okay i genuinely have been loving this more than other better rated action shows like Cruel City and The K2. Cruel City especially, bored me out of my wits!i got so excited a couple episodes ago when Choi Ye Won (Argos chairwoman) flirted with Kang Gi Beom and asked him whether she can call him just to hear his voice, which kinda shocked him LOL. i was puzzled too that she always seemed so indifferent to him when he's such a hottie, and suddenly she showed interest on him out of nowhere LMAO. this was more unexpected and believable for me than when the Song Yoon-Ah's character in The K2 tried to lure JCW's character as her lover (since both of them are not single/available).but i completed ep. 12 and now the b*tch seems to want to join force with Hwang Deok Gu instead to crush Rugal, when she was the one who contacted Rugal team first to crush Deok Gu. i really can't read this b*tch, i just hope she dies a painful death and goes to hell.
wow. the girl being this stupid really opens up ways for people around her to screw her over and over. the girl inmate who probably got jealous of the mother-son bonding that she made it look like the FL has been physically abusing her child, and got him taken away. what a b*tch.then the ML who offered the bastard boyfriend to approve/disapprove her parole in exchange of his career advancement. true enough the bastard chooses himself. the ML thinking that he can make friends with SML because he keeps showing his real side, not knowing he's the bastard who killed his lover.i really love the pacing of this drama, it's very fast. this is the first melodrama i am watching that doesn't drag on the mellow, but uses it very intelligently so we can relate to the FL suffering. other viewers are angry that she's this stupid but i am really rooting for her. i also really love the actress in this, i can't imagine someone else playing her. she's really good and the scenes when she cries out for her child really breaks my heart. this was probably her best role to-date considering i hated her acting in KMHM.two things i am really interested to see:1. for the FL to be smarter and as badass as the SFL, lol.2. for the ML's world to come crashing down like being hit by a white truck of doom when he finds out who actually killed his lover. he's utterly pathetic. both men are, i can't stand the SML more.
can't believe how easily Sang Min oppa curdled milk to make cheese LOL, and the way he puts pomegranate into the cheese and eat with a toast, wow. i thought i was watching a cooking show for a second. also love how he's a cat parent to two cuties though he lives so frugally since pets are not cheap to raise. he's amazing! also loved when Tony Ahn visited his friend's house with 3 kids (2 daughters and 1 son), and then they fought because he didn't buy the same gift (princess dress for the girls). finally the girls stopped sulking when he brought over a huge chocolate fondue fountain LOL. what a really nice uncle to the kids!
Sang Min literally moved out of a huge apartment that he rented cheaply because he agreed to the owner's condition not to install air-conditioner, then moved to share a space inside an apartment duplex of one of his creditors LOL. actually the space is big enough but he has so many stuffs with him that it gets messy. i love how the moms are rooting for him because he works so hard. also the first clip of Tony Ahn and his housemates going for a spicy stew challenge level 4 (spicy) LOL. i love how savage the moms are at calling their sons idiot on TV when they fully deserve it, LMAO.
gosh, my heart breaks many times over while watching this.first off, i am enjoying Ji Sung who plays a rotten brat who only knows how to waste money LOL. turned out he is rebelling against his father who rejected his lover and wanted to marry his son off for business.and that hit and run accident. i feel so sad that the guy who drove the car came out to check on the girl who he crashed over, but he left her there and lied to his girlfriend about hitting an object instead. because of his cowardness, that woman was left to die in the rain for 3 hours, and died shortly after in the hospital. and she was pregnant too. he as a prosecutor, should know better than anyone else. it makes me so angry that he did that. it's true that if it was the girl who ran the woman over, she would never have run away.you can say that the FL is beyond stupid for trusting her boyfriend too much, supporting him financially with her hard-earned money and now pleading guilt for something she's innocent for. but to me it's not unrealistic, because i could be one LOL (no joke).i for one know how it feels to love someone else more than you love yourself, and when things fall apart, your world come crushing down and it feels like nothing else is left in your life that is worth fighting for anymore.some people would think, it doesn't make sense. but for me, it does because some people really are 'stupid' or stupidly in love like that, until they learned their lesson the hardest way.i also liked the way her boyfriend's character was written. he's a coward yes, but not a straight up asshole who uses her without guilt, yet. he did propose to her after 7 years of dating even though he went to the blind date that his mom arranged, and you can also see how hard it's been for him to watch his woman take the fall on his behalf. i am now really interested to see how/where the writer-nim will take this.
yasss. it was a good call going back again to when Lee Sang Min first joined the show, and when his mom was on the seat as well. i watched the latest episodes and they kept talking about his debt, but never knew how much he owed. now i know he had 6.98 million dollars in debt left in mid-2017, and not sure he has paid how much and i read somewhere that it also cost him his marriage (he divorced because of it). also it was interesting when he excitedly shared about the super cheap deals he got online from monthly promotions, like things that sell very cheaply on 3 am on the 3rd of March and how he bought things usually at RRP of several dollars at several cents only, or how he bought a bag priced 35 dollars at 33 cents LOL. i have seen how frugal Kim Jong Kook is because of how he was brought up, but Lee Sang Min literally had to climb his way back again and lived very frugally because of his massive debt. i appreciated learning about KJK's thrifty habits, but i find Lee Sang Min's frugal ways more relatable LOL. i am so glad that i could watch and learn from him especially since things are getting tougher on most of us financially. he's also a good cook from latest episodes i have seen which KJK is not, and i have already gotten some ideas from him. he's literally fine with laying bare his life on TV for people to judge freely (re: knetz) despite such a major flaw/drawback in his life. i don't think other people can easily do that. he's awesome LOL, i really respect him!
the unexpected bromance between Park Goon and the other guy from UDT, lol. they literally have 20kg difference in body weight, so he obviously entered the ring with a huge disadvantage but he really put up a good fight. also, the jerk from 707 unit who mocked soldiers from the other units in ep. 1 seemed to have dropped out (saw the news that he did, but not sure at what episode). still have a negative impression of 707 unit because of that a**hole, but if he left already then i have no reason to feel that way LOL. also, seems like everyone else shows good sportsmanship which is really nice to see.
episode that sums up pretty much why i have such a strong attachment towards Voice series. the night shoot at the forest with story of a human who acts like an animal because of severe childhood abuse, also the story of the desperation of a mother who lost her precious son and how by the end of it, when she thought she was gonna die from freefall and lose conciousness, the gentle dog she set free from the captive found her, licked her face out of faintness and alerted the police officers of her position. later on she saw the dog and promised to adopt her and live a happier life together. also how Det. Derek Jo allowed the sick man to bite him twice while talking to him calmly that he should move on now from his violent tendencies. i really cried like a baby in this episode. the very suspenseful element was well maintained too throughout the episode. one of my fave episodes ever in k-dramaland.
when you watch it for the first time it's kinda funny, but actually it's the kind of situation that is so absurd that laughing it off would be better to steam off the anger, LOL. in that sense, i kinda get how dumbfounded KJK got in that scene, aigoo. by the end of it, he didn't succeed at making jajangmyeon but made sujebi in instant jajangmyeon sauce instead, kekeke. that whole mess, gahh i cringe so hard.
OMG, the legendary episode when Kim Jong Min came over to KJK's house to cook him jajangmyeon with hand-pulled noodles and dried squid LOL. he's way too brave to do that in KJK house where he's so stingy and mindful about not wasting stuffs or making a mess, kekeke.
ep. 81daebak! this was like the perfect episode.1. Park Soo Hong and Hong Jin Young were playing video game in his house (i.e. bedroom) when his father suddenly entered into the house and saw them. then they immediately had a meal together. it was so awkward LOL but it was nice seeing her win the father's heart so easily like that. it was so funny LOL because his wife (one of the mom in the panel) started to get frustrated that he didn't just leave after dropping some food and made the girl uncomfortable, kekeke. i also feel like it's fun watching the moms badmouthing their husbands on the show because you get a good gist of what marriage life is like after decades have passed. they even freely admitted to hating on their husbands on national tv, haha!2. KJK suddenly had to get a surgery for his hernia. no wonder they showed how hard he was pumping weights two episodes ago, this was a continuation from that scene. i learned that if you exercise too hard and exert too much pressure into your stomach, your internal organ can burst or get dislocated from its position, geez. and he wears a really tight waist belt to reduce pressure on his back pain whenever he lift those weights. then the surgeon came and said that operating on him was easy because there was little visceral fat, kekeke. good to know that about a medical procedure. also as he was lying down on bed after the surgery, he was thinking about his mom who had to undergo surgery for her cancer sometime ago. that's when he started to mature quickly and brought his mom with him whenever he had schedule overseas. i actually think it was a blessing that he's still not married because that way, he can travel around with his mom freely. alsothe doctor reminded him that he shouldn't do heavy exercises for 6 weeks, but after the surgeon carefully explained that it's a precautionary measure, he started to cheekily think of cutting it short to 3 weeks only LMAO! my man is in full misery mode when he can't exercise, kekeke.3. Sang Min who had a letter from court that the automatic transfer of his income towards his creditors has finally been lifted, and now he can just pay his creditors himself. he tried applying for a credit card but got rejected by the bank because his name is still recorded on Korea Credit Information Service. not sure what happened to him financially but i have grown a lot of liking for Sang Min. i think he's someone i can learn a lot from that i feel like i also need to watch his parts since he joined the show. must have not been easy to open up your flaws to the public so freely like that.gahh i fckin love this show. these people are definitely worthy of my time.
kekeke. thank God, Sang Min took Jae Hoon to a nice crab buffet dinner because they both didn't eat properly the whole day LOL. the giant crab looked so delicious OMG. also, didn't know that KJK had two long-term relationships, one for 7 years and the other one 6 years. the way he admitted that it was his mistake for making the girl wait for too long because he wanted to get stable first, and being the reason for their breakup is really sad though. may he finds his destined life partner soon.
the legendary episode where KJK was working out at the gym and pumping insane weights and growling, LOL! and that post workout quick shower scene at the gym, wow my man is smoking hot!!! also his chicken breast smoothie, gahhh. love Song Ji Hyo in this episode and how the mom's fight to win over her, keke. when people say some celebrities are a lot prettier in real life, i get really curious OMG. how to be that lucky.
aigoo, i feel pain watching Sang Min treating Tak Jae Hoon like that during their trip to Sapporo, LOL. they came to a snowfield to do ice fishing because Sang Min drove them there, but Jae Hoon doesn't even wear socks, didn't have a proper meal beforehand and he is not even interested in fishing during winter so he's all sullen and angry but Sang Min literally didn't care. i feel so bad for him, if i am in his place i'd be super annoyed too, geez.
i loved when KJK explained that his biggest expenses is on food, not really what he eats for himself but the food that he buys for other people. also loved how he explained that he's buying the cheap furniture for his new house, but he'll buy the ones that are very long-lasting when he finally gets married. what a great guy!
