different than anything she’s played before and she did amazing. I loved her character as she was very relatable, and wasn’t a foolish, naive female lead. The male lead, Seo Kang-Joon had a very calm character, yet so much personality, you can only understand if you watch it. The male lead and second lead had amazing chemistry, the best bromance. Lee Jae Wook made me fall in love with his character yet again. He’s the best friend anyone wants to have.
The story- this story was literally beautiful, it’s sort of a sad/tragic past story but they made it in a way that, the character has more than just that. It’s about the present, and what they’re going through right now. They’re pasts are shown slowly as the characters get to know each other. Some of the stuff shown in the drama, like relationship abuse and friends breaking up, aren’t shown a lot in dramas at least how they portrayed it here. It was super relatable watching the characters stand there ground, rather than forgiving someone and moving past it.
Final thoughts- this was a good drama that you want to binge all at once, the episodes keep you on your toes wanting to know what happens next. You’ll fall in love with the characters and hurt when you see what they go through. It’s a very cozy drama that makes you feel warm inside. Though the end kept it open to interpretation, they showed all the characters story resolve.
I definitely recommend!!

The main attraction point of this drama comes from the backstory of the leads. Cheesy-romantic scenes are nice and all, but what really should get you hooked is how the story of each character unfolds. I'd put this drama in the "slice-of-life" genre, as it deals with day to day routines and struggles. I feel like many people could relate to this drama because of the raw and realistic features of it all. One drama that has the same vibe to this one is "a piece of your mind"; so if you liked this or liked that one, I suggest watching one or the other. Overall, this drama is a good one, and dramas like this should be more appreciated.

I stopped watching!
I'm an Asian man who grew up in the West. At the end of the Episode 14, when Hae-won confronted her mother about who really killed her father, and got mad at her mother and her aunt for not telling her this piece of information, 2 thoughts came to mind. I think a man wrote this and WHO GIVES A FLYING F..K who killed you father. Your just read your aunt describe how "there's nothing different about how your father is beating up your mother" meaning he's a serial abuser and you're mad because it's really your aunt who did the deed. Is this an Asian thing that I forgot about?Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
'Trust is a glass, once broken it can be mended but you'll always see the cracks'
When the weather is fine, I'll find you when the weather is nice or I'll find you on a beautiful day I honestly don't know why there are 70 names for this drama but it amuses me.The drama takes place in a small countryside town surrounded by people who were hurt and trail through forgiveness and healing. Led by the fantastic Park Min Young, which I honestly praise for such a heartfelt performance. I couldn't think of anyone better to pull this off. I would say the storyline is beautiful. I know it was based on a book and that's why they made everything as detailed as possible. It's my first time watching Seo Kang Joon and he left quite an impression on me, it was an amazing performance.
For the characters, I was put off for the first few episodes dues to the lack of character insight and development, I almost ended up dropping the series, but I did continue and it got so much more beautiful. I loved the way they worked through relationships with different people and the main characters Mok Hae Won and Lim Eun Seob (played by Park Min Young and Seo Kang Joon respectively) had so much difference in the way they were raised. But they didn't allow that to affect the way they loved each other and for me, that was such a good way of reaching out to their audience. I would say some characters such as Bo Yeong would have had more work and insight given to her. She would show up in an episode and be back 4 episodes later to add something huge to the ongoing storyline without any background build-up. If they would have given her more to show, her scenes would have had more impact.
Overall, it's a really good series, cinematography that was nice, and I really liked the angles the scenes were shot as well as the scenery with the sets that genuinely embodied their personalities. it made it way more worthwhile, although the scores and OST would have had higher quality but it was good none the less. it's one of the few that made me tear and then smile 0.5 seconds later. A lot of good performances to be made including Lee Jae Wook who explored this genre so beautifully I honestly can't wait to see him in more content. if you're looking for lessons and a heartwarming drama this is definitely it. Watch It!!

I started watching this drama with no expectations. I was kind of leaning into it because the plot seems simple enough. Everything that is being showed are all heavy drama, actions and thrillers. I needed a show that would calm me. I felt tired of watching dramas that are painful to the heart every episode, in short I needed a break. This show is like a breath of fresh air. It's a perfect mix of romance, comedy and drama. I couldn't have asked for anything else.
I loved how slow-paced it is, it isn't that slow-paced for me as I've watched other shows that felt very slow that I completely dropped it midway (bad habit I know). By being in this pace, the show perfectly depicted the emotions.
I loved all the characters & actings. I have watched the lead characters' and second leads' in other dramas before. So I trust that they would be able to deliver. They did deliver. I was able to see a different side of each and everyone of them. ALSO FOR EVERYONE WHO'S RATING THIS SHOW LOW JUST BECAUSE PARK MIN YOUNG ISN'T WITH PARK SEO JOON, WATCH THE OTHER DRAMAS THEY HAVE TOGETHER. DON'T BE BIAS IN YOUR JUDGEMENTS BECAUSE OF IT.
Everyone has different chemistry and I think everything was portrayed as it should be.
Maybe I loved this show bc I was able to relate to it in many ways. It hit me different. The setting was perfect. The plot was realistic and thought through.
I felt that the sound tracks were a bit lacking though. I just didn't felt it much. I wasn't touched enough to listen to it again.
Overall, I loved it. I would recommend it if you want some break, it isn't 100% feel-good though. It was refreshing for me. It was warm. I think I'll remember this show. And I would definitely rewatch it again.

Settle in for a cozy, comforting winter's thaw into spring
Prepare to sink slowly into the gentle snowdrift that is this show, the gentle coming together of the OTP, and crazy good and heartwarming of the entire cast. It's slower-moving, but I loved it for the stunning cinematography, the music, the quietness - and the book club! It sometimes uses the stories they discuss as a plot device, too. Some surprise twists, and Hae-won's aunt and Eun-soeb's little sister both steal practically every scene they're in. It tackles serious and dark issues but also makes space for vulnerability and care with gentle humor and steadfastness. The changing of the season from winter into spring is a subtle allegory for the transformation of many characters in this show and is done very well. The use of sound (including silence) in this drama is outstanding - it's almost like its own character, such is its presence. The best OST hands-down of any drama I've ever watched.
This has been classed as a "healing drama" and while I can't say I experienced that, I definitely found myself more emotionally involved than I expected. I would love to read the book if its ever translated.
