This faithfulness not only honors the original creator's vision but also deeply resonates with those who have closely followed the story.The Legend of Warriors has done an excellent job with its casting, selecting actors who suit the iconic characters of Soul Land. As an anime fan, I’m enjoying this live-action adaptation. For those new to anime, I hope the series sparks their interest in exploring the original anime. While it’s challenging for any live-action adaptation to fully capture the depth and intricacies of its source material, The Legend of Warriors has managed to convey the story and spirit of Soul Land.
I'm really happy that the creators of The Legend of Warriors stayed true to the original plot and brought to life a live-action version of an anime I love. While it isn’t perfect, it’s understandable, considering the Soul Land anime spans 263 episodes, whereas the live-action drama is condensed into just 38 episodes.
In contrast to the previous adaptation, the Douluo Continent (DC) adaptation deviates significantly from the original story. It is not a true adaptation of Soul Land but rather a story loosely inspired by it, using the characters while making considerable changes to the plot. Fans who enjoy DC can still appreciate it as a separate work, but it’s best to view it independently from the original Soul Land and TLOW.
I really recommend this drama especially for donghua/anime lover like me.

Finally the live action of Soul Land that I am satisfied with.It does justice to :-
- the original novel
- Tang San’s character
- the Donghua
- all the original story line details
And the best, at certain moments they have used the soundtrack from the donghua…!

Indeed well acted, well directed, good production and every event in this arc has been given an appropriate amount of time and attention. Nowhere does the story drag.
I hope the continuation will be as good as this one!

Worth it
This series is fun and interesting from the first battle. The lead characters did well together along with villains. Great cgi and set. Its uniquely different from the usual stuff out there even thought it does follow the heroes journey. My own thoughts on lead role acting
I’ve been a huge fan of this story for a long time. I read the book in one sitting, watched the anime, and even checked out the first drama adaptation of Douluo Continent. Honestly, while I loved Xiao Zhan as Tang San and Wu Xuanyi as Xiao Wu in the first series (they were fantastic!), I was a bit let down by how they adjusted some of the characters.So, going into this new version, I was skeptical—especially about Zhang Yu Xi as Xiao Wu. But wow, she nailed it! She completely surpassed my expectations and even topped my own imagination of what Xiao Wu should be like. On the other hand, Zhou Yi Ran as Tang San didn’t fully click for me. Don’t get me wrong—he’s an amazing actor (I’ve loved him in other series), but as Tang San? I wasn’t fully sold.
It might not even be his fault, though. Maybe the director or writers wanted him to approach the role this way. But for me, Tang San always had this subtle, reserved charm—like he keeps most of his emotions in check, except when it comes to Xiao Wu. Zhou Yi Ran’s portrayal felt a bit off at times, with expressions that didn’t match what I imagined Tang San would give in those moments.
And let me just say—the biggest disappointment for me? No blue hair after Tang San’s second awakening! That blue hair is such an iconic part of his character for me, and its absence felt like a big miss.
Overall, though, the show was pretty solid. Sure, a lot was cut or changed from the book and anime, but that’s expected with a TV adaptation. I get that tweaks have to be made, and I’m still happy with how it turned out.
Massive kudos to Zhang Yu Xi for her portrayal of Xiao Wu—she was phenomenal! Now, I’m just eagerly waiting for the final installment of the story.

It's really really good
First of all, I have not read the novel, manhwa or watched the animation. Many people are comparing this with a different show which has ultimately very loose connection with this show. It is a standalone show with great cast.Acting is very good 👍. Each character, even if they are there for a few scenes throughout the series have put their efforts. Main leads shine very much.
The first few episodes are bit rushed out. But then the pacing was perfect and super enjoyable. Ultimately, I loved this show very much.
I wish they make second season of this because it kind of end at a major plot point.. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
(I have only watched the last episode of that earlier show. That felt very shallow and disconnected. This is much enjoyable in every aspect. No connection with that show imo)

I am going to skip commenting on the VFX and CGI since I started this with no expectations.. Honestly it might not have been perfect but it was good.. Some fight scenes were absolutely fluid and intense.. Most people might not feel the same but I liked the Netherworld Arc the most.. The visuals of the drama were great and some of the costumes were beautiful.. " Some "
Xu Jia Qi as Hu Lie Na was really impressive.. The supporting cast was excellent and their chemistry and portrayal of friendship were great.. As for the main couple and the romance.. It was minimal but it was still sweet and the chemistry was alright.. I am hoping for more development in the next part..
The Sea God arc has definitely piqued my curiosity and there is still a war to fight.. I hope the entire cast returns for the next season and I hope there is another season.. We didnt get any closure in this season for sure..
While I can’t compare this to other adaptations The land of warriors had some well written scenes and action sequences and some wonderful visuals.. Certainly worth the watch..

"A Found Family" which prevails throughout all challenges!
I watched this drama without any knowledge of the donghua or Douluo Continent. Before starting to watch this I was a little concerned because of the change of the cast. To replace an actor like Xiao Zhan with Zhou Yi Ran seemed to me quite gutsy. Yet the cast here did really well and Zhou Yi Ran and Zhang Yu Xi were great in portraying Tang San and Xiao Wu. As I didn't watch such game and anime like dramas before, there were some aspects I had to get used to. But the story, cast and the realization of the fantasy and soul-ability elements is good and I got hooked within the first episodes and stayed until the end without skipping or fast forwarding. Especially the friendship between the Seven Devils, who form a "found family" throughout the whole story, even when they are not together, made this drama for me a very valuable watch. I craved such a "family" after watching "The Blood of Youth" and "Fangs of Fortune", which I can highly recommend!Now I even started to watch the donghua as I got hooked with the very good story. The song :"Confused", became one of my favored songs. I liked the drama very much and can recommend it. So just watch The Land of Warriors and build your own opinion. It's really underrated!

Avengers Movie in a chinese style
PLOT: A group of 7 former elite students of a small martial arts academy (the heroes) win a competition despite the dominant sect (and its evil queen). After graduating, they must separate to evolve/improve, but they meet again 5 years later in their fight against the great villains (who want to dominate and control the world).+++ Super quality CGI.
+++ Very beautiful cinematography, with fight scenes worthy of the Avengers.
+++ Very good actors
### story a little repetitive, with lengths. The series is very long (adaptation of 1 manga + animated trilogy: Douluo Continent & The land of warriors, at the moment). ).
### Little romance (4 couples, but few sweet scenes).
=> Despite the casting, I only went to the end with my FF friend (sorry to the fans)
