one of the best melodrama this 2020
Both Seo Kang Joon and Park Min Young justified their skills and talent in acting and also Lee Jae Wook, this drama is so satisfying to watch because of the calmness of the settings and also the plot itself which is romantic-melodrama. Also, the OST's is super beautiful to hear and all the casts did very well! Congratulations to team I'll Go To You When The Weather Is Fine! a very heartwarming drama this 2020!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

An under rated K-series
"When the Weather Is Fine" is a beautifully crafted series that often flies under the radar, yet it deserves far more recognition than it receives. The show delicately weaves a story filled with innocent emotions and poignant moments, making it a standout in the realm of romantic dramas. The performances of both the male and female leads are particularly noteworthy. They bring a depth and authenticity to their characters that is truly captivating. Their chemistry radiates warmth, and their slow-burn romance unfolds in a way that feels both genuine and refreshing. It’s a reminder that love doesn’t always need grand gestures; sometimes, the simplest moments are the most profound.
The series also touches on domestic issues, but it does so with a light touch that prevents it from becoming overly preachy. This balance allows the narrative to remain focused on the characters and their emotional journeys rather than being weighed down by heavy themes. The gentle exploration of life’s complexities only adds to the series' charm, inviting viewers to reflect without feeling overwhelmed.
Overall, "When the Weather Is Fine" is a treasure that beautifully encapsulates the essence of love and human connection. It’s a romantic slow burn that warms the heart, making it a must-watch for anyone seeking a heartfelt series that captures the intricacies of life and relationships.

this show surprised me
I was not expecting this but I am so pleased.Sometimes warm, sometimes heartwrenching, sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter... it was a rollercoaster of emotions.
Got really attached to the hometown and almost all of the characters I am going to miss some of them dearly. The actors did such an incredible job I was amazed by all of them, even the small roles.
In conclusion, such a classic! A k-drama staple which is worth to rematch for comfort <3
The couple also had a lot of chemistry which sometimes can be hard for slow slice of life k-dramas but they made my heart beat so fast!!

good but expected more…
i was looking for a winter-y kdrama and this is one of the most recommended dramas i found on reddit… everyone said it was super good/one of their favorites and so i thought it had to be a 10/10.the show was nice, it was cute, but i got bored for half of the show… personally i think it could’ve been more like 12 episodes. maybe i went in expecting TOO much from it. the only plot lines i didnt get annoyed with were jangwu and im hui’s stories. i thought they were both adorable and brought fun.

Quiet and slow drama which is perfect for book lovers
This drama is really different. The main character is the small town, in a sense. There's a quietness and slowness and an overall ambience in this one, it's very controlled in an artistic sense. The drama uses a lot of season metaphors, and as a season it's definitely November with November feelings. Cinematography is beautiful. The drama is slow so I felt it was better to also watch slowly, some 15-20 mins a day. That way I could enjoy the townspeople interactions, and the range of characters. Lee Jae Wook's acting and character were particularly delighful.
What also was really likeable and fun, was the book club, with the old and young members mixing. And the bookshop as a setting, cosy and warm. In contrast FL's house and family were cold and icy.
The two main characters past and traumas were less interesting to me than the townspeople scenes. The drama wasn't really that romantic - I had expected more and the romance was kind of empty (purposefully and in line with the psychology and past of ML & FL characters but still something of a letdown). I didn't fully understand the main characters, especially the ML remained a mystery. This is because we get to learn about the main characters and the two families' past very slowly. The past comes to light mostly in the latter half.
So this takes a lot of patience and it's not for moments when we need entertainment or quick rewards. It's a perfect drama for book lovers and I definitely didn't waste my time putting an effort to watch such a different drama.

I actually ended up watching When the Weather is Fine during the summer, but it was such a perfect cozy show that I’m going to have to do a rewatch in the winter. I was shocked at how much I loved this one from the beginning because it’s very slow but it was so atmospheric and beautiful that it really drew in. The cinematography of this show is gorgeous, the winter scenes especially. This show was an introvert’s dream. It takes place in a small bookstore during winter, the town moves at a slower pace and the characters are more reserved. The scenes in the bookstore felt so cozy and comforting. The main characters are both quieter and more introverted but they really open up throughout the show. The romance was extremely sweet and their evolution from acquaintances to friends to lovers was beautifully done. Eun-seop could come off as cold or indifferent but it became clear that he just struggled with expressing his emotions. He did so many little things to show Hae-won how much he cared for her. The bookstore blog posts that they put at the ends of the episodes added so much to the story and you got to see everything from Eun-seop’s perspective. Those little bits made me fall in love with him. Even though Eun-seop fell first, Hae-won was the one moving the relationship forward. Her character was willing to put it all out there when it came to love and Eun-seop really needed that. I was so invested in their relationship.
The storyline with the mother felt kind of boring at first but it ended up going in an interesting direction. There were a lot of great side characters, especially Eun-seop’s family. The one character that I truly hated was Hae-won’s ex best friend. I’m glad the show did not entertain a true love triangle but she was such a terrible and deeply self-centered character.
I loved this show and can’t wait to watch it again while it’s snowing outside. This is absolutely a show to be enjoyed during the winter. Even if you usually like slower shows, this one is still worth a shot.

Looks aesthetic but so boring
I didn't like this one. It started off as a small town healing drama with lovely cozy things like a bookstore and coffee and feelings of warmth and friendship. And it all slowly started going downhill after a few episodes. Both ML and FL have some hidden past traumas. The FL family is highly dysfunctional for good reason. Side characters are nice but ultimately not memorable. Ending was quite disappointing, the ML seems to be at a constant disadvantage in the relationship and it didn't feel healthy at all. Nobody knows what eventually happened to the aunt or mom, whether they found their peace. Very underwhelming and boring for the time invested. Best watched in mute for the aesthetics and nothing else.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Good Enough
" I'll go to you when the weather is nice " was like reading a slice of life book. The setting was perfect, with the winter scenery, the rural area, the forest and the small town with the cozy bookstore. The drama worked with the light really well and kept that rustic, authentic appeal till the very ending. The pace was relaxing, as well, slow and perfect, even though the family drama was intense. The latter was introduced slowly too, with a few scenes here and there to keep things interesting till the ultimate climax. The portray of the emotions of the characters then was just spot on, as they didn't overdo it with the understanding and their reactions. Rather, they were ordinary humans who react selfishly, awkwardly and disappointingly. The drama also followed not only the two main leads, but their families and friends' stories as well. Especially the story of the aunt was pretty great. Finally, the romance was good, not too intense and just right for the mood of the drama.
However, the drama had some boring moments, especially towards the ending, when it felt like they were trying to fill in the gaps between the actual action. Still, the performances were great from everyone, as it is expected from a stellar cast (at a point it felt like a Extraordinary you reunion ha ha), and the drama did feel like it is a book adaption.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

SMALL TOWN CHARM: A HEARTWARMING JOURNEY OF HEALING AND LOVE
"When the Weather Is Fine" was slow and calm, like a peaceful meditation. It was nice to see what life is like in a small town that feels like home, a place where everyone knows each other and looks out for one another. People are always there to greet you with a warm smile and a familiar story. The story in this drama unfolded naturally, too. It's a story about love, regret, and healing. It brought to the forefront that life isn't just about what's obvious but also about what's going on under the surface that we don't always see or talk about.Mok Hae Won, a cello teacher, decides to leave the big city of Seoul and move to a quiet town to live with her aunt. Her arrival rekindles old flames and unresolved emotions, especially for Lim Eun Seop, who has quietly loved her from afar for years. Mok Hae Won is a character I couldn’t help but root for, especially when she was dealing with the tough stuff from her past. Her mom just got out of jail for killing her abusive husband, and they don't get along, so there's a lot of tension there. The drama shows their complicated mother-daughter relationship. It's honest and true to life and talks about how hard forgiveness can be and how past trauma affects the present.
Lim Eun Seop, on the other hand, is a character who keeps to himself. He really likes Hae Won but doesn't tell her how he feels, even when he has the chance. It was sweet to see how much he cared, but it was also annoying that he wasn't saying anything. The drama does a great job of showing us what was really going on inside his head. It slowly revealed his hidden fears and insecurities—fear of losing anything that brings him warmth and happiness because of the abandonment and loss in his past, which explained why he was the way he was.
The other characters, like the bubbly and extroverted Lee Jang Woo and the manipulative but pitiable Kim Bo Yeong, make the story even more interesting. Jang Woo’s cheerful and outgoing personality is the opposite of Eun Seop’s reserved and quiet nature. Bo Yeong’s complicated emotions toward Hae Won and Eun Seop also add tension to the story. She's a complicated character who feels really sorry for what she's done. She wants to be forgiven so badly, and that makes her story really interesting, even though she's not always easy to like.
One of the standout aspects of this series is the book club that the characters participate in. The drama was full of book references that made it even more engaging. The book club meetings were like a mirror for the characters. When they read from the books, it was like they were seeing themselves in the stories. It helped them understand their own lives better.
The drama did have its ups and downs, though. Lim Eun Seop’s reluctance to confess his feelings and his hot-and-cold behavior toward Hae Won was really frustrating. Just when you think he’s finally ready to open up, he pulls back. Even though he was acting weird and making me frustrated, we start to understand why when we learn more about his past. It turns out he has a really bad memory from the past that's making him scared, which explains his behavior.
Hae Won and Eun Seop's relationship took its time to develop, but it was definitely amazing when it did. Their love story, when it finally started, was really cute and sweet. However, there was always a little bit of sadness in the back of Eun Seop's mind, especially because Hae Won's time to return to Seoul was drawing near. It starts out as a love story, but there’s a lot more going on. It’s about letting go of old hurts, forgiving people, and realizing how much love is actually around us.
Eun Seop's sad story starts to feel really hopeful. He used to be scared and alone, but now he's starting to realize that his family loves him very much, even though they adopted him. It was great to see him finally feel loved and accepted. In the end, the story is really about people and their emotions. It's a nice, calm story that shows us what it means to be human. It's a story about the hurt we hold onto, the barriers we put up, and how love can make things better, even when we're scared to trust it. If you like stories that take their time and focus on the characters, you’ll really enjoy this one. Expect a few bumps in the road, though.

Enjoy at first but i dont get the feel after second half
from the start of the drama I liked it until episode 7-8 I don't know why it felt bland and too complicated the relationship between ML and FL and I skipped a lot of scenes until episode 15 when they separated and episode 16 they met and were together again I don't know why but this drama didn't get a deep passion for romance when I watched it, or you could say that there was more character development from the ml and fl side, changing their views into a better life than the romance. I've seen a lot of romance, but this melodrama, I don't know why I just don't get the feeling.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
