i am rooting for Detective Dok Go Young! ^^

okay this drama is really good. i watched this for LJW, and LJW only and i am really enjoying his character. as a detective, he's fearless, sharp and quick-witted, also kinda funny and very quirky LOL. he plays it so well, and sometimes he's really cute/childish LOL so fckin adorable! ^^but the way the writer is giving us some scenes where he's kinda teasing or flirting with the FL. i don't know LOL, i am not really buying it maybe because of the age gap. i can't tell whether he's only fooling around, or does he legit think she's attractive? i mean when he teases her saying she's cold AF, she just gives him the death stare, kekeke. i wished the FL actress is someone who's around his age.actually in terms of plot, there's nothing much to go gaga about. we already know who the bad guys are and how despicable they are, though we still don't know who's the real killer and why he killed that person. so in terms of this drama being a crime story, the suspense and thriller factor is a bit weak though tagged as such. but the characters are interesting because these are literally all very experienced actors with great accolades so they really know how to hook you into the story.i wanna know how this drama changes when the FL actress dropped out and is changed to someone else, LOL. what a fckin mess.

getting more interesting and badass now, let's gooo! ^^

hahaha. LJW's detective character here is half funny, half quirky LOL i just love it. he's literally just a normal guy trying to do his job properly until the villains here sent down his way several gangsters to destroy his car that actually has a great sentimental value to him, and run him over in the wrecked car to the point he could have died. luckily he survived and now he's a fierce man on a mission to take down the bad guys. these psychopathic bastards really messed with the wrong guy this time.Dok Go detective-nim, fighting!!!

RIP my poor heart :(

fck it. the writer is really not playing games here.this episode was so fckin heavy :(when Crown Prince's Eunuch got poisoned and died after sending his last message to Prince and the King, saying that if he does not kill the Deputy Chief Han with his own hands, everyone around him will be killed by the Pyunsoo Group.the way Crown Prince embraced him after he breathed his last, that was so fckin painful.we also see that Hwa Gom and her loyal swordsman saw how the Prince was grieving and hurting, and then she told him to keep the Crown Prince secret from her grandfather, and that protecting the Prince's life is the same as protecting hers.amazing. from someone who i cannot stand just one episode before, the SFL is now completely grabbing my attention. i think this is going to be the most intense and well-written SFL for a love triangle i have ever seen in kdramaland.also i loved how the King really tried to kick some senses into the Crown Prince's head and explained to him that it was his rash actions that costed the lives of the Eunuch and Deputy Chief Han. so the Crown Prince rebelled and said that he doesn't ask to be born and take after all those burden, and that the King should have just left him to die when he was poisoned as a baby, instead of relenting to the power of Pyungsoo Group to save his son. and that to be able to annul the death execution of Deputy Chief Han (Ga Eun's father), the Crown Prince offers to willingly surrenders himself to Pyungsoo Group, irrespective of whether or not they'll kill him. well of course it doesn't work that way, and the fact that he was born as a Crown Prince and the future King of Joseon is his own damned destiny to bear.//the early writing of this Crown Prince character here reminds me of the writing for the male leads in Warrior Baek Dong Soo, The Royal Gambler and The Crowned Clown. the shock factor that the ML had to go through for proper character development is unimaginably crazy.what a damn good ride this is gonna be :(

lead couple and Jin Hee's story is very interesting!

wow, this has got to be the most realistic love stories i have watched to-date. the balance for its dynamics is really great. it presents itself not too seriously but there's a lot of depth in it. THE KIND OF WRITING I LOVE!first, we have the lead couple. as i commented before, they vibrate similar sexual energy but their values don't match. they are the most perfect epitome of ex-lovers i have seen who might be better off as friends if one of them is totally done with the relationship and moved on to someone else. problem is both of them are still single after 3 years, and they are both sexually frustrated in their 30s. so being friends with benefits make sense in their situation.now, if only human's feelings is that simple...problem is, they broke up because he vehemently refuses the idea of marriage, and she wants that so badly. that actually means on her side, she has never stopped loving him. we know that from her many monologues, but they haven't given us anything concrete about his. what's his real issues exactly? we don't know anything yet.but they got pretty generous this episode. we got a monologue of his where the previous writer hoobae who got frustrated that he totally changed her scenario, is now being scouted to work under him. and that escalated quickly too, since now the hoobae is also interested in him. so when she stayed at their house, she sleepwalked into his bedroom and laid down on his bed when he's shirtless and already about to sleep LOL. so his monologue was that, no matter the intention or whether or not he does nothing all night, he'd be touted as a sexual harasser. so he left quietly to sleep in the sofa at the living room, LOL.i think the casting for this drama is just perfect. the FL is not the sexy type though she's pretty (she's a bit too skinny and not curvy) so that became an issue and she got jealous with the hoobae girl who's taller, younger, more curvy (in physicality), and also very straightforward (in personality) LOL.however, i liked that the FL is totally not giving in to the hoobae's request to make way for her even though between them there's nothing concrete to seal a relationship. so she finally went brutally honest with him and told him that she has never stopped loving him, and that she wants to end their sexual-partner relationship right away and move on to proper dating. he didn't answer but later that night, he asked whether she wants to sleep together and she consented. as i said before, he comes across as really mysterious and unreadable at times but also quite simplistic actually. he still wants her, but we just don't know by how much.//we also get the dynamics in the female's trio friendship. Jin Hee is the naive type who finds it hard to enjoy sex with her current partner. and then there's Jae Kyung who's the most liberal of them, who we found out at the end of this episode, has been cheating on her husband with her ex-lover who she dumped to marry someone else. she's acting like a total s*** LOL. but her husband is not one without vengeance, so he got someone to tail on her, and then she got into an accident with her boyfriend. as i said earlier, this drama has a really good balance in the dynamics in the love stories it tells, and is nicely represented by the trio friends who are the epitome of someone very liberal/progressive, someone who's somewhat middle-ground and someone who's rather conservative. it'd be so interesting to see how the writer takes all of their stories from here.

that went down real quick, NOOOOO :(

okay. the heartbreak in this drama is no child's play.the commoner Lee Sun's father who stole water from the Bureau of Water Supply was taken for trial by them, and was about to have his wrist cut off. Crown Prince in-disguise ordered the Deputy Magistrate of Central District Office to take over, and it became a huge dispute. so he then came in person to get the man to be released. unfortunately in the same episode the father was later kidnapped and killed :(Commoner Lee Sun about to avenge the death of his father by killing the person, but the Crown Prince stopped him, and also left him his amulet as a sign of promise to settle this by the law.episode ended when the bad guys found the boys including the Crown Prince and tries to kidnap him. goshh.//honestly i felt so heartbroken when commoner Lee Sun was grieving his father's murder, and that acting on his part was really good. no one saw it coming, and true enough it would have been better to lose a limb than lose his life entirely but who would have thought that was going to escalate so quickly. the kind of injustices that weak people go through in this world is very maddening :(not much opinion about that b*tch who broke into Crown Prince's residence and saw his face from ep. 1. but i think her character will be an important one, so i am looking forward to that.

i am shooketh by how confronting and brutally honest this drama presents itself, LOL!

okay the brutally honest and upfront approach of this drama is very charming and a breath of fresh air, LOL!mainly comes from the character of the second BFF of the FL who's very brutally honest and realistic. she's the one who's already married to a rich guy but has a dysfunctional marriage in a sense that her husband is a cheater, and after years of marriage she still doesn't divorce him because his wealth and status benefits her, and they sleep separately but at the same time she also cheats on him in return LOL. what a fckin mess.then the other best friend of hers, she's kinda the naive type, and is not adventurous enough in the bedroom, but her boyfriend is not one without fault, because it seems like he fails to satisfy her during their intimate sessions LOL and he keeps pushing her to make more efforts. what a jerk.on the other hand we have our lead couple who vibrates similar sexual energy, and has been dating each other for 12 years since high school (childhood bestie), but totally broken up and stayed friends since 3 years ago.these days she's sexually frustrated of being single in her 30s and not getting laid LOL, so his simple and usual skinship triggers her erogenous zones, haha. after getting the advice from her second BFF about just being upfront with him about wanting one-night-stand, then she spat it out, and at the end of ep. 2, he accepted and they had sex.in the beginning of ep. 3, she woke up without him on the bedside, as he had left to watch a movie alone that he has booked earlier. frustrated with that, they clarified their status and both agreed to just be "friends with benefits", a.k.a. sexual partners with no strings attached.all the while we also get glimpses about how she still loves him, but their values problematically don't match. he's the kind of person who refuses the idea of marriage at all costs, and she's someone who wants to settle down. basically two people who are not bound to last.i particularly liked the narrations and flashbacks to their previous 2 breakups so far (they broke up 5 times and reconciled 5 times in total before calling it quits). the first time was when she spat out the word "let's break up" to him out of anger, thinking he will console her, but he didn't so it just went on like that. and the second time was when he desperately needed a time-alone, and she didn't understand it or respected it and she forced him to be with her right away, and when he refused, she broke up with him.these two incidents easily hit home with me, LOL. i was with my first boyfriend when i was as this childish (and rightfully young), and it got tiring because the break up was more than i could count LOL.honestly, the kind of narrations that we get to their previous breakups are only from her POV. i would really love it if they can also give us a glimpse of what he felt at the time during their previous breakups too, i think it'd help shed some light on the man's inner thoughts. also, we had a scene where he works as a screenwriter, and at one night, there's a new upcoming writer who came to his house being all upset about how her serious medical drama script got butchered into a rom-com in a hospital setting. and he was acting very cool-headed and nonchalant about reworking the script according to the request by the production company without protesting that decision in one bit.there's definitely more to his character. i personally find his character to be interestingly mysterious and complex, at the same time quite simple-minded, and i really hope they flesh out enough about him. jebal writer-nim!

Each episode is a roller coaster of emotions WTF, let us breathe :(

Daebak! The scheming and backstabbing in this drama is pretty insane. There are 4 people who are ready to cut off each other's throats LOL:1. Min Jae2. Black (Cha Ji Won)3. Baek Don Seo 4. Seo Jin TakAnd their scheming are pretty sophisticated, so you never know who'll make the first move next, and how. The writing is really good. Also, last episode Seu Wan kissed Black first after he followed her from being taken away to Baek Don Seo's residence. And then he kissed her back. He finally accepted her feelings because his ex lover told him that she's pregnant with Min Jae's child. (Plot twist: i wouldn't make it past Min Jae to bribe the doctor to lie to his wife about being pregnant to stop her from divorcing him, because the doctor is suspicious as hell LOL).Also immediately after they kissed, he drove her back in his car, and he hold her hand. And then she lets her hands slide off his grip out of shyness, and then he teased her about how she always kissed him first LOL. And then he assures her that it was her who gave him reason to live, only that he realizes it late. Auwhh. ❤❤❤❤(The way he's overflowing with confident masculinity, holy sh*t. Man is sexy as fckk)Also the next day he picked her up from her house to send her to work, but he actually told her to drive them so he can sit at the passenger seat and stare at her LOL. THE WAY I GOT DIABETES!!!!! DAMN. That was so original. I never saw this small romantic gesture anywhere else LOL. Goodness, the way my heart keep getting butterflies. ❤❤❤❤Also, finally. One of the things that Baek Don Seo blackmailed Min Jae with is Cha Ji Soo, Black's younger sister who was kidnapped by him. So Min Jae had to cancel his plan to fire Baek Don Seo and now both of them are back on the game LOL.Fortunately but unfortunately, Black and Seu Wan found Cha Ji Soo first but she's slightly demented. So he's even more dejected and burning with anger because of that :(Ouh i must also mentions Song Jae Rim who plays Seo Woo Jin, the clumsy editor-in-chief who likes Seu Wan LOL. This drama is so interesting and complex with the 5 sided love going on, LOL.Ahhh, i can't go on like this. One episode is too much WTF.

The more episodes have passed, the darker it gets :(

Chief Na to Director Kang,"He's trying with all his might to not turn into a monster. Let's not be the ones to give up on him".Literally sums up the theme of this whole season. It's so painful to see how Director Kang is hurting because of all this and how she's barely holding on :(I'm really not ready for the grand reveal for the real truth about Matsuda Kousuke. It scares me like hell :((

Crown Prince-Park Dal Hyang's tension is killing me!

daebak! the tension is crazyyyy.wow. damn i am curious what's gonna happen next.so far the Crown Prince comes across as a very smart strategist (much better than the weak and anxious King), but i am waiting to see more about his real character.Park Dal Hyang, his character is exceptional i think. he has someone to protect although that person is no longer his, and he makes no two turns about that. and his conscience is very clear, so i am really rooting for him. in a way, he reminds me of the ML in Warrior Baek Dong Soo. really great character!

in the midst of the growing tension, the comments i am inserting below cracked me up, haha

"okay this is a really great drama, i don't even need to say that. BUT LEE JIN WOOK'S EYES KEEP MESSING WITH ME. I'VE BEEN THIS DUDE'S FAN FOR YEARS AND OMFFGG HIS EYES hjgdfhjf i know it's not time to talk about the two leads' chemistry but i want to talk about it"."but i really really want to some romance between two leads..they r damn cute together..and when kang dong woo;s friend told that may be they were married couple in their past life..i don't know why but i love that line..and i wish that will be true..hope so s3 we will see some love line between them :)""i have high hopes for some romance, they've been dropping hints T_T and they really cute together,, no need to try hard, the chemistry is just so natural""Damn... yeah.. hell yes! His eyes are f*cking wowowowowww~ His face actually is a complete package. I really love watching Jin Wook when he's snobbish! It's so attractive!""ikr! he's snobbish and tough but actually really soft here! he's using his gaze really well, damn those beautiful eyes fhkjudsfhgkd".//HAHAHAHA! the way these comments really cracked me up. literally at the exact juncture where it gets really nerve-wrecking and these people are literally commenting on the ship LOL.

okay Director Kang and Team Leader Do are kinda shippable, haha

haha. okayy. Lee Jung Shin (CNBLUE's bassisst) and Jae Hee (ML from Delightful Girl, Chun Hyang) made a guest appearance in this episode, both as total psychos LOL.also, kinda understand why people ship Director Kang and Team Leader Do. she's been avoiding his eye contact from last episode to this one, when his past records are being made known to her, and she's growing cautious or scared around him, and he notices it each time though she hasn't explained anything. i think it's the way he reacted to it that makes their tension more noticeable, because with other people he doesn't give a fck LOL.ahh damn. i have to continue right up to season 3 to know whether there's something happening between them. :/

Most morally bankrupt drama I've ever watched, literally every single character is despicable!!

The FL character in this is so fckin bland my goodness. She acts like she's friend with the ML but everyone can see there's some tension between them LOL who tf are they kidding. The only reason she's not seeing it is because she's busy trying to impress the SML who's mother insulted her many times as her own boss but she's holding on for the sole reason he's a rich heir WTF. B*tch really has no pride. So fckin infuriating. Literally no one in this drama is worth rooting for, sh*t! Literally the most morally bankrupt drama i have ever watched!!!

Five Stars

"Ffs, it's episode 17 why are they still pulling the same crap of killing of or disturbing anyone who's about to tell him the truth about what happened to his father. Finally realized why his revenge felt so empty. It's because he hasn't found even the tiniest clue about what happened even though he's had like a hundred close encounters. I'm convinced that whoever wrote this story is evil af. They even went and killed swe dol too. Why????? It added nothing to the story except make us sad(again!). He's already out for revenge for his real father. Kill his mother too, why don't ya, I don't care anymore! Maaan never knew I could like a drama so much and hate it equally all at the same time. I need a nice comedy after finishing this. Heck I think I'd even go for those sickeningly sweet romance dramas. Need to drown my sorrows from this one."//yeah the story is really annoying because the writer gives us the illusion that Iljimae was getting closer to the truth, but the people who can spill the tea keeps getting killed left and right. but i think this kind of story is not exactly new to me, the second half of The Royal Gambler also had the villain kept winning LOL, so maybe that's why people disliked it so much.the biggest 'plot twist' is having Yong-ee's mother finally admitting to Ja Dol that he is his younger blood brother, with the same father of Lee Won Ho (who got killed and framed as a traitor) to stop Ja Dol from killing Yong-ee when his identity as Iljimae was found out. Yong-ee is the legitimate son, and Ja Dol is the out-of-wedlock son. she confused him and the rest of us viewers by saying that Ja Dol's father is Byun Shik who raped her (FL's father), and after saying that wasn't true, that he is the son of Se Dol, LOL.p/s Se Dol, their father was killed after pretending to be Iljimae to save his son. what a heartbreaking character, a true dad. sighh.now it explains why the King looks so tacky and un-regal LOL. he was enthroned because of a rebellion and not someone of a royal lineage, LMAO. he also killed his own son, Crown Prince who's favoured more by the Qing. all the killings of Heaven's Comrades may have been ordered by him too, WTF. sick b*****.anyways, Lee Joon Gi's mid-air kicks are phenomenal. reminds me of Warrior Baek Dong Soo at some point (their fighting methods are similar), they don't raise their swords unless to protect themselves so mostly they fight with their bare fist, and got to show off those gorgeous acrobatic moves. LJG probably has a slight advantage since he's a real martial artist with multiple black belts, and his small frame makes him really agile and fast like a ninja.JCW and LJG are truly something else, especially in sageuk!!

The kind of injustice that we still see happen today :(

Damn heartbreaking. Last episode Yong-ee was about to leave to the desolated island to learn martial arts with the Monk Master, and he gifted the young girl who liked him a hair ribbon. So cute!!! The girl saw he was pretending to join the Ajik gangster gang and collect taxes from the hawkers, but he helped them afterwards so she said she wants to marry him haha. But this episode was so sad with the girl being run over and killed by an asshole Qing Ambassador's son who drunk horse-ride. Bong Soon who saw it got super mad and started a solo protest in front of the Ambassador residence to be later joined by other people. Sadly we could see that their group was finally didbanded when they were beaten up by the royal guards. This episode ended with Yong-ee or Iljimae completing his steel body armored gears to upgrade his revenge this time.Yass i can't wait for what's gonna happen next. The cute girl who died broke my heart like crazy. She's so freaking cute :(P/s the kind of injustice we still face to this day. The aristocrat using the military personnels to fend off protests or rebellion by beating up ordinary people when they are the ones who caused this mess. What a fcked up world. Sh*t!
