To All The Boys I've Loved Before

Gyu Ho was God's apology to Go Young for all the boys he'd loved before, and I cried when he fumbled that blessing for a half eaten hamburger. But, thank God they met again in that bar, moved in together to the new place and decided to get married in the finale. #heartheart XDXDXD

Listen, this drama coming from SK in itself is a wonder. I went into this with high anticipation and I wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed it a lot. I liked the characters, the story, the education it gave me when it came to Kylie, and how realistic it was. I laughed, cried, and related so hard in some parts, I cried some more.

Go Young had three main lovers, one who was too boring to take karaoke-ing, a pretentious prick who came with a side of abs and left scars, and a happy-go-get it boy who wanted a home, and broke our hearts when he left the one he found. Let me explain.

MR SPLENDID:
Listen, Go Young and Nam Gyu could have worked. Sure, he was slow, a classic and drove like his grandmother, but my man was committed and serious. Frankly, I thought he was fast... he pulled out that ring faster than my internet connection. He genuinely loved Go Young. A bit obsessed, sure, but he came off as someone who loved with all his heart, and I felt sad when he was turned down, again and again. In the end, even his marinated crabs got rejected...poor guy. This is another guy, Go Young fumbled, and it's sad he only realised that when it was too late. Also, are we going to ignore the reason he was speeding or... anyway, rip.

MR. ACTIVIST:
Yeong Su was a fun hating, people pleasing, pretentious bummer! God, I couldn't stand his arse. Yes, I have eyes and went dayummm Susan, come here often?? And that table sexy time scene was... but damn, that brother sucked! I literally wanted to throw rocks at his head whenever he was on screen. Dafug you mean you don't celebrate Halloween because of its history and you look down on people who do? And the mfker even hated pasta. I clapped when Go Young finally clocked him, and threw his stupid arse case study away in the trash. I couldn't get why Go Young didn't see that glaring red flag, and kept letting himself be hurt to the point he took those meds. But then I understood, some hurt goes deeper than others. Either way, he was a beef cake, but if I ever see his arse on the street, it's on sight.

MR. NURSE
Gyu Ho, Gyu Ho, Gyu Ho, how I would have loved to be friends with you. Sure, they were not perfect, and his dingdong went on and off like a light bulb whenever they were doing the devil's tango--protected, but, these two were my main ship and I loved every moment with them. In the end, I understood that Go Young was scared, and perhaps wasn't sure why Gyu Ho was so accepting of Kylie and didn't even seem to care about it. Perhaps he didn't trust that Gyu Ho was truly okay with it, and that's why he had one foot out the door and took the first chance to accept their broken fate, but I still cried. They were in-tuned with each other, and Gyu Ho finally seemed so happy to have found him. In my head, I am full on delulu, and imagining them living together with a dog.

Anyway, I also liked the friendship between Choi Mi Ae and Go Young. I was sad when they had a fallen out, brought back memories of all the friends that were everything at one point, and then... we sort of dimmed out. Seeing their friendship from start to finish brought back memories that added to the tears.

All-in-all, a great show that many dramas and bl lovers would enjoy. It's a realistic portray and the ending would knock you back into reality. I highly recommend it. Kudos to the cast, especially Nam Yoon Su who did his thing. My man was on, and I loved him for it. I can't wait to see their future works.

Booty Call Appointments

Oh, Mr. Khun Elyes, now talk about a guy you wanna punch under a mistletoe. Yes, this show is not called 'Very Nice Tall Guy My Boss' but damn Susan, did Elyes have to be so good at being a red flag? He got under my skin so much, I'm lowkey having beef with a fictional character. And can someone please slap Pat with a rubber chicken? cuz I'm this close to throwing the holy Bible at his head. Homeboy is so pathetic I can physically see myself losing braincells with every decision he makes.

Reasons why this show gave me headache, and yet, cuz I'm nosy and love drama, I kept coming back for more. This is the whole romance plot sums up in one:
Pat: I love you so much Khun Elyes. Do you love me too?
Elyes: *crickets* y'all hear sumthin?
Pat: Well, then you have to leave. I have my dignity.
ME: Dignity? Where? Child where is it? On the floor?
*Khun Elyes and his long legs leaves*
*Five seconds later*
Elyes: I bought you bird nest soup. I'm gonna take care of you, although you don't need it.
Pat: bird nest soup? You are the best human in the whole wide world. *In-love noises*
Me: Child, that's not bird nest soup, that's literally water with rock salt and some plantain leaves, ask him about the feelings thing.
Pat: I love my water soup. *opens legs*
ME: Ah, there was your dignity... ON THE EFFING FLOOR.

This show lived up to its title. It promised exactly what it said it was gonna give us, a bad boss. What it didn't though, was how my blood pressure was going to hit the roof because of Pat. Homeboy had me fighting to stay sane with every decision he made. Pat was in love with a boss who had a schedule for his booty calls, treated him and his feelings with no care, and still he kept forgiving him, and coming back for more. Pat, son of Adam, please, quit!! He kept threatening to quit every 2-3 business days, then comes running four seconds later.

Like, tell me why you gonna love a guy who makes you drive him to his booty calls, schedule the appointments for his hoes, and knowingly plays with your feelings, and is somehow also still hung up on his ex who cheated on him? No, but Elyes is an asshole with a capital jerk! He's the kind of character you wanna shove down a long cliff, then throw a bulldozer over just to be sure.

Cuz, literally 2 episodes in, and Elyes have:
1) Double booked a booty call. Homeboy has a schedule where he appoints his booty calls!! Nah ah, it could never be me! Come try that in my backyard, child, see what happens ho! I dare you.
2) Made Patt filled in for a date so he could get with another booty call instead. The angry girl threw water on Pat for his troubles, while Elyes was having a good time against some wall.
3) Made Pat buy a birthday gift for his booty call, just to hurt him. He was like, 'you know what he likes, get to it.'
4) Humiliated Pat by letting him serve him and yet another booty call as their waiter.
5) Forbad him from quitting, or being friendly with people he dislikes.

And after all that, all THAT, Pat still loves him with a capital stupid, and let him kiss and bed him. Child of Adam, why? Why yous so stupid?? Pat deserves no right. Do you enjoy getting hurt?? QUIT, child, QUIT! Listen, I love drama, and stupid arse characters with no self respect makes me love myself more, but this was just sad. And the worse part was, Pat knew he didn't deserves how he was being treated, yet he still stayed. And to that I say once again, ON THE FLOOR. At this point, I don't even blame Elyes for how pathetic Pat was, cuz homeboy should have known better, he was literally the one in charge of Elyes' eff-buddy list. Falling in love with a guy who actively hurts you to teach you a lesson cuz he sorts of cares---miss me with that BS!

I still can't get my head around why Pat didn't just quit and save himself the tears. Pat helped Elyes build an empire in five years only to remain an assistant, a booty call, and the designated driver while Elyes is out effing everyone and their mamas. Elyes even made him a stand in for his dates. And he has to wait in the car while he's out ho-ing. Plus, after all that Pat have genuine feelings for Elyes. Like, why? Literally, why you gonna fell for someone who treats you with less respect than dirt? Sure, there was a scene where Pat said he didn't mind the ho-ing and felt nothing about it, but dude, you have a random else photo of your boss and you, with you in the corner in a frame, on your bed-stand, probably taken off the internet. Come on son, have some shame! Self respect Susan, do you have any? Cuz bish, after 5 years together, working so close with him, many late night dinners, if he doesn't know you're allergic to seafood, you should riot.

And the sad truth is, it's not that Elyes didn't see that what he was doing hurt Pat, he did, and even knew when he was mad at him for it. Plus he seemed to like him back, and didn't want him to quit. Then of course he got all jealous and possessive when that random ex-girlfriend showed up. (Sidenote: Literally, are there girls like her who can't take a hint and just disappear?) So yeah, Elyes still liked Pat while hurting him, which was the worse.

Listen, I felt so embarrassed for the villains in this show. No, really, they were pathetic and flat-out cartoonish. Like, that one guy who went to steal whatever from Elyes's computer. Mfker was like grinning, doing whatever with his eyebrows and trying to look very sly, but came off looking constipated. Like dude, give it a rest. And the two big bad villains. HAHAHAH, like, one of them was like:

Villain #2: We need to kill Run cuz his lover is a mafia. Big bad mafia.
Only for the big bad mafia to show up to a kidnap/blackmail with one hand in his pocket and get totally beat up. Then in the end, he was standing there doing some real hard staring and breathing, while Villain #2 fell down like he did something, and my arse was like, my brother, my brother, go find somewhere to sit, you've embarrassed me and your ancestors enough for today. While they were fighting, I was laughing my arse off, all that guns and both weren't smart enough to keep one on them? And in the end one of them pulled out a knife and got shot in the head.

PLOT:
This had an interesting premise, falling for a bad guy who is also your boss. I went in knowing there would be nonsense drama, and that's what I got, so they nailed that part. The execution of the plot however was all over the place. The bad guys were mid, the secondary characters were uninteresting, and the mains kept going in circle with their relationship. Yes, after a while they made Elyes changed his way, and with some backstory, we came to understand why he's the way he was, so it added to his character. Unfortunately, there wasn't so much meat anywhere else to make this go from interesting premise to a very good show.

I'm still wondering what the reason for that random arse time jump after all the close up shots was about. I went from: how many close up of his effing shoes did we need to see, how is the camera work weird and all over the place to, 'a time jump literally after 1 scene is rubbish'. The director and editors might have thought they ate with that, but my arse was staring like... pack it up and bring it back Sharon, you've done nothing impressive enough to time jump.

CHARACTERS:
Though both leads had my head spinning, I enjoyed the drama they brought to the table. Stupid, braincell losing drama, but still drama. As for the acting, it could have used more work to weed out the awkwardness, and whatever Elyes kept doing with his eyebrows. Most of my attention was on the leads, but Run's character also seemed very interesting, though he was as dumb as Pat, falling in love with an abusive cheater. I wished we'd have gotten more depths from the other characters, but even with Pat, he was a nice guy, stupid and a pushover, and that's basically most of what he was. Once in a while he'd get some bold genes but they deflated pretty quickly. I almost reached into the screen to shake him when he couldn't just be straight with the ex-girlfriend. Though in his defence, homegirl just couldn't take a hint.

As mentioned, the story with the business part was uninteresting, and all that bidding stuff went straight over my head, so it didn't make the secondary characters any interesting than they were made to be. Even in the finally whatever problem arose, all we saw were different montages and Pat putting his pen to his chin. I'm sure they solved it, cuz they had wine, so... yaay for them, I guess.

FINALE.
That finale pissed me the eff off. Literally, after all the work they did with Elyes, only to have him cheat one last time. He could easily have told Kim they should just be friends instead of making out with him. And Pat, after... you know what, why bother, homeboy is officially too stupid to insult, so whatever. I stayed in this show for the drama, but damn, did the writers even know what they were doing with the plot? And was I supposed to cheer that Pat and Elyes ended up together? cuz all I did was roll my eyes and laughed at that corny arse candle love scene. Literally, why?

All in all, a typical bl, nothing special, but watchable like most bls, but you gonna need patience for this one. So if you're looking for some dramatic arse show that's probably gonna make you want to reach into the screen and slap yourself a lead, then this show is for you. Grab some popcorn cuz we've got a red flag and a lead who is colorblind by choice, it doesn't get any dramatic than this. I am looking forward to more series with James and Kad in a different drama. Hopefully, something that will keep our interest from start to finish, and with their acting improved.

This Love Have A Lot Of Basil

Sskksks, I’m sorry, but if pettiness was an olympic sport, Kluer would win gold, mfer did not come to play! Also, tell me why the moment JJ showed up, I went ‘Wait, isn’t that the boot licker from Pitbabe? yo Kenta, what your arse doing here?’ LMAO.

No really, the moment Kluer said, ’Stir fried with long beans’ I went ‘Damnnnn Susan, yous is petty!’ Not gonna lie, I clapped a bit, be petty Susan, be petty. Up until the finale, I thought he was gonna be the only petty character, but seeing Chef open a restaurant right around the corner was a whole new level of pettiness, damn what's in the water in that restaurant?

Chef Oab: You are Eliminated! As a chef, always be aware of the cleanliness of the kitchen.
*A few moments later*
Chef Oab’s naked butt on the kitchen counter, doing the devils tango with Plawan.
ME: *boombastic side-eye*

Peoples, we are eating stuff…if this is what happens behind the scenes of these restaurants, imma learn to make my own tiramisu. Also, what's with Chef and doing it in the kitchen? Every chance he get he's breaking plates and spilling product placement noddles.

Anywho, RIP to those of us who watched this without food, and almost ended up licking our screens. The food looked sooo appetising! And, am I the only one who even blew on invisible food every time the characters did? Damn I’m hungry.

CHARACTERS
I think everyone did what they were supposed to, which was refreshing. SailubPon were good in their roles, had great chemistry and managed to keep my interest. Most of the times, I intend to get pulled in by the second leads, but here, although I was enjoying the dynamic of the second couples, my focus was on the main leads.

Or course, Plawan chopping the chef while working for Methas was a big-no-no, but hey, I’m here for the drama, so I kept cheering on him to not tell Oab until it was too late. I like that they weren't overbearing, even when that female showed up and there was misunderstanding, they didn't break up. It was a good change, seeing adults act like adults. I really liked it.

The will they won’t they relationship of the second couple was good. You could cut the tension between them with a bread knife. Which was why, I was a bit disappointed with the finale. I didn't want KinnPorsche level of swimming pool end, but like, this was them throughout the series:

Intense stares. Helping you pee. Falling on your naked body. His face really close to his face. Cinema dates. Buying the hospital you work at. Near kisses with so much tension. Slow burn. If you want me, earn me speeches. More intense stares. THEN, in the finally, JJ shows up in a towel, and it's like:

JJ: I'm half naked, boobs on display, please, go home, I want to sleep. Hehe, don't look at me, hehe stop it.
METHAS: *In love noises* Come here. You're in trouble today.
ME: Girl, it's about to go down. They about to break Methas other leg and the bed.
WRITERS *Missionary kisses. Next scene. They engage.*
ME: Engaged? Dafug y'all rushing for??

Like, that's not what was advertised? Sirs, we did not order this? Where the food at? What happened to the promised good eating? I mean, I'm satisfied with what they gave me, but I'm not full. That's that make sense? It wasn't bad, but it just felt flat after all that tension. That being said, they were cute in that scene.

Anyway, my only problem in the beginning was that JJ was asking too much of Methas. Sure, all he wanted him to do is to be more human, instead of an evil business man, and good on him, Methas needed to know that JJ will only date someone he felt was a good person. But at the same time, JJ forcing Methas to be ‘a good human’ defeated the purpose of growth. But I think this was redeem in the finale, cuz even though he had the ultimatum, he was still popping champagne, and it took him losing JJ and taking his advice for him to come to the good side. So, a bit of grown on his own, which was good. And frankly, I think he's the only who had any major sort of growth, everyone else was pretty much the same with little changes.

But like Methas' whole personality was like: money, money, annoying, money, annoying, money. Then when he fell in love he was like a child at a candy store. It was funny to see him out there giving out free rent instead of increasing the prices. Also, that wedding ring. Damn, that rock shined brighter than the sun. But tell me why homeboy told JJ he'd teach him how to love? Child, you just learned it like two seconds ago, and your definition of it still so-so, so what you gonna teach him?

Listen, KLUER is a loser. And not the graceful kind, but the kind you wanna leave at disneyland on his birthday. He sucks. Characters like him are the reason why I sometimes thinks second leads deserves no right.

This dude was doing too much, all because he had a crush. First, calling Khao Suay to come back home and disturb our peace, then trying to state some claim when he saw Chef and Plawan might have something on the side, then literally trying to kiss him while he was 'asleep', then immediately hating him cuz he was a spy.

I laughed. The deep kind that makes you choke, when Chef and Plawan were eating each other and Kluer was alone on his bed sobbing. The editing was chefs kiss, best scene sequence ever. Good job editors. Yes, Kluer looked so sad and pathetic, and I was supposed to feel bad for him, but at that time, I was so done with him, his lonely arse weeping with in a pain with heartbreak made me laugh happy tears. Then when he got rejected, he was remembering when he almost kissed Plawan in his sleep. Son of Adam, how is that what you choose to remember, was that a happy memory for you? cuz…

I'm glad his pathetic arse finally grew up and came back to work with the team. I did understand him in the end, first Chef could have left the restaurant to him since they worked together for so long, but he decided to hold a competition. Then, Chef again stole/fell in love with his crush. That must have hurt, in the finale when he was chanting 'get marry' I was like, damn, 'you gonna cry into your pillow tonight, ain't you Susan?' but he seemed generally happy... sooo...

PLOT:
Listen, I think This Love Doesn’t Have Long Beans was wrongfully named. Sure, that female character who doesn't like long beans showed up to annoy us for like two episodes, then got dump while trying to eat her sandwich. (Side note: Chef, really, did you have to bring her the sandwich? It made me laugh. And gawd, he was so brutal when he dumped her. Yikes. ‘I don’t think I ever loved you’ damn, #sad) But still, it should have been called This Love Has A Boatload of Basil. Cuz really, that’s all they talked and smelled about. Plawan spent more than half the series sniffing Chef cuz he smelled of basil.

I have dried basil at home, but I’m tempted to go to the grocery store and sniff a fresh one to see what all the fuss is about. That would be weird, right. Yeah, that’s weird… don’t wanna be labelled the ‘basil sniffer,’ people know me in this town.

And, sure, I’d like for female characters to stop popping up like rent is due to cause unnecessary drama, but they add to the good drama when done right, and this one made me dislike Kluer more, and brought out Plawan’s sassy side, so we good. Plus, her arse got dumped while eating a sandwish and made me laugh, so thanks for your service female ex-girlfriend.

Anywho, there wasn't anything big, or special about the plotline. The story has been done before. It's always a nasty job when you date someone you work with, and that too the boss, but I like that it wasn't just a workplace romance, and it started out as a con. Sure we all knew he was gonna fall in love in the end, and they gonna have a happy ending, but the execution of it, was done well with a good cast, which made it interesting to watch.

The plot gave me exactly when it promised, and for that I enjoyed it. It was a simply story about food that managed to entertain me every week. A lot of dramas have been trying to fit so many themes and genres into them, that I’m all too happy when I stumble upon a simply slice of life like this one.

FINALE
I went into the finale ready for drama in the first few minutes cuz now Chef knew Plawan has been deceiving him, instead, he just chopped him well-well. And the whole time I was like… hmm, sirs, where is my drama?

ME: Enough eating each other to robotic background music, give me drama!! I want drama. I want yelling, throwing stuff. Drama. Drama. Drama.

*Writers give me drama. Tears, yelling, shoving, rain, outside, fatal position.*

ME: Nooo *in the corner crying* that’s too much drama. Take it back. Take it back.

Which of course immediately turned into laughter, cuz damn Chef did Plawan dirty opening that restaurant. So petty, and for what? Then he went and ordered food from him, so he'd come and see his new place. That was Foul!! Though, I like how when Plawan finally came to say sorry, he accepted, warned him to never break his heart again, and immediately violated all the health codes. Loved that Plawan was the one to propose, I was like awww, that too surrounded by basils.

Overall, the finale felt a bit rush towards the end, but it didn't leave any major loose ends, and I was satisfied with it, so we all good. All in all, a good show, that I’ll highly recommend to anyone looking for something unheavy to watch. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to more work from the cast.

Playing Peek-a-boo With the Interesting Plotline

Khun Dad!?! Dafug you mean Khun Dad??? And what the hell was that dancing pose? Dude out there looking like a confused triangle. Look, I’m used to people in love having ridiculous nicknames like my Mosquito net, Donut lips, Baboon butt and Chicken thighs. But I draw the line at effing Khun Dad. Dafug?? Can’t believe Bank was able to say that with a straight face and Mos didn’t throw up on him every time he said it.

Anyway, I’m sure y’all remember that abomination when Pit Babe made us throw up our lunch going ‘Mama, Papa’ *race car noises*, right? Yeah, prepare to wanna throw up last christmas’ turkey, cuz there’s a whole new cringe in town.

This week on BLs Cringe Hot 100
#1 Khun Dad. [NEW]
#2 Mama, Papa, Pitbabe. [-1]
#3 I’ll Kiss You Till You Drop, 2gether. [=]
#8 I'll Be Your Vaccine, Fish Upon A Sky [+3]

This was legit me when I heard that nickname for the first time.

SALIN: We are soo in love, let’s have cute nicknames. I’ll call you, Khun Dad. *in love noises*
ME: Did he just say…nah, *shakes head.* I must have misheard.
SALIN: Khun Dad.
ME: God forbid!

WHY Child??? May this level of inlove-ness-ness never locate me! Mister effing Dad?? Why? Peoples, he said Khun Dad with his whole chest!! Maybe I found this repulsive because I’m as romantic as those bl scenes where they think giving their partners that yellow ice tea and drinking it slowly is romantic. Khun Dad. The devil is a liar!

Listen, thanks to dramas, single people have not known peace in this fandom. There’s always some romantic nonsense to make people look 1000 times more single. And in this show, there are so many romantic scenes from both the first and second leads that make single people look like they live in a hole, alone, with 21 cats. And yes, good for them, they are in love. But gawwwd do some of the romantic gestures makes me cringe.

- The Khun Dad
- The I love you in 6 languages or more
- That woman/Salin prisoner who turned into a light in the finale and promised to spend her next life loving Sun in a wig, who is a half snake lord of something. It vexed me, cuz the eff you mean after he locked you up for centuries you wanna be born again and love him? People in love should be abandoned at disneyland on their birthdays.

And do y’all remember that dancing Salin and Sun did on their first? date? That pose at the end was the most effing awkward, embarrassing, unsexiest thing I’d ever seen. Homeboy out there looking like the cousin of that one gingerbread from Shrek. Literally, what the hell was that? Whose idea was that? Get the hell outta here.

Khun Dad. Why, just why? What did we do to deserve this? What did I do to the writers? Why they gonna subject me to that? People In Love Are So Disgusting. Ew.

PLOT
SunsetXvibes feels like a fancy arse dessert I ordered, but when it came, it tasted like cupboard paper with pink sparkles. Cuz, why was the show playing peek-a-boo with the interesting storyline? Mfers had a naked guy napping in some water and spent 98.6% of the drama in the office talking about necklaces. Going in, I thought we were going to see behind the scenes of what happens in these sort of companies. You know, there'd be fashion shows like in the finale, biddings wars to see their designs worn by famous celebrities in magazines and events, you know, the ins and outs of the glamorous world. Instead we got them clicking on computers, talking about designing and meetings.

And okay sure, what I got wasn't want I expected, but interning at a jewellery company, cool, nice, but what about that butt naked dude? When are you going to tell me about him? How does it connect to this main plot?

The screenwriters were like: how many random flashbacks you want with no context or development?

Director: Yes.

Literally, were the flashbacks supposed to intrigue us? The first two times sure, but after we kept getting barely there glances with no correlation to the current plot-line, I straight up went and filled in my own thing.

ME: Ahh, so in his past life, he used to moonlight as a naked river god, who knew some woman. Either that or he went swimming one time and someone stole his cloth. Then I was like ‘hmmm, is it like The Sign? It reminds me of the sign, is a dragon looking snake gonna show up? Then bam, it showed up.

No, but the writers? ruin this. They had a good plot on paper, but they were so busy having the leads act all cutesy, and acting below their adult age with unnecessary nonsense misunderstandings, that, they forgot the actual plot, dragged the flashback reveal and forgot to connect the two stories. Plus that flashback seems to just be hanging around, you know, like that one uncle who comes for christmas and just sits in the corner? He there, we can see him, but like, we all pretending he has on one of them Harry Potter invisibility cloaks. When they finally told us what the hell the flashbacks were about, I’d lost all interest and was like ‘Oh, okay, sure, whatever, move it along. Did I remember to turn off the iron?... Wait, I don't own an iron.’

Although there was no connection of that flashback plot and this current one, cuz it's randomly inserted with no follow ups, it felt far more interesting. Because, the flashbacks plot had: unrequited love, Salin being the reincarnation/spirit? of the trapped lady, Nagas, Sun in a wig from Shein was like some lord or another and Salin killed someone. Interesting stuff, tell me more.

Instead, we get Salin designing something that always gets stolen/patented, the company turning into a dating app for Salin and his friends. Also, what does Yo and Pim do all day? Sure they on the computer but are they designing stuff or just ordering lunch? Then of course in-between the two things happening there are lots of NC scene. From the pool table to that artsy painting room, to Sam's office sofa, to that dressing room... which were all...hihi...yeah...stuff. Having soup while watching/hearing that NC in the finale was unfortunate.

So yeah, I wanted a correlation between the two stories, instead the writers threw the plot with the Naga and murder away to make room for unnecessary stuff. And what the hell was that finale? Talk about if irrelevant lived next door to uneventful and anti-climatic. The finale was filled with awkward cringy scenes. Which meant the flashback plot was quickly wrapped up with nonsense. Literally when did we see lord Sun in a wig always being there to protect Salin? And that was it? that woman who has been trapped for forever turned into a light and died? And since when can Salin close his eyes and summon Sun in a wig? LIKE??? arrgggg. meh. I’m sure the writers wanted the flashbacks to intrigued us, but with no real connection to the main plot it became uninteresting. Cuz really, what was I supposed to be looking forward to with 3 seconds flash back every two episodes?

Also, that man person with a gun in the finale. Who the hell was he? What was his job, and why the hell did he want to steal designs? I'm sure he was introduced in the start, but he's so forgettable and irrelevant that he could have been replaced by one of those necklaces and it wouldn't have made a darn different.

And can we talk about when Salin finally found out what the flashbacks were about? I expected more reaction from him, but homeboy came out of the flashback, ignored everything he saw, and instead went to design a necklace. CHILD??? You not even gonna wonder how this lord who looks like Sun in a wig likes you in this lifetime?? You gonna save your past self or? What kind of dollar store arse reaction was that??

Literally this was him when he finally found out what his dream/nightmares were about.
ME: Wow, Sun's the reincarnation of the lord/guy in the wig???
SALIN: Did you see his necklace?
ME: OMG your past self, who is still in the cave, is alive. There's two of you. You gonna save her?
SALIN: She was the one who gave him the necklace.
ME: You killed that woman. You murdered a person with dark smoke magic.
SALIN: I'm gonna design that necklace.
ME: But---but there's literally two of you in existence right now, and you killed a sister.
SALIN: Anyone have some crayons, I need to start designing.

HOW? Just---HUH? No, but really, dafug was that reaction? If the character himself doesn't think it's important, how are the viewers suppose to be interested or take it serious? That whole flashback story-line felt like it was written so Salin can design a gothic looking necklace to win the competition, which was completely unnecessary. Not gonna lie, that whole award competition felt awkward with unnecessary cringy dialogue from the staff. I'm gonna comfort myself by believing Lin's design won cuz it was different looking than the rest...cuz ain't no way.

And while the flashback plot wasn’t giving us much, the main plot wasn’t keeping my interest either. Lots of cutesy stuff, with adults acting below their age and not much else going on. Cuz the plot with who has been stealing/patenting designs ended in 0.2 seconds. It was so anti-climatic and ended so quick, they needed another character to overact and explain it to the viewers for 5 unnecessary minutes complete with an ad. No but the finale was... did they run out of ideas and had 1 hour to fill? Cuz literally, the eff was that work bathroom scene? On the plus side, some of Sal's outfits in this drama slays, so at least I can comfort myself with that. yaay me?

I think MosBank can do so much better than this plot. I saw them in Big Dragon, so seeing them act different here, all calm, cute and innocent, and being all in-true-love is refreshing/different to see. Although they are the leads, I don’t think they are the reason for how unremarkable this turned out. The plot is just very mediocre, sort of repetitive and boring. They didn’t have much to work with. Yes, they had the chemistry to keep fans watching, but unfortunately, their chemistry couldn’t save this. Everything was so meh that in some scenes they seem to even loose their chemistry, and those two has a lot of it, even on random Tuesdays. And there was only so much the supporting cast could add. I hope in their next work, the plot is more interesting, and it doesn’t rely heavily on the actors carrying the show of a poorly executed story.

CHARACTERS
The supporting cast didn’t have much going for them. Still, they each had something small going on, though the ones that stood up the most were the second couples. They were cute. I was cheering for Sam and Yo from the start. Their chemistry was chemistrying. And they knew the correct way to call each other, P'Sam and Nong Yo, very cute, no vomit in sight. Also, was everyone as surprised as I was to find out Sam goes to the gym in-between buying hair gel?

LMAO, was I the only one who laughed at Sam's new look after his secret of being the second son of the company was revealed? Homeboy showed up with a whole new hairstyle, minus glasses, and a single strand of hair threatening to poke him in the eye. I was like, okay, arite, I guess poor people don’t use hair gel, good for you. LOL.

I feel the gl couple could have developed more, instead of Prim spending most of the series being nonchalant. When they did get together, I couldn't really vibe with their chemistry, they cute, but I wanted more reason to cheer for them. Like with Sam and Yo, where they had those little moments that all added to them falling in love. Looking back all I recall of the gl couple is Prim always saying no to whatever Pim was asking her. So yeah, they were there.

My fav scene in this whole series might be when they found out Lin’s dating the CEO. Sam’s face going ‘I can’t believe I’m related to this dumbass’ made me roll with laughter. I also liked when Lin dropped kicked that weirdo. Oh, and how the friends were not surprise that Sam and Yo were dating. I mean, you could cut the intense with a bread knife.

Oh, and what the hell was up with those random foreign language one liners they kept inserting? Is that whats cool these days or am I not chronically online enough to be in the known? First it was just Pim, but then everyone was suddenly doing it...okay? And like, was it me or did the finale never seemed to end? Whenever I thought it was over, another scene popped up.

Now, Back to the Khun Dad debacle. Anyone else wanted to throw tiny rocks at Lin every time he said Khun Dad? That shit was corny and cringy as eff. People in love deserves no rights. And Salin didn’t even say it once and got over it. Every second he was like, Khun Dad do you want to dance? Khun Dad do you want to eat shrimps? Khun Dad see my necklace. Child!! will you keep quiet??? I’m gonna be haunted by this until MosBanks next drama.

Anyway, in the end, it is what it is, and the bad execution of the plot ruined an otherwise interesting story. I expected a lot more from this. I hope MosBank gets to work with a great story(well executed) for their next project, so people see how talented they are. I'll still recommend this to fans, and anyone interested in boss-employee relationship. And to those who like CEO sons pretending to be poor stories, cuz you'd like Sam and Yo.

EDIT: HAHAHAHAHSKJWPRISKEJR.... soooo in the special episode.... Lin is pregnant? Or is gonna get pregnant. Literally, what in the random arse plot was that? sudden... mpreg? well it was planned, but whomst?? who's driving this thing? what's even happening?

That being said, the main song of this drama was soooo good! At least they got one thing right.

Anywho, Khun Dad I guess.

WISH I COULD USE THAT ERASER

Yes, yes, Fourth is adorable as Atom. He's super cute, the babiest of the babiest. Give him a sippy cup and a blankie. Clouds, cotton candies, rainbows, poppies, whatever... cute!

But listen. For the life of me, I couldn't keep myself from going 'SHAKE YO BOOTY, SHAKE YO 'AS' whenever Gemini came on screen! I am embarrassed. I am ashamed. No really. In that one episode where the poor guy got bitten by a whole arse snake, I went. 'PUT YOUR HANDS UP IN THE AIR 2X.' Though, speaking of snakes, what in sorry arse reaction was that??? His reaction was literally like... oh...yeah....I guess a snake...bit me? CHILD???!

Anyway, this drama is not for people with rational thinking. I think it was made for a waay younger audience. Cuz like, Atom brought his blankie and plushie to a hotel! So yeah, that should tell you the audience this was made for. So if you are looking for something deep, my brother, go look elsewhere.

That being said, thanks to the many ads in this drama, (literally how many times did we have to see Kongthap poke himself in the eye to put in those lenses?) especially that yellow ice tea, which is in basically every drama, I finally went and ordered that yellow ice-tea, now tell me why it tasted like sawdust and cheap cargo shorts? It tasted like Wednesdays, don't hate it, don't like it. I supposed it's on me, should have known to stop ordering stuff in dramas when that seaweed snack tasted like chili and air condition.

Listen, I'm sure many people were frustrated with some of the decisions the characters made in this show. Like the nonsense misunderstandings , overreacting and miscommunications. Me personally, I wanted to reach into the screen and shake Kongthap in the last episode when he agreed with Atom that they should tell their parents about their relationship, but then immediately became a third party during the telling. Cuz how the eff you gonna sit there like a tree, blinking like a goddamn christmas light while Atom go through that alone? Mfer said and did nothing while Atom's self-esteem chipped away at the words his mother said. Arrggg.

As for Kongthap's mother, did she really need to be so vague and take those long arse pauses and make poor Atom cry like that? Damn woman made me yell at her and her son, while trying to wipe Atom's tears through the screen.

And yes, we can argue that Kongthap himself was nervous and scared, but literally he could have at least tried to say something instead of becoming a light pole with a flickering lightbulb. Even when it was Atom's turn to tell his mother, homeboy still went, 'ma'am Atom has something to tell you' This CHILD!!

PLOT:
Going in, I was afraid it wasn't going to live up to the hype and the wholesomeness of the Japanese version, which it sort of didn't. Because this version was much different. However Fourth held his own, orbit some over-the-top-scenes and Gemini had the whole clueless adorable house poppy look working for him, which frankly is his go to in all his characters, still, I think they did their best with what they were given.

As for the source material, they took the name of the Japanese series, a few similar scenes, then sort of threw the rest of the script in the rubbish, then did their own thing. Which gave us a fuller story, about first loves, the anxiety of getting into uni, and how hard it is to come to terms with your feelings and sexuality. It's sad that all those changes was packaged with over-acting, stiff kisses, awkwardness and childish behaviour. It would have been great otherwise. But personally, base on the changes, I think the writers did a good job adding something new so it doesn't just a repeat the original.

CHARACTERS:
First off, I'd like to give credit where it's due. Although the acting in this was nothing to write poems about, the finale showcased how far Fourth has come as an actor, and how far he can go! He did such an amazing job that I felt every bit of his emotions in those heavy scenes. I look forward to seeing him grow more in his acting, and to take on more serious roles, cuz I can tell he'd nail them.

Atom and Kongthap were frustrating at times with all the childish misunderstands and problems. Atom started the series with no dreams and in love with a girl, and ended up working endlessly to be a better version of himself. I liked that we got to see him struggle with what to study, it felt relatable. I cheered on him when he finally achieved his goals and grew as a character who didn't seem to have a care in the world, to a promising change man who had more hold on his future. I also liked how Kongthap opened himself to the idea of returning Atom's feelings and was supportive of Atom. I did like the relationship between Atom and Kongthap, although due to all that nonsenses problems, I came to enjoy the relationship with Half and Mudmee more at times. They felt so mature towards the end. Half knowing he wanted to be a better version of himself for her instead of following Mudmee's dream was great. I applauded that part, I was like yes, finally some grown-up decisions that doesn't come with overreacting and nonsense.

Also those kisses though. Damn. In the finally, I was like... Kongthap honey, at least move your neck, or lips, or head, do something child, you're in high-school. He gave Atom nothing, which makes me think Atom would have been better off making out with those chairs instead. But again, given the audience, I wasn't holding my breath that we'd get more than stiff kisses. They almost had me with the firework kiss though.

Half and Mudmee were such good supporting cast and made it enjoyable to watch them. Half is a whole mood on his own, he seemed so chill with everything most of the time, my kind of vibe. I look forward to more work from both the actors.

Anyway, although this wasn't deep, and came off mostly childish, I think GeminiFourth fans would really enjoy it. I'll recommend this to anyone who likes middle-high-school first love series. Watch it if you have time and looking for something light to watch. I look forward to GeminiFourth's next series.

SHAKE YO BOOTY SHAKE YO AS'... God, why am I like this? Wish I could use that eraser to erase that Gemini performance, cuz every time I come across him, it's the first thing that pops into my mind. ^^

Are These People Afraid of Lips?

Literally, how the eff did this cast look like supermodels and kissed like stale bread? Also why did I think Pond’s name came second in his couple tag? LMAO, imagined my surprised when he showed up acting all aloof and cool, talking about needing his junk repaired for 200k baht. I was like, 'Oh, okay, so this is where we going, arite.'

Anyway, here is my quick review:
First, this series had no business being 16 episode. How many time did they have to go do something with water? The last 3 or so episodes were super unnecessary. We get it, Peem likes water, move on to something more interesting, please!!

What I liked.
FRIENDSHIP. No, their friendship group was beautiful and so chill, and brought back good memories. I love how supportive they all were to each other. Whenever they had a scene together, I had a big grin on my face. I enjoyed the scenes when they tried to get Q to admit his feelings, and every time they tried to fit into Peem's tiny arse bed.

What I didn't like:
1) The acting: Open back the acting school, cuz like... some parts of this was so awkward and cringy. Though, I think AouBoom improved from when I first watched them in Hidden Agenda. Tan was a bit hyper but I liked his character. Truthfully, most of the cast looked ready to shoot a catalogue than they did acting. They all moved as if they were camera shy. No, like, every time Peem tried to act serious I went, 'Dude, stop doing that thing with your eyebrows!!'

2) Stale kisses and cringy scenes: Dafug was up with most of the couples in this? Out there acting like they were afraid of lips. I blame it on the stiff acting. No, I did not want KinnPorsche level of kisses. I just wanted like a normal one. You know like that penguin couple who kissed in the last episode. They moved their face and were enthusiastic, and that was a-o-kei. In the scene where Peem and Phum were kissing beside that canoe by the sea, Peem literally looked like he was in pain, legit, Phum would have had a better chance making out with that canoe cuz... yikes!

3) Meh plot-line: Don’t ask me the voice of nobody. The plot did not keep my interest, so I watched most of this show at 2x and they all sounded like alvin and the chipmunks to me. Peem, is going directly to my list of characters who deserves to be slap with a rubber chicken, cuz dafug you mean a dude asked you to be his slave and you fell in love with him while cleaning his apartment and doing his laundry? Also Phums father 'issues' had me going, 'Damn, and to think those of us who's father went out to get milk and never came back brood less.'

I guess, this show was mostly about the friend group each finding love? than it was about anything else, so in that aspect, it was fine, but it wasn't anything extraordinary.

Also was there like one random friend who didn’t have anyone? I felt like everyone was paired off except that one guy. Poor dude, don’t even remember his name. Oh well.

Which reminds me, why won't Phum kick a ball into Peem's painting? Homeboy dragged that sorry arse painting everywhere with him, unprotected. Like in one scene he straight up left it and went to go chase Phum around a park. I was surprised it survived until the end.

Please, why was Q always threatening us with a song every second scene? What in this plot called for his singing? After the second time, I rushed to skip whenever he got near a guitar. You will not stress me today child.

And lastly, I can’t believe they put Peem’s ugly arse painting next to Q’s, lol. No, hear me out, the first time I saw the wave painting, I wanted to write poems about it. It was so beautiful, such incredible art. Then he went and added those flowers and the whole thing became tacky. Nah, I was sad he ruined it. That being said, his future works looked very beautiful, so there's hope for him after all.

But yeah, if you like any of these actors, I'm sure you'd enjoy this. I will recommend it for the friendship scenes, cuz those were heartwarming. Unicorns, Rainbows and whatnots.

Wandee has the personality of a flip-flop

Why was Wandee ready to be boyfriends with Ter, the guy who had the personality of a two-in-one shampoo but needed 12 episode to accept Yoryak? Make it make sense?!?!

Like, I don’t understand why Wandee was playing hard to get? Dude, Yoryak found you in the dumpster, in between two trash cans. Please, stop playing hard to get, he already saw you at your worse and still wants you.

That being said, I tuned in to this show every week because GreatInn were amazing. Loved how their chemistry was chemistrying and the plot was watchable. The second couple were good as well, Cher has my whole heart. All in all, an enjoyable show, but still some things annoyed me, so here we are.

Because, for a show about having a good day, it sure as hell ruined my day.

CHARACTERS

Listen. I liked YORYAK. He was in the running for my fav character along with Cher. I was rooting for him. Sure I had no idea what was up with that random grim reaper character that showed up whenever the writers remembered there’s supposed to be a guy in a cape for the plot-line, but still I liked him.

Then the finale happened and undid all that, making me think he’s an ungrateful jerk. Because his brother, Oye, gave up his dream, got beaten up by loan sharks and almost lost ruin his relationship, all to make Yoryak’s dream come true. But what does Yoryak do when he finally makes it to the top? Immediately dedicate his win to his fake boyfriend with benefits. Literally you met him like four seconds ago!

Dafug you mean this win is mostly because of you, and this championship belt is yours??? No it’s not! Wandee did nothing, this had nothing to do with him! Matter of fact he stressed you out with his indecisiveness so much you lost a match. Get your priorities straight child!

Really, what did Wandee contribute to his victory? Is it because he told him to face that hooded figure? His brother would have told him the same thing if he’d confind in him. Nah, that part was just messed up, especially after that family episode.

Anyway, I still like Yoryak, but that last episode did him no good.

Now WANDEE. Oh, Wandee my boy. Why you gotta have the face of a supermodel and the smile of a cloud, but the personality of a slipper?

Wandee’s inability to make up his mind annoyed the hell outta me. It wasn’t because Yoryak did anything wrong or didn’t communicate his feelings, our boxer did and said all the right things, but still Wandee wasn’t sure even after they kissed. Dude, he brought you home after picking you up from the dumpsters, he’d seen you at your worse and still wants you. What more is you waiting for???

When he kept dragging his feet about being Yoryak’s real boyfriend, I wanted to reach into the screen and shake him. Like, dude you were in love with that shifty arse doctor who looks like he steal pills during his lunch breaks, but hunky boxer is where you get sense? Child, if you don't sit your arse down!

I liked Wandee, he didn’t sit around crying for weeks when he was called vanilla, which lets all agree, dude looked like the poster boy for vanilla, but yeah, he didn’t sit there wallowing, he up and got himself a sexy faen with benefits, and he had a cool grandma to add to his charm, but I sure as hell was given him the stink eye. And I did so every episode after they first kissed. He was acting like a boyfriend, but still didn’t want to commit.

And also, did anyone cringed so hard, they wanted to jump off a cliff when Wandee started singing? I get Thai Bl dramas never leave the house without a guitar, but the secondhand embarrassment I felt, yikes! Like, why is now the time to start singing in front of all this people?

This show had no business being 12 episode. It could have ended the first time they kissed on the lips. Cuz it just dragged after that and made Wandee more annoying by not being able to make up his mind. I kept screaming at my screen ‘Mfer do you want to be with Yoryak or not?

Also, did we ever find out about how Wandee was scared of traffic lights, but like, drove a car? What he do when he stopped by a traffic light?

But like, do we all agree that Inn’s smile is sooo adorable?

Anyway TER! EFFING TERRR!!! I still can’t get pass the episode where he fumbles a beautiful doctor lady for Wandee, only to fumble him too and then try to come back to the dance floor looking for her. THE AUDACITY!! Did Ter think that boss lady doctor would still be waiting for his sorry arse?? Homeboy out there acting like spare tyre and thinking he’s the belle of the ball.

LMAO, what a loser! His sorry arse out there looking like an upside down question mark, and yet he thought he still had a chance with Wandee! Any screen time he had after that vanilla scene felt like I was being forced to accept his existence. Then instead of falling down the stairs in the finale and breaking all his toes and fingers, the writers up and gave the mfer a whole arse girlfriend. WHY? FOR WHAT REASON??? ARRRGGGGG

This world has no balance, why are all my enemies winning this season? First Tong and now Ter.

And speaking of the VANILLA scene. HAHAHAH, Ter out there acting like he collects stamps and have seks with the lights off, calling someone vanilla, dude didn’t seem like he knew any positions other than missionary, cuz what player with game would fumble two people in the span of a minute at a ball?? Vanilla! Boy if you don’t shut up!

I really wanted him to end up alone, bitter, and jobless, but here we are with his annoying arse waving at me and going ‘Bish, you thought!’

CHER AND OYE
I loved these two together. Usually I watch most of the second leads scenes on 2x, but these two had me hooked. Cher the most, the bestest boy, and so supportive. I love the ending they got, so happy for them.

PLOT:
Not gonna lie, watched all the boxing on 2x, cuz that hoodie figure was so uninteresting and if you see them punch once, you’ve seen it all, but the hype of the games and their gym added to their characters, so that was good. The competition thing with the doctors was also just sort of there, nothing to write home about, feels Ter didn't even try that hard to win? Also, them forgiving that bum arse father was meh, and dragging the series only to make Wandee more annoying was also whatever. But, the talk about protective seks and asexual characters was very much needed, so kudos to them. And Plako with his bedroom suggestions, his kinky arse had me rolling.

Anywho, I did like this show, I looked forward to it every week, so I recommend to it anyone who are funs of GreatInn. I’ll rewatch it, just to grin like an idiot whenever Cher pops up.

Well...That Was... At Least They Are FortPeat--- hihi?

Am I the only one who wanted to put a potato sack over that assistant girls head for all that overreacting in the earlier episodes? Yeah, no? okaii.

And listen to this: Tongrak is so traumatized with his mother falling in love with a gigolo that he doesn’t even believe in love, so of course, his solution is to… *check notes** get himself a live-in gigolo. Child! Like?

Also, what the hell was up with Rak's sperm donor? No really, Rak's dad is a rubbish person. Mfer walked into the scene looking like he collects coupons and went: 'I want you to break up with my son because I want to be a good father to him.' HUH??? His whole motivation for being a bum went like this.

RAK’S BUM ASS DAD: Yes, I’m a sucky father and husband. But I want to make it up to my son and be there for him. So even though you make him happy, I want you to break up with him, so he can be miserable.
ME: Ah, so, we taking nonsense orders now. Alright. *drives to a church* Pastor, I’ll have the beef burger with cement, please.
RAK’S BUM ASS DAD: You make no sense.
ME: No you make no sense you bum ass sperm donor.

Quick Review:
Listen, this drama was a dumpster fire. It didn’t even know what it wanted to be. It want from being a sugar baby au, tags: (#islandlife #authorswriting #shortsrealshort #showerseks #crazydads #mentionedgigolos) to annoying cousins revenge plotline, to wanna be gangster dads, to bracelet selling island dwellers, literally pick a struggle. And the sad truth is, after all that, the story-line still felt flat to me. Though, except for wondering what will became of the gl couples, there wasn't any loose ends, cuz the writers had Rak's mother become the ex-machina. Not only did she take care of the dad problem, but also the cousin, all off-screen, and suddenly everything was rainbows.

Half the cast were so one dimensional. The cousin(literally what did she want? her whole thing was to remind us Rak's mom likes gigolos, okay, and?), the bum arse dad who showed up only to be a bum arse, and the actress friend who apparently likes whinny overreacting girls. The only characters I felt carried and kept my attention was that little girl, Meena (great actor, played her role really well), and Mahasamut. Fort have improved in his acting since LITA. Of course Peat to some degree as well, though a few cringy scenes. Hopefully they’d will improve even more in their next drama.

And were we supposed to feel sorry for Rak in the finale? cuz my arse was just annoyed. Literally, when they got together I was like, yaay?... sure, happy ending. Cuz, after everything Mut did, he still didn't want to commit to a serious relationship? Sure he had problems to work through, but after everything, even being the one to mend you and your mother's relationship, he still didn't want to admit his feelings, acting like a spoiled kid. His behaviour in the finale made me wanna throw tiny rocks at him. He did eventually realize his feelings, but at that point I’d already checked out, so instead of being sad and crying when they got together, I checked how much time was left.

That being said, Rak's fashion sense was cool, his short shorts were on point, and I love how he saw Mut and went, 'I went it, I get it. You like my island boy toy, geez thanks, just got him.' But his constant 'I don't love you' act annoyed the hell out of me.

Up until Mahasamut beat up Rak's bum arse dad, I was half/half on his character, liked him cuz he had no shame, and he was honest. After the beat-up he became my fav character. Imo, him mostly, and the chemistry he had with Rak was the saving grace of this sinking ship. Still can't believe he got that tattoo and ruined his beautiful neck, child, if you wanna forget someone get a hobby, don't ruin your skin.

Also the two female side couples went nowhere, and did we need to know the actress friend spoke french? It was so random, and a waste of screen time, cuz it had no follow up whatsoever. And that assistant girl. Do people really find whinny people adorable and cute? Because like, every time she showed up, I wanted to put a bag over her head, which is unfortunate, cuz the actress was so beautiful, but the role she was given to act was just unfortunate.

And I'm still not sure what that cousin girl who threw water in her own face wanted? Whenever she was on screen talking about whatever I was like, okay sure, whoever you are. What the hell did she want from Rak and why was she so angry her auntie likes gigolos? Did I miss the explanation?

Anyway, I remember all of us being in shock in that unholy shower episode, and counting wrappers, the tl was fun that day. Although there wasn't much going on here, and things felt flat to me, if you are a FortPeat fan, you'll sure enjoy this drama a lot, cuz their chemistry is still very great. So I'll recommend it. If not for anything, watch for the chemistry and Rak's fashion.

This Drama Owns Me Child Support

See, now this is why you should always throw salt over your shoulder whenever you see a black cat. I blame whoever gave Tonkla that cat. Also, Dafug was up with that finale? *Bombastic side-eye*

That being said, whoever choose to end the series with that KinnPorsche song should be beaten, and left in disneyland on their birthday. Dafug?? The moment that song played, I was pulled out of this series and into KinnPorsche, reminiscing about that instead of going through the motions of this drama. That decision was just the worst!

Anyway, this show was a series of me going, Dafug is going on?!? Where are we peoples? Who is driving this thing? I am confusion. WHAT universe/timeline are we in? And what's up with Tonkla always wanting it raw banana no wrapper? I don tire! I am going to sleep!

See, at first, I was like: 'Now how we gonna explain that unholy first episode couch scene to our ancestors on judgement day? Cuz most of y'all going to hell for using that replay button ^^.' But after episode 4, I was screaming 'Forgive me father for I have sinned!' Lord have mercy, what is Be On Cloud doing to us?? SIR! SIRS! THIS IS A DRIVE THRU!?!?!

No, but how the eff am I supposed to function in the society as a calm human after being exposed to all that butt and sounds and Win's junk and Tymes stroke game? These people have no respect for our mental health whatsoever, and frankly, I respect that XD.

Listen, Imma need everyone who worked on this to give me child support, and like two weeks worth of therapy, cuz I'm pretty sure you can get pregnant from watching this. Trust me, you can, I'm a doctor, i got my certificate from Temu, the same place the doctors in this show must have gotten theirs (No, but seriously, did these people go to med school or am I tripping?) Tyme tying his own robe after cleaning his hands, that one doctor telling Great where to find Tyme while he was having an operation??? HUH?? Then they made Tyme a professional doctor, LMAO good luck to his patients I guess.

PLOT:
This show had me convinced me and my two remaining brain cells had the same IQ as Einstein. Which was saying something, cuz on a good day, I can barely remember how to tie my shoelace. No, but, I went through so many theories in my head. Was this a flash-point sort of situation, a continuum or a parallel universe? Episode 4 had me in a chokehold. Headshots, backshots, alternative universe? I felt so lost, but also so intrigued with million questions. I was still picking my jaw from the floor two days later.

Then, THEN, after all that. This was the ending we got?? Literally how? This drama feels like a very delicious bag of caramel popcorn I enjoyed, only for the last piece to taste like burnt sugar. Like a perfect delicious five-course meal ruined by a tasteless creme brûlée.

That ending was not it. It was such a buzzkill.
1. Were Korn and Tonkla that in love? We met them as secret lovers, sure they seemed in love in the flashback, but they both cheated, and functioned without each other. Korn was ready to take Great and disappear, and didn’t even fight Tonkla when he threw his sorry arse out. Plus he only ever seem to remember him when he's his last resort. So how in the world would they take the ‘Until We Meet Again’ Romeo and Juliet way out? I’m just gonna comfort myself by saying he didn’t want to go to jail. Cuz like… aint no effing way.
2. So if Great and that woman got this 4minutes thing by going to that art show, how did Tyme get it?
3. How did that Dean? doctor knew that Tyme was living in 4minutes timeline and shouted for him to come out?
4. Great turned himself in for helping Dome. Did he do the same for leaving that woman in the beginning to die when he drove off? From my understanding he’ll get no prison time, cuz reasons? (Also, what happened to that woman he drove over, wasn’t she doing some dark curses stuff? did the writers forget that plot?)
5. So Great's parent are going to jail or fled the country?
6. So Win couldn't do anything to stop Korn huh?
7. Do they really expect us to believe, Tonkla who was going around killing people for revenge, and clearly using Win so he'd do him raw will jump in front of a bullet for him? I doubt he did it for Korn, cuz he knew Great was Korn's brother and how hurt he would be if he killed Great, and he still attempted that... so why the eff did he suddenly jump between them?
7. Literally, what the eff was up with that ending? (even their happy ending felt flat.)

Sure with 8 episode they were limited, but the explanation to that whole 4minutes thing was all over the place. Seems like everyone and their mama could get this 4minutes thing. The bad guy was taken care of behind the scenes, and have a loving daughter. His parent fled but he's working to get them caught? The finale felt rushed and not in a good way. And the WORST PART was choosing to end this series on a KinnPorsche song. So out of place and such a buzzkill.

Anyway, good plot, some holes that needed filling, rushed ending, but it made me think, and it was fun coming up with theories, so I enjoyed the show nonetheless.

CHARACTERS.
This show had a great cast who knew what they were doing. I came in expecting TymeGreat, but Tonkla somehow stole the show in the first episodes. Literally, he shot the main lead and I was like… oh, it was you…? it’s alright baby, run before they catch you. Drink some water, you must be tired carrying that heavy weapon.

Also, this show was having a buy one get four free special on red flags. Tyme was a code Red. Of course, so was Great, Korn, Tonkla, Win, and basically every character on the show. It was like they were allergic to being nice people. Which of course made for a good show, cuz although I was cheering for some of them, I was prepared to accept whatever ending they got. Happy or sad,

Bible and Jes did great as leads, glad I wasn't one of those delulus who acted like someone stepped on their grandmothers' toes when they were paired. I liked GREAT, Bible played him very well, both when he was acting nice and when his real character came out. I found him so interesting as a morally grey character. He was neither good nor bad, just seemed to be living and doing things that mostly benefited him. TYME was more dark than grey, cuz some of the decision he made were very very questionable. I would not trust him to be my doctor if he was the only one available in the ER. I'll probably go in with a headache and come back with tetanus or something.

I’m not sure how I feel that they ended up together, but I’m glad they have each other. Great has at least one family now. But then again, perhaps they deserve to end up together. I mean, Great choose Tyme over his brother in both timelines, when he’d literally just attempted to knife him. Also killed his mother off in his fake world. And Tyme recorded their intercourse and posted it all over the internet, and Great still gave him those poppy eyes… so… love amirite? Such sweet nonsense.

Speaking of Raw. TONKLA, boy, damn! This is literally him in every episode.

MEN: What's your favourite colour.
TONKLA: Triangles. So, you wanna do me raw?
*Durex Condom has entered the chat* #productplacement

Homeboy was such a wreck.
- His dad was a bum: (who he straight up shoved down the stairs and murdered)
- His cat dead. (Then turned into an evil cat who meowed him into committing murders) invest in salt people.
- His boyfriend kept him a secret. (Then he cheated on him, and attempted to kill his brother. That confession scene though, my boy was like, yeah I did stuff, so what. what is yous gonna do, huh?)
- His brother got his head smashed in and died. (I'm still wondering how he heard his brother calling him. Was he also in the 4minutes? just how many people were messing with the timeline. Probably why there's always so much traffic ^^)
- He got shot and killed while trying to save the policeman he’d be effing/cheating with, causing his secret ex-boyfriend? to blow his head and die with him. (Literally, are people ever that in love or am I feeling this whole love thing wrong?)

Anyway, Tonkla had a lot of problems, like damn Sharon, leave some of the struggle for the other characters. He was so on, but his character was very interesting. I liked him, and he was carrying the show the first 4 episode. His back must have been constantly hurting though, carrying his role and taking those backshots....fine, I'll see myself out.

Win used this police statues to get some bedroom action, which made him no better than the rest. When he said he wanted to move in with Tonkla, I was like, what? why? dude just…then in the end he was acting all hurt. Like how did you think this was gonna end? Seriously though, Win's ding-dong was really just out there--like--I saw it right? I'm not delulu and blind? Am I just tripping?

Anyway, this show was doing too much and not enough at the same time. There were a lot of NC scenes, and side stories, that it took so long for us to understand the plot. Well, I’m still not sure I fully understand it all. 8 episodes was not enough for this sort of plot-line to be properly executed to perfection. If they had more time, I'm sure this would have been great, instead of just good. I wish we had more episodes to flash out the storyline.

So yeah, good show, great cast, but the it felt rushed and the ending didn't live up to the hype. I’ll recommend it though, cuz it’s a very enjoyable drama and would have you pulling your hair in the episodes where nothing made sense. I'm gonna add this to my most fav dramas of the year along with Unknown, My Stand-In, Meet You At The Blossom and Century of Love.

I’m looking forward to the casts’ next work, they were a joy to watch.

Discount Thanos & the Debtors

Now, hear me out, and this might just be me, but if I had a super ring that basically made me Thanos with hair and less purple, I would not make it so that anyone who have the ring can immediately, without reason, become the most powerful person and drive me out of my house and country. Thank the eff the finale made some sort of sense of it. Also, for most of the drama, I was convinced these people were allergic to happiness, cuz the eff is up with all that hurt, heartbreak and tears? That boyfriend era lasted like 0.3 seconds and a cheek kiss.

Listen, this was me the moment I saw Jack's face for the first time.
ME: Ew, it’s Vee from Love Mechanics. I hate that dude.
*Jack walks in, slow motion, in a black suit.*
ME: I mean, sure Vee sucked to high heavens, hurt Mark and broke his heart, but like, did Mark die? Personally, I've always like Vee. Haha, nice suit man, I love you dude.

Pfttt. Don’t judge me, I am weak. Petition to burn all Yin’s cloths and leave the suits so he only wears suits, like, forever and ever? Cuz, dude was wearing those suit. HE WORE. Suits were made for Yin.

Oh, and, these people kept going 'Boss this, Boss that, Boss, Boss, Boss.' So much, I thought that punchable excuse for a bad guy's name was Boss, only to find out it was... and I kid you not... Alice. His name this whole time was Alice. No wonder he seemed so lost and confused and got played. Also, was the whole ring thing being some sort of game the rich were playing the best the writers could come up with? Like, I buy it, but I also don't. As reveals go, it felt like an ex-machina to save themselves after they realised that plot device made no sense whatsoever. Oh, well.

Anyway, Joke made crying and being heartbroken felt like an Oscar performance, and he was aiming for gold. Damn, son, leave some of the heartbreak for the rest of us. That thief owes me for emotional damages, cuz he made sadness looked so beautiful, my arse spent episode 10 and 11 crying with him. War deserves like all the awards for just his crying alone.

Listen, this show was a rollercoaster, and I liked most of it. From the silliness, to the heaviness, to that unholy episode 10 and 11. Sure, I wanted to boo at episode 11 for bringing back the curse episode 11 nightmare, but I was too busy crying with Joke, I let it slide. And the ending of episode 10 was so traumatizing, I legit forgot about the heavy breathing sexy scene from the beginning of the episode. Poor JackJoke, their boyfriend era lasted for like one bed scene and a swing playdate.

I knew shit was about to go down, cuz dafug you mean, ‘I love you’ right when you leaving for a mission against discount Thanos? This is how people die. The moment Joke said ‘I love you’ I went. Child, will you keep quiet? Don’t jinx it. Well, we all know how that ended.

Random sidenote: Did this people really think I’ll be crying while War was singing that I’m sorry song, when all I could picture in my head was him in that tank-top in the MV? LMAO, good luck with the tears I guess, ain't nobody crying here. But like how talented is War? What can't that man do?

PLOT:
I enjoyed the plot of this show. Some things I overlooked, like the Thanos ring thing, how those poor people kept making the most stupidest decisions, comedic timing and etc, but when all was said and done, it was interesting enough to hold my attention and bring me back every single week. I liked the intensity, the jokes, the emotions, and the overall cast. Story-wise this didn't really feel like something new, but the redemption arc with Joke added depth to it, how he was struggling to become a better person, personally I think he was always a better person, heart of gold. And also how the good guys, no matter how hard they tried, always made decisions that hurt others. Nothing was black and white here, which made the plot interesting and worth watching. There were some stale parts in the middle that not even the good actors could make interesting, but when everything was added up, the plot held its own well.

CHARACTERS
Joke stole the show for me. Every time he did another character I was so impressed by War's range as an actor. Him as a lady was so beautiful, my arse was this close to asking for beauty tips XD. Jack and Joke's journey was a wild ride, going from friends to enemies, then enemies to friends, friends to lovers. And in-between it all, we went through the high and lows with them. For a second there, I thought it was only going to be all lows, cuz damn, these people knew how to make us suffer. I enjoyed their journey, and as leads, Yin and War carried this show very well, bringing their characters to life. As always, their chemistry was chemistrying and that forehead touch might just be the best thing ever.

The secondary characters here also had their own thing going for them. Everyone seemed to have their own problems they were working through, which added to the overall plot, so that was good. I wanted more of Tattoo and Aran, cuz it seemed they were suppose to be a thing, then took an arrow to the knee somewhere along the way. I wanted to know more about Hoy as well, he seemed the only one who didn't have any sort of background.

Rose grew on me. I came to love how graceful she was in defeat. No, her heart was literally breaking from being rejected and I was out here laughing cuz she took it so well, although she wanted to cry. I was so happy she wasn't one of those delusional female characters who can't take no for an answer. Love her. In the finale, she seemed to have grown out of her rich girl naive phase and understood her circle of rich people were evil/jerks , so good for her. But like, rich power hungry people are just the worst!

As for the Boss, he was a typical bad guy with no redeeming qualities or even an interesting background. He came off as greedy, unlikable and just dreaming of becoming a bigger fish than he was. That whole Thanos ring thing seemed like a big deal, but then in the end Rose was like, give me back my ring, and he was like, well, I wasn't the one who stole it. And the whole time, I'm confused, cuz if it's that easy to ask for it back, why her family ran? And why Boss made it look like he basically owed Thailand cuz he put it on his finger? Yeah, that whole ring thing made no sense to me. And somehow, in the finale, knowing it was all a game, still does not sit right with me. Should have been a big plot twist but I can’t feel the payoff.

Joke's father was nothing but a sperm donor in the beginning. I didn't understand why he didn't see himself as being part of how Joke turned out. I mean he was constantly making him feel like he wasn't enough, while the little brother was like everything. And the only time he said anything good was about the Joker thief. I was happy for the father's growth, how he came to apologies as well, and they became family again. When their family was together in the end, I cheered a bit, Joke deserves that so much!

Look, I managed to forgive Tattoo, but for some reason, I can't get over Save's betrayal. Yes, he was also trying to get himself and his evil boyfriend out of debt, but he was directly and knowingly hurting everyone else, just to be free. And these were friends that he pretended to love. Yes, they all did stuff to be free, but I still can't forgive him. Man tried to poison and kill poor Grandma. Heck no.

Okay, I sort of forgave him after seeing the finale, but they up and made him the new Boss? The guy who knows how to hurt everyone where it hurts the most? The smart guy who was giving Boss all the evil ideas? Nah, these people don't want peace. Then again those 4 horsemen might know what they are doing putting such a person in charge. I did like him and Hope though. In the finale, seeing Hope being stupidly proud and in-love was cute, although I've still only forgiven them halfway.

Now, the Grandma was the real MVP of this show. Woman was legendary. Lol, Joke out there getting his arse whooped and she was holding her own by throwing food. Loved her!

FINALE:
Felt like, after trying to make a very good show, the finale lost the concept. Cuz this hour and half episode felt like the writers and director were trying to fill as many cliches as they could into the ending. From the cartoonish fights, some out of place comedy, last minutes saves, no real plans, dramatic over the top scenes, and unnecessary waiting times for the good guys to converse while the bad guy just wait, everything about most of the finale had me going... yaaay mediocre, where's the awesomeness from the beginning of the drama? Yes, having them play the game was interesting, built some tension, but many things had me throwing questions at my screen.

Even so, I was happy for the happy ending, cuz for a moment there, I thought we'd get a sad one and it would ruin my Christmas. That being said, that finale was so convoluted and also somehow long. Legit, most of the fighting scenes had me rolling my eyes, cuz there was so many ways to win over that Cardboard or Carpenter or whatever his name was but they kept just making stupid decisions. Arrrggg. Literally even when he was down, Jack and Joke decided to just not go for the tablet/control thing. Like, literally that was the whole point of the fight. Stupid. And as villains go, I legit did not care one bit for that Cardboard paper character... took me a while to even remember he was that one guy.

I hate basic villains who get so talkative and petty when they get the upper hand. Boss suddenly turned into this childish person with that over the top trying to do evil things. And then suddenly bam, it was all a game, everyone is safe, and instead of making room for Tattoo and Aran we had to watch Alice slow dance with his ghost wife. Yeah, no thanks. Though, seeing that he's probably out there suffering is good punishment.

HAHAHA that ‘Zorry’ scene. I admit, that was one of the best things about the finale. I paused to finish laughing before continuing, and then when he tried to explain himself, I lost it even more!!

Jack and Joke's engagement? I am calling it a proposal, cuz what else could it have been? I loved how simply and easy it felt. Jack offered the ring, and Joke just happily took it without question. Their happy ending was well deserved/earned. Wish I saw more of them with their daughter. Well, now that the father is back? would they still adopt her? Would Tattoo and Aran give it a go? Either way, I'm going to miss this drama and the cast.

All-in-all, YinWar made the last quarter of bls this year fun. The tl was alive every week with theories which made Mondays not suck so much, and I enjoyed it. The drama is not without flaws, but it's one of my favourites dramas this year. I recommend it to everyone who loves a good bl, watch it, you'd like it. Looking forward to more work from YinWar in the future. For now, I'mma go watch Yin in suits, and War create stuff with clay and grin at my screen. Bye bye.

A little Ray of Light Got Through

This is not for the weak of heart. This will shatter you. This series is a beautiful porcelain teapot with millions of cracks in it. It has lost its shine and now its disgusting, seeming almost worthless. Whatever it lets out is dark, vile, broken, hard to stomach and hurts to comprehend. But every once in a while, a little ray of sunshine manages to get through the cracks, and although what comes out is a mess, chaotic, dysfunctional and unhealthy, it's also bright, happy, full of life, hopes, dreams, and above all else, it's beautiful. It's a beautiful mess that comes with facing a storm and coming out a winner. The rainbow after the storm,

This drama made me cry. Made me question the love of a parent and humanity. I'm not going to write a long review, cuz I am sure everyone felt how I did when I watched this, so no more words are needed. We all know, Haoren and Chihiro's story would stay with us for a long time.

Applauds to everyone who worked on this one, they all did well bringing this to life in a way that touched the viewers.

Joe Needs To Be Slap With A Rubber Chicken

What annoys me the most is that, Ming put Joe through hell, all because he was in love with a guy who acts like he sniffs glue and sells hair nets on e-bay.

That being said. There must have been a 2-for-1 special on stupidity, cuz Joe sure bought a whole lot.

CHARACTERS:
Listen. Joe is a bummer. He makes sadness look pathetic. He’s like that friend who always ruins the mood whenever you ask them how they’re doing:

ME: Oh, hey, friend, how was your day?

Bummer Friend: Nothing much. My cat is in therapy. I wanna get a perm, but I don’t think I have the face for it. My parents threw me out so I’m living under a bridge now, and I got hit by a bus last week and died. 😑

Sure, sure, we can argue that Joe is pathetic because he couldn’t catch a break, and every time he did, it was at the expense of his self-respect, but damn… the dude just bummed me out. So much that when he died the second time, I was chewing on my popcorn like:

ME: Oh, noo, dude…you like, got shot and stuff…you rolling down the stairs dude…is you dead again?... (Side note: Did they really have to make him roll down the stairs like that? It was just sad.)

And yes, we all love/hate a no-self respecting, pathetic love-sick fool character. The only reason I watched ‘Theory Of Love’ was that bathroom scene where Gun's character got his heartbroken, and he was crying under the shower, but the water stopped, so he had to use bottled water. I laughed like there was no tomorrow, then went and made popcorn so I could binge-watch the rest of the series, and judge him through the screen.

So yeah, throughout the series whenever Joe did anything dumb, which was every time he opened his mouth. I went:

ME: Yayy, go on honey, be a dumb-ass, stay with that dude who took your virginity and can’t even remember it, and refers to you as a ‘stand in’, because he’s in love with a guy built like a Minecraft table.

Some of the things Joe did, and allowed Ming to do to him, busted my mind. And what do you mean he DIED again because of TONG! TONG!!!  I understand if it was like for a person person, but Tong? Come on son! Do-gooders should come with a ‘self-sacrificing idiot’ forehead tag or something, cuz... Bishes be crazy!

And sure, Joe was a tortured, handsome fella who needed love, But, Joe, Joe, oh Joey, Jojo, Jeremiah, Josephina. To quote Earth from Moonlight Chicken: ‘How you gonna be poor, gay and dumb at the same time, child?.’ He suffered so much because… *check notes*

1. He had no family. (His dream was for someone to turn on the lights in his house.)
2. He had (1) friend. (And that friend wanted to get into his pants, but yaay friendship, right?)
3. He was a ‘stand-in’ boyfriend(eff buddy?). (Sure Ming hit him in the head with a baseball bat, kidnapped him, chained him up, caused him to fall off a cliff and die, but hey, at least they had his-and-his mugs. So, awwww love.)

I don’t even know what to say about Joe. Do I dislike the character, I guess not, because he’s too sad to even dislike. I just couldn’t get over all the dumb decision he made… **check notes** again:

1. Gave his virginity to Ming who was drunk off his arse
2. Asked Ming to move in with him so he could turn on his lights for him.
3. Died, came back, and went straight to Ming to be his stand-in ho. He wasn't even the main ho at that point, he was like a stand-in ho, for a stand-in ho.
4. Accepted Ming’s broke arse! (Dude, you are poor, how you gonna take care of him and your sick fake mom?)
5. Got kidnapped (again) and beaten for TONG. TONG!!
6. Died again so he can protect Ming. (You know, the guy who treated him like used slippers.)

I kept screaming, ‘No, girl, no, no!’ every time he made another dumb decision. Homeboy gets a second chance, complete with a whole new face and everything. And I thought he was gonna move cities, start over, join a local church or something but, the mfer was like:

JOE: Well…the thing is…you know…Ming glued the mugs together, you know the one I broke when he mistook me for his sister’s husband, who he’s in love with? Haha… he has changed… he wears old lady blouses, and wants to keep me as his ho… in exchange for money, so… yeah, *in love noises*

ME: This dumb-ass mother… *throws chair**

For one split second I thought he'd finally learned something, because he was like : "No Ming, this second chance is mine!" (Only to immediately proceed to try and get out of a moving car.) A moving car. Like???? And after all that yelling and 'Ming forget the old Joe, this body doesn't love you', homeboy didn't even make it half way down the traffic light!

And while he was talking about 'If you loved the old Joe why did you make me your paramour.' my arse was rolling my eyes at the screen going 'dude stop using that fancy arse word, use your government name, yous is a ho. A stand-in ho.'

Joe just vexes me! Every time he gives Ming those poppy dog in-love eyes I go.
Child! Child! Stop, Run. You must be a special brand of stupid to die, get a second chance, then go straight to the person who caused your death. JUST, WHY?? ARE YOU OKAY?

At this point, I’m gonna console myself by believing that Joe is color blind, cuz there’s no rational reason as to why he returned to Ming a second time. WHY??? And in the finale he’s talking about 'I forgive you, forgive yourself, I’ll always choose you cuz I don’t know what I’ll live for if not for you?' ‘CHILD! How about your fake mom? huh? How about living a life where you are not afraid your partner will hit you upside the head with a bat??’

You know what, eff Joe! My blood pressure can’t.

But like, Poom is an amazing actor!! Most bl actors looks like they are laughing or sniffing glue whenever they cry, but Poom was different. Even his eyes could act. Beautiful talented man. But Joe though, the bummer can go hug a tree.

Okay, on a side note, are we going to ignore the fact that, that woman’s son died and she didn’t even got to mourn? Sure, Joe is a good son to her and whatnot, but damn, homeboy took over that body with zero guilt.

MING. oh, MING.

HAHAHA. Some people talking about, ‘Girl, Ming is such a RED FLAG. AND???!’ HAHAHA. My sister, even if na red sea, I go still take cup drink ‘em!

Cuz we love drama in this house. And Ming, oh Ming, talk about a guy you wanna punch under a mistletoe. My anger when it came to him was unhealthy. Do I wish he go bury himself in a hole at the centre of the sun and die? Sure. Is his toxic arse gonna make me add this drama to one of my favs? HECK YEAH.

Listen. Ming, like an old rag, deserves to be taking out every spring and beaten. This little guy, who acts like the world bothers him (I just remembered Joe let a collage? graduate drive him off a cliff.) mistreated our gentle soul Joe, because he saw someone’s back in a mall one time. I mean, how you gonna fall in love with Tong, your sister’s boyfriend, who looks like a dollar store bubblehead?

Ming was so toxic and for what? TONG? The guy who used his unborn child as a bargain? The guy who on so many occasions broke your heart. TONG!

And after everything Ming did, the writers gave him like two ‘redeemable’ scenes, changed one red traffic light into green, said sorry under some shooting star, made him wear those silly cute aprons, and expected me to forgive him. LMAO I’m not Joe, I’m not gonna come back and let him eff me again. One time is enough!

But they almost got me in the finale though ^^. With all the smiling, crying and shooting stars, and tiny clay pots and aprons… but I stood my ground like. ’No, you will not get me to forgive Ming, not today Satan!’ So yeah, eff the tiny pot , apron, and the shooting stars, I’mma still hold on to my hatred.

Also, how in the hell did Ming manage to stop Joe from opening that afterlife door? Mfer is next level of toxic. He was like: 'Bish, where you think you going, I'm not done with you. If you don't get your arse back in here.' Poor Joe, the devil works hard, but Ming works harder.

UP did so well with this character, because I see UP on my fyp on tiktok and I grin and coo and go, bestest boy. But the moment Ming shows up on screen I wanna throw tiny rocks into his eyes and push him off a small cliff.

TONG
Hmm. Ha. Hmhm. Haha. Hahaha. HAHAKAHBIERJWOJFWNF. AHHHHHHHHHHH. GAWDDD, sure Ming deserves to be poke in the eye with a sharp object, but TONG deserves to be slap repeatedly with a glove, then you know, kicked into that black hole at the centre of the milky way. Eff that dude!

And ,and, after all he did, he got no retribution whatsoever!! I swear, this world is not fair. And the last episode wanted me to feel happy for him, but he’s smiling and I’m rolling my eyes like:, ‘Happiness don’t even look right on him, dude out here looking like the inside of a pencil case. Arrgggg, take a long nap under that pool, please!!’

Somewhere out there in drama world, Tong is happy with his wife and chubby son, and I wish he steps on a lego every time he smiles. And he chokes every time he drinks. XDD

SOL:
Now tell me why every time this dude popped up, I went, ‘My brother, my brother, go sit somewhere, this ain’t about you!’ LMAO. Sure he was an o-kay-ish friend, but he was like a tiny red-flag with a green wrapping, so shifty, looking like that one lizard in ‘SING!’

In the finale when he took his sorry-arse bag and got into the car with the stranger, I was like: ‘Sure, dude, get kidnap and die. See if I care.’ So, yeah, I wish him all the best, I guess.

PLOT
Interesting concept, I am tempted to read the book I heard this was based on. I think the actors did what they were supposed to. I hated and liked them accordingly, so they did their job well.

THINGS THAT DIDN’T MAKE SENSE
- Joe’s fighting skills going away whenever he needed it
- Writers trying to make us forgive Ming
- Joe literally letting himself be kidnap for TONG
- TONG being a popular actor. (Like, did that dude ever shoot enough scenes to make a finish drama?)
- TONG being forgiven!! Seriously??? Nothing?

THINGS THAT MADE SENSE
**Crickets**
Edit: 07/10/24 : I found a scene that made sense. The chicken fight between Sol and Ming. SKSKSKS, it didn't make sense, but it also made sense, and Joe just being the ignored third party made it so fun to watch. Upon rewatching, my ratings have gone up, Joe's eyes deserves a whole star, like they were acting more than the actor himself XD

Anyway, I might write more later on the finale, especially on the family, but for this review I just wanted to vent my frustration with Joe.

Ming, Come Collect Your Great-Grandfather

Dishonour. Dishonour on Huai’en, on his ancestors and his stupid arse adorable smile. Matter of fact, dishonour on his family goat. Darn red flag out there making me angry but also feeling sorry and sad for him.

So like, are we all gonna need to explain to our therapists why we’re normal for feeling bad for a psychopath with the cutest smile ever, or? Cuz, like… u tripping if you say you didn’t at one point feel bad for Huai’en and his stupid arse adorable face. But no, really, Huai’en is so broken he’s pitiful and painfully sad.

Finding out the same author who wrote My Stand-In also wrote this one made so much sense. Of course, Haui’en is a red flag, he’s Ming’s ancestor! XD

Listen, bls have been trying to out-do themselves when it comes to red flag characters. But Haui’en, oh Haui’en, homeboy is waay past red flags and turning into a whole arse red sea. Which brings me to this week’s ranking of red flags.

BLs Red Flags HOT 100

#1 Huai’en [NEW]
This guy might as well has invented the color red.

#2 Ming, My Stand-In [-1]
Y’all remember when he hit Joe upside the head with a bat? Good times.

#3 Vegas, KinnPorsche [RE]
Vegas apologists be like: Sure, he kidnapped and tortured Pete, but like, did Pete die? hmm?

#4 Boston, Only Friends [=]
He’s the only good thing about that drama. I said what I said, bite me. Mew should be on this list instead, if not for anything, for that stupid arse silver chain.

#9 Vee, Love Mechanics [+1]
I still think Mark would have been better off as a creepy stalker following Bar into his 80s, and dying alone with 5 cats, cuz ending up with Vee’s two-timing, hypocrite arse was just tragic.

#15 Khai, Theory of Love [-1]
Meh, they should have left him at the train station.

And so on and so forth. I didn’t put Haui’en on top of this list for decoration. I know most of us can and will explain why he did the things he did, and even understand him. Yes, his upbringing was terrible, and he didn’t even know what love was until Xiaobao. When I heard his backstory, it remained me of Dr. Doofenshmirtz, (you know, when even his parents didn’t show up for this birth) #realsad. But he still did the things he did, and he was grown/sane enough to know right from wrong.

So, although I did understand him, and felt sorry for him. His character was a hard one to cheer for most of the time, cuz look at his track record:

1. His love language is threats and physical abuse
2. Kidnapped Xiaobao’s sister and threatened the poor child
3. Turned Xiaobao’s family in, causing them to lose everything (which the parents deserved btw) and Xiaobao to lose his home.
4. Indirectly being the cause of Xiaobao’s poisoning and pain
5. SA’d Xiaobao multiple times, and even in one did it while choking him until he was unconscious.
6. Causing Xiaobao to lose his smile.

No really, Haui’en was something else. This guy comes to ask for a second chance and his apology is like ‘I want to take you away to a place where there is nobody and lock you up, and you’d never see your parents again. would you love that?’ Boy what? LOL, how is that what we going with??

Yeah, he did all the above and more, and got my blood pressure off the roof, so much that, more than once I went, ‘nah, yeah, I literally don’t care about him anymore, he can go hug a tree’. But then he turned around and..

1. Falls in love so deeply, he’s willing to destroy the entire empire to be with Xiaobao and protect him.
2. Gives up his royal title so Xiaobao’s family can be free.
3. Knowingly walk into danger and got poisoned to find a cure for Xiaobao
4. Going back to his sect to get the last flower and rescue Xiaobao’s sister
5. Not giving up on Xiaobao even after he constantly said mean things to get him to leave.
6. Standing up to his crazy arse uncle/dad and going through torture cuz he refused to give up his for love Xiaobao.
7. Agreeing to be Xiaobao’s good wife.

Why, why they out there trying to kill me with tears?? It was so sad listening to Haui’en talking about how he was never loved, although everyone says he looks like his mother. And Xiaobao thinking he must have done something bad for loving him, all because of how he was suffering.

Yes, we can all argue but agree that most of the good things he did was just him undoing the bad things he did, but still, that's growth, that he saw they were bad and he needed to fix them. So, good for him.

This series tested my morals. On one hand, I wanted to hate Haui’en with the passion of the sun. On the other hand, I wanted to do one of those side-ways, I don’t really care, take the blanket if you want things and protect him. But even with that, I will not excuse his behaviour, cuz his own actions brought him most of the pain he got into. If he hadn’t want to control Xiaobao and make himself Xiaobao’s whole world by betraying him, he wouldn’t have had to suffer heartbreak.

Which brings us to poor heartbroken Xiaobao who I want to protect and slap with a rubber chicken at the same time. Cuz really, he picked up a beauty, mind you, he found Huai’en while he was in the middle of slaughtering a whole bunch of assassins. Then he mistook him for a woman, and immediately decided to make him his wife. Literally, he went 'It's Mine' and just ran with it, not caring at all the consequences.

LOL, that concept got me, it was so funny, then homeboy was like ‘Hey, you, why are you a man?’ sksksks, why you think child??

Anyway, yeah, we can argue that his naivety and horny arse brought him all that misfortune, which it did, and he suffered for it. But damn, to still be in love after all that, and end up with him… yeah. But love am I right? The magic logic to solve everything.

Watching Xaiobao hardened his heart and living in pain was so hard to watch. It broke my heart so much to see the smile leave his face. At one point I wanted to put down my wine and hug my tv to console him… but then, you know, wine.

Hearing Xiaobao’s parents joke that he grew up overnight made me weep, cuz we all saw the pain and heartbreak he had to endure for that growth. This drama pulled on my heart. Started off all sweet, Xiaobao mistaking a beautiful murdering dude for his future wife… all warm and fizzy, then bam, sadness overload. And when Haui’en was left dying and he was thinking he didn’t deserve any happiness… water works :((((.

Rationally, I did not want those two to end up together. And when Xiaobao tried to let Huai’en go, I was like good for you, you’re not like those blind leads, you can actually see red flags. But of course, that did not last. That episode when he literally put his life on the line and went up the mountain to warn him, I was like: ‘Child, child, let that man go and go home and find something to eat.’ Obviously he did not listen to me, and almost died, so what do I know? Love, am I right?

I liked Xaiobao’s character, although he went back to his red flag with a big smile, I still liked him. I don’t know, both him and Haui’en were so sad and pitiful that I couldn’t bring myself to fully dislike them for their horrible decisions.

Not gonna lie. I do not hate that they ended up together. They both suffered, and now they both have an understanding of what to do to move forward, which is the growth they both needed. I’m glad they have each other, and they both found their smiles again.

EVERYTHING ELSE
Everyone played their roles well, even that annoying crown prince. every time he showed up, I was like. ‘child, will you keep quiet?’ out there acting like he licks postal stamps in his free time. Also, Haui’en’s whole family tree was crazy, cuz why was this crown prince in love with his cousin??

Su Yin had me in the first half. All caring and there for Xiaobao and his family, only to find out this whole time the mfer was trying to play match-maker! Out there acting like Xiaobao’s main father. At first, I thought he wanted to be more than childhood friends, turns out he wanted Xiaobao to grow up real nice and marry his sister, and have tons of children. HUH??? what? im— like?? Life in that time period was wild! Cuz, no one even raised an eyebrows when he said that.

That being said, I guess I understand Su Yin, yes he came to annoy me when he did things no one asked him to, watching him leave Huai’en to die was brutal. But I understand where he was coming from, wanting the protect Xaiobao, although he did too much at times. So yeah, as it stand, I ended the series feeling Wednesday about his character. I don’t hate him, I don’t love him. He's whatever. meh.

As for the bad father/uncle, so glad he ended up getting his neck separated from his head. Was so happy when Xiaobao said he won't allow Haui'en to visit him. He deserved to die alone with no one after how he treated the woman he loves' child.

SSKSKSK, my reaction was exactly like Xiaobao and Zhaocai’s when Jinbao was like, ‘I like the doctor’ what??? didn’t you like ran away or something to get away from him? Zhaocai was so done with them, lol! My man rolled his eyes so hard he saw the back of his head. Also that doctor was such a vibe, just out there saying whatever the hell he wanted.

PLOT
This had dark themes that they didn't shy away from. Plotwise, the concept was interesting, Xiaobao mistaking a man for a woman, and going whatever, love is love and deciding to court him anyway, got my interest. The royal background, and who is who of the brothers got confusing at times, but all in all, interesting concept. I really enjoyed watching this.

Omg, I was so happy when the guy who gave Xiaobao the poison died. Didn’t suffer enough in my opinion.

Also, we’ve come a long way since Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji’s long distant ‘subjective’ glances in The Untamed, to finally get a kiss from a Chinese bl, even if it was a collaboration with other countries, I’m still counting it as a win. Now, we wait and pray for 2ha's adaptation.

Anyway, all in all, a good drama that didn’t hold back in it’s dark theme. There’ are some triggers, so anyone who wants to watch it should be warned. I’m looking forward to more future work from the two leads, they had great chemistry. I'll recommend it to all bl lovers.
This is going on the list of my best watch of 2024, along with Unknown, My Stand-In, and Century of Love.

This Is My Roman Empire

This drama is Pizza, and Pizza is life. It’s a warm blanket on a winter night, wine and popcorn on a Sunday evening and fluffy clouds candies all wrapped in one. It’s one of the best dramas that came out this year, heck it's one of the best bl that came out of the industry. That being said, X and Namping traumatised me so much, I almost had a heart attack half way though the finale.

Listen, when the first episode started I went: what in the Wangxian, ao3 tags #soulmates #hurtnocomfort fanfic is this??? And why is it bloody awesome!?! I love it, please give me more! This drama is like when you enter a random restaurant and order the first thing you can pronounce but when it comes it's like a five-course meal, tastes like happiness with a side of chocolate fountain and have a live performance by Adele, all for the price of €6.99.

What I am trying to say is that, this drama is really great. It's a gem, a unicon. And you should be watching it like yesterday. I love the premise so much. I might just be that one person and try to sneak it into every conversation I have from now on.

Random waiter: Are you ready to order? I recommend the chicken and peas.
Me: So Namping left, right? And X waited and fixed the car but then... no, you don't know them. But then... and the box had photos and his videos. He filmed a farewell... *starts crying*
Random person at the next table: See Sharon, I told you we should stay home and ordered pizza, outside people are crazy.
Me: *still sobbing*: I'm not crazy, my mom had me tested. Nampingggggg, why? why you do this to meee! waeeeeeee.
Random person at the next table: I hate you Sharon.

No but, the funny thing is, I went into this series without even reading the summary. I had no idea what the hell it was about, other than I added it from one of those lists of upcoming bls on a random Tuesday. But yeah, I clicked on the first episode and fell in love with the leads and the concept so much, I legit stalked the actors socials after the 4th episodes just to make sure Top and Mick are okay, cuz that episode broke me. Then the audacity of those two dancing and smiling on tiktok while my heart was broken. They lucky I couldn't reach into the phone screen and slap them with a rubber chicken for making us cry buckets.

Anyway, here is my review of every story arc and my ratings.

DOL & SUN: (ep1) -- 8.5/10
This episode with people seeing colour for the first time when they meet their soulmates in the rain, reminded me sooo much of a Wangxian soulmates fanfic I read once on ao3. Sidenote: Anyone else keep rewatching untamed and reading the novel? Literally, why can't I move on from Wangxian? It's been years. Anyway, the carrot washing...wait, wrong episode. I meant colours. So, this episode was straight out of a fanfic, and I loved it.

At first I was like, Dol, stop playing hard to get, look at how adorable Sun looks in that helmet. And then that loser ex-boyfriend showed up, and I felt so sad for Sun, who has been hurt and lied to, and still had to endure physical abuse from that mouth breather. So when Dol showed up, I clapped. The plot of this one was straight forward, Dol had problem opening up cuz of his childhood and Sun was naive believing in soulmates. Thankfully, they figured it out in the end.

My fav part with Dol and Sun was when Sun showed up at his work to celebrate Dol's birthday when everyone seemed to have forgotten. I knew then and there they were gonna end up together. It was like that part in a fanfic when the writer leaves a note like... sorry, my cat is in therapy so no updates this week, but next week is gonna be #fluffy #weiwuxiangetsahappyending.

Anyway, as the opening to the series, it did a good job keeping my attention. They had that one episode to tell a story that felt complete and they did it so well. Mick and Top were great leads, and they made me fell in love with the characters, and the drama immediately.

PRIN & FRIST: (ep2) -- 9/10
Imagine my surprise when this episode started and they seemed to have switch things up, and now Prin is rich, the boss, looks like a prince from one of those disney movies, and First is a clumsy adorable secretary. I was like... wow, why you two such good actors, making me believe this is a completely different drama. No, but someone give Mick and Top their flowers!

Prin and First story was so simply. It was as easy as breathing, At first I was sad First was hiding the deal with the grandma, and thought it was gonna create a nonsense misunderstanding that would make them fell apart, but then Prin was so far gone, he didn't even care when he found out. I also love how the grandma wanted Prin to find someone and legit didn't care who it was. I was so happy it was only 1 episode, cuz imagine the nonsense episode 11 we'd have gotten, making us cry.

First was so cute in this one, with his pen and notebook being all adorable and quietly quitting cause he couldn't find anyone for Prin, and the whole time, I'm like... it's you. Come on brother, take a hint! The ending of course was so cute and fluffy and I was like... awww this drama is going to be all cute and lovey dovey for 8 episodes. Good, I need some fluffy Sunday dramas. BUT BOY WAS I WRONG. I WAS SOOO WRONG.

X & NAMPING: (ep3-4) -- 9.5/10 -- disclaimer (Pain level 100000000^2)
This arc sucks. It should be burn with fire. Matter of fact, throw the whole thing into the pits of hell. Dafug you mean he didn't show up the next year right when X finally brave up and got to know him?? TEARRRRSSSSSSS. And to think X wasted all those years not talking to Namping, and instead pretending to visit a random arse ghost he didn't even know. His ancestors must be proud. If only he'd had the courage to make a move faster. If only.

It's my fault, already in episode 3, I was like: hmmm is he sick? why is he dropping stuff? But then X lifted him from the shattered glass like he was the most precious element in the world, and I immediately went, 'naaah, he's fine. Look at them, adorable.' So yeah, should have seen it coming, but I was too busy going 'awwww' like an idiot.

Personally, I don't really remember the side couple in this one, did they end up together? I started sniffing when Namping broke down crying when they were about to do the devil's tango. Then, my eyes watered when X woke up and Namping was gone. And when Namping started crying without picking up X's calls, I went... no, bish no, don't do this to me. THEN... THEN... he didn't even get to see that the car was fixed. X breaking down was a process, from his realisation to full on sobbing was.... Me sitting in front of my TV on a Sunday evening sobbing was not in my plans, but that Sunday ended with me going to bed sad. I was sad about this until like the next week when I saw a behind the scene and Namping(Top) was there during that sobbing scene and went to comfort X(Mick).

Okay, but... NAMPING is the most graceful, angelic, cloud, fluffy, beautiful character ever! No, really how did Top managed to look so cloudy with a chance of angel like that? Like, even when he was sitting on that luggage he looked like an angel or some heavenly deity that shouldn't even be disturbed. It felt like it was even a sin to just touch him, cuz he came off so pure. Namping is the definition of clouds and desserts. He deserved all the princess treatment he got and more. And when they were in the river, literally those two have great chemistry, and their combined beauty seemed almost unreal.

Then of course there was X in those mechanic overalls, looking like whoever invented the word 'damn!' saw his picture at a museum one time. Like, he went from being soo clumsily cute in the last arc as First, then suddenly he was walking around like a tasty offering making those ghost brush. I'm still in awe at how amazing those two are able to switch roles so seamlessly.

I think this arc, although it hurt like a motherfather was my fav, cuz it forced me to feel, and it stayed with me for a while when it was completed. It's what a good story should do. And as always Mick and Top were amazing in their roles.

SIAN & BLUE: (ep5-6) 9/10
Now, how in the world did Namping go from being an angelic person to being a little gremlin? No, he was such a mood. When he kept sending Blue off to look for him, then he'd reopen the door looking like a beef cake, distracting the poor guy, I couldn't stop laughing. He was a little sh!t and I loved him so much.

This time it was Blue who was the cute, adorable one, painting and cooking, and just being the best brother ever to Green, while also thirsting after Sian and his hair and inability to put on a shirt. That fixing the pipe scene where he was just outside the window having an impromptu shower, while Blue tried to remember how to breathe was pure gold.

This was also a relax episode, even though there was some depth with how Sian seemed to have lost his passion with the lost of his ex, and Blue having wronged a friend. My fav part is how Blue, Sian and Green formed their own little family. And when he sang the song (Every Tears) he wrote and all their past lives was playing. TEARS. I'm gonna miss their arc so much.

Also, why the hell he always have some ex-boyfriend? Like, that dude just can't wait until his soulmate finds him? Not gonna lie, up until now, I have no idea what happened to that boy Sian wanted to marry, did he go out and never come back, or did he die? Felt like he went out to get eggs one morning and then dipped. Oh well, Blue got to see that water scene out the window, so a win is a win. Oh and, washing my carrots is gonna be interesting from now onwards.

INN & PUN: (ep2, 4, 6-8) 9/10
When these two first showed up in ep2, I was like: whomst? where are we? then the second time, I was like: ooh, so they are actors, and the arcs we are seeing are their series as partners, so no soulmates? Alright, cool cool, what a twist, but I get it, I love it, I'm here for it. When Inn asked Pun to be his boyfriend after Namping and X destroyed us, I was very happy, and went... okay, we good, no matter how the stories they are acting in hurts me, I know they are together behind the scenes and that's all that matters.

So tell me, why right after Sian and Blue got their happy ending, those two out there talking about they've been on and off and now they've definitely broken up cuz they can't change for each other? Bish then don't change? I swear I was prepared to sue for emotional damages if they'd broken my heart like X and Namping, After episode 3-4, I couldn't do the weeping alone in my house thing anymore. It was starting to feel sad and frankly, a little bit pathetic.

These two are my parents. I thought no matter what happens in the project they act in, they would be together forever behind the scenes, so then I won't be sad, so the dafug you mean you've broken up?? No, but when I saw Inn so happy with his ring, ready to propose, then Pun just broke up with him... I teared a bit. Cuz suddenly, Inn was back to being X, crying for Namping in that damn car. And the years later tag did not help at all, cuz I was like... oh, no, they about to break my heart again. I don vex when I saw the Otto Inn best couple thing... like y'all better be playing out here or something, cuz...

But thank the eff, everything ended on a happy note. I was sad Pun let them break up, saying it was was for the best, but then the flashback happened, and I understood. He gave them a chance to become the best version of themselves, so they could come back together and grow stronger. That proposal was the best ever. Like one random morning over breakfast, Inn just saw Pun as the man he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and then, he went down on his kneels and Pun said yes. Ahhhh tears.

The story of these two was such a rollercoaster. They were on and off, then off for years even though they loved each other. That workshop scene was amazing, really showed what good actors Mick and Top are. They said so much with just repeating the same words. Talented indeed.

It was interesting, knowing that while playing Sian and Blue, two people so lovey dovey, all that ish was going on backstage with the actors. Also, Pun, darling, that's not a face for being behind the scenes. You need to be center stage in front of the cameras. Then Pun was talking about not wanting to see Inn's work, cuz he'd be jealous of his co-stars, girl, who's fault was that, huh Mr. Cool Director? But all ended well, so I can't even complain. I loved Inn and Pun as much as I loved the other characters, perhaps even more, cuz there are OG.

OVERALL:
Yes, everything wasn't flawless, because they had limited time, some things were not expanded on, or were vague, or felt rushed. But, we had enough to make every arc feel complete and keep our interest. The production team on this did a really good job, and I'm sad we get only 8 episodes. It's not enough, this deserves like 5 seasons and a reunion season in 2030. Usually, I rant and nitpick, but I simply enjoyed this drama way too much, so imma just let all that slide. The stories we got were great, the characters great, and the chemistry was chemistrying. Mick and Top were really versatile and such greats actors. They made each new character their own, and completely made me immersed in them, without even comparing the previous characters. Where do they live? Imma use my last couple of dollars to send them flowers, and an angry note for making me cry in episode 4.

One thing I also liked was that, normally there's a clear top and bottom, but it took me until episode 3 to realise they are switching in this, and it was amazing, cuz it gave the actors room to be versatile and portray different characters with different set of emotions and actions

I can't wait to see more work from Mick and Top. I pledge to watch whatever they put out, even if it's them watching grass grow. I HIGHLY recommend this drama to all bl and drama lovers. It's a unicon, a true gem, and you need to watch it like yesterday. This is now my most favourite drama this year, and perhaps all time fav bl drama. GO WATCH IT, trust me.

San The 100 year Old VIRGIN

No really, knowledge was chasing some of these characters but they were faster, cuz the heroes didn’t even bring a knife to a gun fight, they brought a flashy projector with bad batteries, which immediately died. LIKE??? WHY, CHILDREN, WHY? LMAO.

This had some of the most cartoonish dramas scenes I’d ever seen, and I loved every moment of it. That being said, I swear the comedy made some of the characters seem like they had the combined IQ of that one coyote from looney tunes.

Also, tell me who the real Ms Wad is. No I don’t want to live in the present and learn a lesson. I am nosy, I WANT TO KNOW!! Which reminds me, was Wee on a Treadmill while he was trying to get to San in that dream sequence or am I tripping?

Sskskssksn, San being horny on main was gold. Mfer might die tomorrow, but he wanted to spend the night eating. I get it, after being a virgin for 100 years and pulling a stud like Wee, I too will totally ignore my dead date. His horny arse even said, ‘you can just lie there’ LOL, is that a kink I'm hearing? Huuhhh??.

Anyway. Listen, Century of Love is what you get when you give Daffy Duck artistic rights, cuz this was a chaotic funny ride. No, no, hear me out. *check notes*

1. The big bad villain showed up to the final battle in his bathrobe!! And he spend most of it, fighting his side-kick. LIKE??? LOL, settle this when you go home? why is yous all gonna fight now? And the funny part was, he kept shooting people in the back and in the leg, making sure he didn't hit anything vital. And of course, he immediately die and I was like... nahhhh...this is like sad and stuff mr...whatever your name was. He was so one-dimensional I can barely even remember his face. Oh, well, he dead though, so...stuff.

2. San giving Ms Wad the stone. QUE??? I was confusion that whole exchange, dafug you mean she deserves the stone cuz you didn’t chose her? that's not how it works? It made no sense, other than bringing drama—which, yes, I ate up. But damn, great-great grandfather done lost his marbles with that decision. Cuz why?? Out of guilt? And he knew he’d die without it, so then what’s the point of him choosing Wee if he doesn’t even get to be with him? make it make sense!

3. San, oh San. Mfer put on a hoodie, catwalk to the enemy's garage, saw that Suchat is a stupid head, then proceeded to tell the wheel chair villain exactly how to defeat him. LIKE?? The whole time he was talking I was like: Child, child! Will you keep quiet?? What surprised me the most though, is that after the villain heard all that, he just ignored it. He put his hands on his eyes and went, ‘la la la la, nothing to hear here! Nope, not me, I’m hearless!’

4. The minions throwing their guns away and grabbing machetes so they could match San. LIKE??? BROTHERS, BROTHERS, did we come here today for playing??? What nonsense was that? Not gonna lie though, that whole cartoonish fighting and with San doing his fancy arse poses had me rolling with laughter. It was very entertaining.

5. Wee, believing it took two days for his gun wounds and scars to disappear. Come on son, don’t shame your cool auntie. She did not raise you to be this dense and have the IQ of a potato. It took him literally a century to put two and two together. I hope they don't let him work the cash register at work, cuz---good thing he married an old rich guy.

6. Tao, throwing all his calculation out of the window the moment someone with the same face as Ms Wad showed up. Then why you bother with all that mumbo jumbo rituals? Then in the finale, he talking about it doesn't matter who it is. Boy if you don't harsh your face. I liked him though, he made me laugh in a lot of places, especially when he found out San's junk had basically been out of service for a 100 years.

7. I’m not even gonna comment on the Goddess. I aint trying get my arse strike by thunder or nothing--nope, not today! But like, why all the drama? Homegirl was so dramatic. Thunder here, rain there, nightmares in the corner, Wee on that treadmill, then stare at the camera for a little bit. Like, girl, I get it, someone grind your colourful stone and drank it, but damn girl, chill? Please?

No but this show had me rolling. That fight scene between them in episode 8-9 made me choke on my popcorn with laughter. HAHAHA, that exchange scene was so unserious, comedy gold, I found myself laughing instead of fearing for them.

CHARACTERS
Whom ever casted this drama deserves a pizza slice and like half a can of soda, cuz they ate with this. The chemistry between DaouOffroad was chemistrying and the support characters were supporting. I liked all the characters even Ms Wad and Third. Yes, I even liked Dr. Second Lead.

I loved DaouOffroad in Love In Translation, watched it while waiting on new episodes of this. (Side note. The moment I saw Daou in that drama I went, OMG YOUS HAVE HAIR?? SINCE WHEN?) LOL, but lowkey every time Wee left his job, I kept expecting Yang to show up and go ‘Phumjai get back to work!’ Also like, am I the only one surprised that Wee didn't get fired? Does he even work at that store, or does he just show up to move stuff around and go back home?

Anyway, I love Wee and San together. They made me laugh and cry. And like Chu, I was their supporter since day one. I love San in his old grandpa outfit just acting like a dinosaur and being effortlessly funny, while Wee was all sunshine and rainbows although his situation was so sad.

One thing I didn't like though about San was when he was being an annoying Coward, trying to pimp Vee to Third like a half eaten sandwich. Like were you hit in the head with a coconut? in what world is you quietly dying in a corner without even saying goodbye good? Boy must have left his brain in the past under that basket, cuz he was talking nonsense in that scene. I was ready to fight like, 'No, shut up, you two need each other! Go to him child.' Thank the goddess Third had enough brain cells to spare and brought Wee to him.

One thing I loved about Wee was when he was like, dude you don’t tell me what to do, if I want to date the reincarnation of the guy who killed me, I’ll do. Eff your concern I like dying. No, but I really liked how he formed his own opinion and didn’t get persuaded. Most bl characters would have made like postage stamp and stayed where they were when San warned them.

Now how in the hell did San become a great-great grandfather if he’s a 100 year old virgin? Like, his thing didn't even work when we met him. It was just decoration, collecting dust until Wee arrived. So howw??

And LOL, one slow motion shag and San is out there erasing Ms Wads existence with Wee’s. Damn, virgin’s am I rightttt? Also why were they so happy telling everyone and their mommy about their slow motion deed? San's better than me though, cuz, after a 100 years, I'd have tore Wee's cloth off with my teeth and toes.

Anywho, the casting of San’s family was perfect. I loved their reaction to things, especially the old man. They were all a fun bunch. And usually I don’t vibe with loud nosy characters like Chu, but I didn’t mind it in this one, cuz she added color to Sans personality whenever they were in a scene together. And, I love, love, love her tops *chefs kiss* beautiful.

Ms Wad showing up on a random Tuesday to ruin everything made me roll my eyes. Of course she’s gonna show up, we can’t have peace in this house. Also, there’s been too many females popping up in bls lately, imma need them all to find the exit, having an infestation in this economy is not good for my health.

That being said, I hated Ms Wad when she showed up that Tuesday, but after she kicked Suchat’s in that alley, I clapped. Girl thank you! That dude just vexes me! Also she's the real MVP of this show, girl just wanted to make paper and she made it her whole personality. In the finale when she asked to be paid, I yelled, 'Yes girl, I love you!' no, she needs her own show in the same universe where she scam people for money.

And that Third fella, the moment he showed up, I was like ‘Who is the jo with the jojo?’ Out there talking about ‘I liked you since our school days but waited too long’ Then keep waiting. Literally every time he tried to stake some claim I was like ‘Master, master, master, go sit somewhere.’ and then mfer went and said ‘If you break his heart, I’ll take him from you.’ Take him and go where?? Where is you going to him? Wee just rejected your sorry arse because he's in love with a 100 year old virgin who is in love with a ghost.

How the eff do drama guys think they can just take away the love-interest? I remember in Love Mechanic (Vee Sucks, goddamn air breather) that one random boxer with the personality of a brick wall, threatening to take Mark away if Vee didn’t threat him right. Bish where you gonna take him, huh? He literally can’t stand your peeping arse, where the eff you think you gonna take him??? Like, is that supposed to be romantic? Arrgggg.

Oof, but in the end, I came to like Third. Even understood it when he punched San. And I like how when he understand Wee's feelings for San, he supported them, and became a friend. Sucked though that he had to watch them be all lovey dovey, but that's on him for still staying in the same city after that rejection. I'd have moved countries. Mars couldn't have been far enough.

Anyway, Suchat just effing sucks, and I was glad he and his giant hair died. Won't even bother writing about him, y'all know he deserves to purchase real estate on the sun... so...

With all that being said, yes, the acting in this was good, the cast did not take their acting lessons from a block of cheese. Little San was such a good actor, really, he embodied his grown up aura so well. That child is going places in the industry. Side note: isn’t it weird Wee never asked about the kid once he moved in? Like did he think he’s in his room this whole time or what?

Plot
I liked it. The moment I read the summary, I knew I wanted to watch it. Also the comedy in this was on point, it made me giggle where I was supposed to, so kudos. The only bl I’ve find myself rewatching over and over is Cutie Pie, but I can see myself returning to this in the future to watch that funny exchange scene again.

The plot wasn’t without flaws. Yes, the villains had no depth and were so cartoonish, and the heroes made some bad decisions among other things, but it was entertaining enough that it wasn’t a glaring issue, which is all one can ask for nowadays in a bl show.

Episode 9 had me bawling my eyes off, so much, because you see, I watched this and episode 9 of Meet You At The Blossoms back to back, literally, why did I put myself through that???

I wasn’t ready for this show to end, so I went into the finale already sad. During the goodbyes, I went to pour myself some wine just in case it doesn't end well. The way I clapped when Ms Wad saved the day. I thought it was going to be a sad ending, and I would have accepted it, but this would have been a review of me cussing the writers and their ancestors, so here's another slice of pizza writers, thanks for the happy ending.

All in all, it was an entertaining show, even with its flaws. There was chaos, laughter, tears and arrggg moments, and I enjoyed it all. I highly recommend. It’s going straight to my list of best bls this year along side, Unknown and My Stand-In.
